Hey Guyz I recently installed froyo 2.2, n checked out my skyfire browser it worked on android!!!.... but when i launch Sky fire in WM it does not work, that July 1 error cumz up, is there anyway to get skyfire for android to work on WM some registry tweaks or so???

used skyfire yesterday. Not sure what your problem is.

Why do you ever need it for ,I have opera10 installed so much better.both Flash and youtube work great, the only let down is lack of multitouch.

hey well in most of the countries skyfire is not working after July 1 .. that mostly like every country except US... but the android version is working !

hey Haqba, the flash on Opera 10 work on some sites like youtube and sum sites that use old flash players, but skyfires works on all sites thts the main thing

Is it possible to use Skyfire with WM in Europe?

install it and check it out!

I have it in the UK and used it yesterday with no issues.

Embedded Flash in PIE or Opera

There are a lot of threads about this subject but somehow non of them where able to help me to get embedded Flash in websites.
I've installed the Flash 7 ActiveX plugin, installed Flash Lite. Together and separately. Reboots, instructions from this forum and instructions from Adobe.. nothing seems to help. I use the latest PIE and Opera Mobile 8.65.
When I visit www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/ in PIE I get a message that Flash version 7,0,70,0 is installed but without the embedded Flash element you would expect that says "Adobe Flash Player is installed.", like on a PC. When I visit the same page in Opera I don't get any messages about successful installations.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? If you need more details about somethings; let me know...
First post here... please be kind...
Actually, I've been looking for such a solution myself. Very easy to test my own website (www.LauraBraniganOnline.com) since I have Flash snippets on the top of each page that I purposely coded to read down to Flash 5...
Had an Axim x51v, Flash seemed to work OK... now got rid of that when I got my new AT&T/Cingular Tilt (HTC Kaiser), their latest ROM but hard-resetted and soft-resetted so I don't get AT&T's extra crap... btw doing this works fine for me.
But have Flash Lite 2.1 developer installed, had the Flash 6 installed, now have Flash 7 ActiveX installed, nothing works on any other browser but PIE (believe it or not, have Opera Mobile 8.65, MiniMo, and NetFront all installed).
Being from Philly originally, love to listen to KYW-AM news radio over the Internet, works fine on my laptop, dies on my new Kaiser... assuming that CBS coded their latest player at a Flash level higher than 7.
ANYWAY... what with all that background (are you all still awake... ), I'm wondering if there are any other back-end, side-end or otherwise workarounds to get OTHER browsers than PIE to read at least Flash applets coded for 7 or below... at least until the behemoth that is Adobe decides to actually give the incredibly exploding numbers of Mobile platform users a Flash player that actually works with WM6 and its growing number of non IE browsers. Heck, you'd think if they were so eager to push the Flash technology on everyone on the planet after buying out the much-loved Macromedia (I still use my good-ol' copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver!), that they'd have a mobile solution that actually works for those of us who still think that Microsoft is doing their own mobile users an injustice with a PIE that hasn't changed nearly at all from the old Pocket PC 2002 days...
Sorry for the rant -- spent about 5 days searching for a solution... and either I'm missing it, or it's really hidden... or it just isn't there yet... maybe we haven't bribed Adobe & Microsoft with enough $$$ to actually have them work on this...

Newer version of Opera Mobile and Flash support

I have read somewhere that there is a newer build of Opera Mobile than the one included with the Touch HD. This can be downloaded somewhere and is supposed to work with Flash Lite 3 for support of playing Youtube videos within the browser and so on.
Does anybody have experience with this? Does it support the WVGA-resolution on the Touch HD? Where can it be dowloaded?

Thanx Dodger for the link !
Installed the hacked VGA version of newest Opera with flash
But to be honest... i still use NetFront... i dont like this zooming all the time and Opera is not fast enough... i hope Microsoft will invent a good (!!!) web browser like Safari on the Apple. The newest Internet Explorer works like %!ยง/ , even slower than version 5!
I don't like the 15233 Build from the Omnia. The 15202 works better, because it still stores the settings into \windows\opera9 and not within the application data and the vibration for buttons still work with that build.
Is that "Flash" version of Opera really only for flash video pages like youtube, google video etc.? Or can it be used to view regular websites requiring a flash plugin?

Perfect Combo?

I've been a member here for a few years now and i use my beloved Trinity a lot, especially for surfing the net (opera mini (java) opera mobile 8.5 and internet explorer are mostly what i use) i've noticed a lot of people seem to have very few issues with running WM6.5 but i find it almost impossible to use WM6.5 for surfing the net without it constantly freezing or resetting on me, so i was wondering, which combination of WM, SPL and Radio Roms is everyone else using and how is ur speed / stability in conjunction with these? I'd especially like to hear from those who use WM6.5.
It's more of a curiosity based question than anything else.
....win 6.5,trinity p 3600,radio 1.46,supersport rom translated from rubenalf with titanium, opera mini 5 beta ( veryvery good ),skyfire (good, little bit heavy if not in wifi ) internet explorer 7 or 8 Idon't remember ( slow and heavy ) -
- no crash almost at all - I had more problems with manila 2d in win 6.1 -
thanks donaglia, i think i'll give that combo a try.

godofwap; does your dream combo work fine? please share ur experience.
unfortunately i still found this combo to be a little tetchy at times, for example, whenever i switch to desktop mode on pie 8 it always froze before the entire page loaded, and for some reason whenever i ran opera mini 4.2 (java) it always seemed to close the java app, opera mobile 8.5 worked well for a time but had the same problem as pie 8 when it came to loading desktop view, sky fire was a complete no go, wouldnt even load, so far the best 6.5 combo i've used is:
nAr & Icke WM6.5 [build 21874.5.0.83] WWE Titanium Version (here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606027 )
Olipro hard spl 1.20
Radio Rom 1.46.30.11
I was always fully able to load desktop views on opera mobile 8.5 and pie, although it did take between 1-2 minutes to fully load at times, opera mini 4.2 still keeps crashing but i could live without using that for the time being, sky fire still would not work, the combo overall was very smooth and relatively quick considering the fact it wasnt origionally designed for our beloved trinitys, i'm now going to try WWE WM6.5 24001 UL by The.Decoy (here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5547181#post5547181 ) to see how it works out, i'll keep you posted.
btw, i'd like to say that i think all the chefs here do a fantastic job, this post is just to determine the best combination for myself and anyone else who wishes to follow suit. I wouldnt want anyone to think that i'm dissing their work, so keep it up

Watch YouTube videos in Opera 9.7 - easy solution!

I was struggling with the flashOperafix - it didnt work properly, was crashing my browser, etc. I also did not find any plugin which would start the videos in the build-in YT app. But by pure luck I found a solution which is... Opera 9.7 .
Actually it is not the same Opera 9.7 which is provided in HTC HD2 - it is some tweaked or newer version which I think is available only in some networks. Anyway I installed this Opera as mine stopped working completely...
The first thing I did after install was checking out YT and the funny thing - it works like charm! But the best thing is that the video starts in the YT app and when you close it it goes back to the browser! So it works even better than on Safari and the iPhone!
Maybe sb already found it but if not... you need to check it out . Now I'm really happy with my Opera browser and I will try some more pages . I wanted Flash only for YT videos anyway...
I couldn't attach the file (bigger than 8MB) so here's a direct link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?kmtwjynzn4m
If the link stops working it's called "Miri_Opera97_TMO201" so you can google for it.
EDIT: Dailymotion works too! It says it is not compatible with our devices but I ignored and all videos work . The only downside is it does not support embeded videos on other sites but you can't have everything .
Does it support all the functions of the default Opera on the HD2,like multy touch or text page rendering etc.
Does it replace the original opera or I can install it on the storage card an have the best of the two worlds!! as is the case with the Opera 10 which I have installed it on my SC.

Works exactly like standard Opera 9.7, supports multi-touch, etc. - and it seems to be a little bit faster and more stable. On my phone it replaced the original Opera 9.7 and I'm very happy with that - I think you can install it without worrying as it is exactly the same Opera only better .
Thanks i am already downloading it and will try it soon,my only concern was that if i dont like it I had to HR my device to get back the original Opera, now that seem to be unecessary.
thanks.
I installed it and it works like a breeze!
Just for your information:
The concept it uses is very simple. It adds a m. in front of the youtube link like: m.youtube.com so it basically redirects you to the mobile version of youtube and saves you the hassle of adding the m. yourself (wich worked very well in the original version of Opera)
I tested the ROM artemis 26 ESN, but seems to no work.
I must say that I have customized registration User Agents to be "Desktop" and can influence it, to others of other changes ...
Maybe that's what you do not work for me, anyway thanks for the link.
Greetings.

Opera 10 browser and Flashplayer version query...

Hi guys!
Have any of you updated your browser yet to Opera 10??
I have and it's great!!!
I got so fed up of Skyfire being soooooo slow. It also seemed that Skyfire always wanted a WIFI or 3G connection. If it didn't get it.....it just didn't want to know.
Opera 10 is the business. Looks really fresh and new and is also really fast.
I've installed Macromedia FlashPlayer 7 and enabled Opera 10 to use it but I wondered if anyone out there has installed a higher version of FlashPlayer on their Windows HD2 with success???
It works okay with FP7 and does most things but it just won't go that little extra mile and play video content.
Does anyone know if a higher version will play a website's video contents??
I see that the FlashPlayer is up to 10.1 I think but I'm not sure if it's compatible with the Windows HD2????
Any thoughts??
Gaz.
Just installed it opera 10 it works like a charm. i still have to install flashplayer 10 it is somewhere on thit forum
Isn't it only for android? Or is there a new breakthrough??
Just do a search on this forum for /TX Opera Mobile 10 With Flash/ go to Settings>Abvance and enable the PlugIn.When you see a Flash in the browser, touch it,will Zoom in ,touch the flash again while Zoomed in will start to play Youtube video,Tap twice wil embad, touch again just once will open in/m.youtube.com.
Comprande!!.
Will play only the YouTube videoes, nothng else,
