Sony is fooling people - XPERIA X10 General

As u know X10 is having lot of problem like low call volume low ringer volume and no multitouch, still sony people are least bothered about the problems which
people are facing after spending so much amount on there phone they are dancing and telling about the good looks of the phone and up comming features
for the phone why they are not talking about the geniune problems which people are facing, They only want sales and make money out of it so people lets take the resolution that until these problems are being solved no body should buy this phone from now onwards because sony is fooling us.

We saw your first message man. Please dont repeat yourself.

Don't buy x10

I am telling you people never buy sony experia X10 untill SONY people solve the call in
volume problem and off course because of no multitouch, low call volume makes
the phone useless for day to day use , no multitouch makes the phone useless
for playing games.
Now u people decide if u can not hear on a call what other person is saying then what is the use of such a phone, and no multitouch makes the phone useless for palying games which require multitouch now u pepole decide should we take a phone just because in looks it is smart and useless in its function i don't think so
Ooohhh you've just opened a can of worms...
In the sense of abuse.
What kind of idiot posts this on an x10 OWNERS FORUM?
what. A. Twat.
No multi-touch makes the phone useless? I'd be to differ. I've come from another phone without multi-touch and I loved it. Especially my x10. I don't care about multi-touch. I'm sure few agrees with me too. Call in volume a turn off for the phone? Nah.. not for me.
Having quite hard time hearing already. I can still manage to hear my phone calls properly.
With those 2 you stated.. . . . the arguement isn't valid at all..
Well ive had mine since it came out and I ave ad no problems, she is rooted and works great, so before you slag te pone off considder the people who already have one and have no problems.
Because after all multitouch is the be all and end all.
Now do one.....
Competely agree with you yetep. Out of all the places to flame the x10 you pick here. I've had mine for 4 months now and I absolutely love it. I dont find the head piece too quiet and multitouch is only a gimmick I'd never use.
I don't have any problems with in call volumes at all. Multi touch would be nice, especially for games. But I can live without it. Don't really play that any games anyways.

hahahahahahah... Yetep - you are my hero!
Go Whine to sony ericsson, Or best of, Android is open source so lean how to fix the issues like the people here at XDA DEVELOPERS do....
+1 to Yetep
check the google
ok if u people think i am wrong then check the google for low call voume in X10
you will find so many people talking about this problem, and no mutitouch will make the difference after few months man when every phone except yours and mine will not be having this feature and we people will not be able to play lot of games because of this feature
I'm so glad that I live in a country where I can afford punctuation. It must be so terrible for those who can't.

The volume isn't that low.Maybe you should go to see your doctor.
I have a problem with something so everyone else must have the same problem? Strange way of making a statement about your own opinion...
Oz (loving low in call volume, keeps my hearing volume high )
I often find that a lack of punctuation is a strong indication of laziness.. interesting. Don't you think?
Mod should close this thread, but that's my opinion. Now the x10 is good for what it was made for and that's being used for calling not gaming. For me the volume is good.

What would YOU pay for ??

Hi forum.
I have a question for you.
But first to be 100% clear, i will pay when i have froyo on my phone, just as i have promished, this is NOT a "i will not pay"-thread in NO WAY, i just think we forget some dev´s work... Then on to the question:
As we now see that 2.2 rom´s are close, but without cracked bootloader, i would really like to know what you all think about that.
The reason is that we (many of us, and me included) have promised money for a working 2.2 rom, but what now about the people that is still working really hard on cracking the bootloader, should they not also get paied for that when they get it working ??
If not, i see no reason for them to continue, and i think they will stop the work, and that would really be a shame, as the cracked bootloader is the way to free our phone from S/E 100%.
AN OTHER THING:
The way that this payment is set up, would that not make progress a lot slower ??
What i think it this:
We say " i would pay for working froyo"....
But if all the dev´s would like to get the money, then when they make some kind of progress they are proberbly less likely to share that with other dev´s ??
I don´t know how we can set up a better dev-payment-system, but i think the way it works actually slow down progress instead of speeding things up...
To be quite honest i rather a cracked bootloader

I'm waiting for a cracked bootloader. After that it will be clear if we might get MT and FM Radio. No donations of mine before this.

+1 just buy them a beer or two for the time they already spent with this ***** called rachael. This'll motivate them to continue.
Btw. i don't think that they're all on that just because of the money, it's probably more for the success itself to crack one of the best locked down devices out there.

Jumped ship

I'm sorry guys I jumped ship. I wanted to like my atrix so much! Literally the only problem I had, seriously the only problem was the people couldn't understand me when I talked to them. It was a great phone but I'm starting to like my phone more.

Im thinking of leaving the inspire for the atrix

Well I would assume working on your speaking or getting a less defective Atrix would work just as well. Not like anyone else has a probably with the voice quality...
I had the same problem. I turned off the noise cancellation feature and that fixed it. The noise cancellation feature sounds like it has a gate with a threshold that's too high so it cuts off the beginning and end of words.

Yea I got the inspire sorry for not being specific. Well I talked to the guy at best buy and he looked at me like I just wanted a new phone. But I'm pretty sure I know how to hold a phone and even when my phone was two inches away from my mouth when I was on speaker and people are still complaining I don't think that it's the position I'm holding it. It's not user error and now all of the sudden after I got the inspire people have been commenting on how they can hear me for the first time since I got my atrix. They didn't know I got a new phone. I'm not trying to say the atrix was a bad device it just didn't suit my needs as well as I liked. And I didn't know how I was going to be able to prove that my atrix had bad call quality to the best buy guy since it's a qualitative example.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
you probably coulda called him and walked across the store to show that your mic was bad, nobody has any problems understanding me whatsoever.
I've had complaints on my phone as well... they say it sounds muffled basically. I'll see if things get better with noise cancellation off. That's one of the few complaints I've had about the phone actually. I never really had much concern over call quality, but it's been mentioned enough times that I think it's a reasonable issue.

If you didn't think you could convince the BB guy with a phone call and then you state that the Atrix didn't suit your needs, it tells me that you really did just want a new phone. If you didn't like the device just be honest about it. If you liked the device you would have exchanged it for a different Atrix as defective.
My phone sounded muffled on the first day of owning it. Now I have no complaints, not sure if it was a setting or what.
I had the same issues with speakerphone, but after I turned off noise cancellation everything was better.

Actually a lot of people have issues with the voice quality. I've gone through 3 atrixes and still have the same issue, even the employees at the ATT store notice it. Motorola said they were working on it and some people have had some luck exchanging the phone, others have not been so lucky. The issue is only with the mic in the phone, if you use bluetooth then voice quality is crystal clear.
Bell atrix here..
On Fido. SOUNDING CRYSTAL CLEAR

Paranoid

I know you all are gonna hate me for starting another thread about gs4 "problems" so far I've had almost nothing related to others besides some small lag that hasn't bothered me much. I've been paranoid looking my phone over up and down for any problems before my 14 day period is up. The only real problem I've had is call quality.. I've had 2 dropped calls in a week and a ton of "what can you repeat that" " I can't hear you" in both speaker mode and normal talking. I'm guessing this is just AT&T so I'm not too concerned. Could someone give me a decent list off problems to check off from to be sure my phone is solid and I have no need to exchange it. Thanks and I'm reading for the flaming incoming. I have been reading these forums everyday since release so don't think I'm just coming in here blind to be lazy. Just wanna make sure my 600+ investment is gonna be worth my money after the 12th day

My very good experience with HTC customer care in Europe

Hey guys,
About 3 months ago I purchased an HTC One as I admired the level of craftsmanship put into the device. Unfortunately, the first device came with a minor protrusion of the screen at the top right corner. Because that point is exactly where a right handed person touches the phone to access the notification bar. I tried to return the phone but unfortunately my provider would not take it back and give me another, as it had been a little over 14 days since I had purchased it.
I went ahead and contacted htc customer care, who went out of their way to make an RMA for me and took care of the replacement process. I was very grateful, but unfortunately the second phone that arrived had also a cosmetic fault, a discoloration of the back of the phone that was apparent under mild light conditions.
Again I contacted HTC who replaced the second phone as well without causing me any further trouble. The next phone that arrived turned out to be fine. As originally disappointed as I was by the relatively poor manufacturing control of the early HTC one phones, the customer care of HTC completely won me over with their supportive stance and I felt it's worth writing a few words about. The morals of the story are, firstly that you shouldn't accept a device you're not happy with (especially at this price range!), but also that it's not just the product at hand, but the after sales care that matters too.

I find this quite incredible, given my, still ongoing experience of HTC UK. What a difference. Checkout my UK experience.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425001
I must re-iterate that I WAS a HTC fan, and have had excellent service from HTC UK previously when I owned a desire, but my recent experience is appalling. Being a fan I wanted the HTC One. I also previously authored threads detailing how great HTC repair were when I had problems with my desire.
I am somewhat relieved that there is good service elsewhere. I have exchanged tweets with HTC senior execs with regards my HTC experience and have a personal commitment to action it (no news yet). I'll tweet this thread to him also. Take a look at the pics of my "repaired" device delivered yesterday from uk repair. Thanks for the thread. I was sure that this was a UK specific problem, and it appears it is.

I totally agree you should fight but its inappropriate to fight at every single xda thread as its not htc official forum. He should probably lodge a consumer complaint if they he not satisfied. He must blog about it but thats not a way to go in everywhere and say its happening like this. And i paid full 43000INR thats 720$. That too i didnt get money from dad it was my 2years savings from pocket money. Flaming every thread will not offer you solution to your problem.

The One X had a major design flaw, though only apperant after prolonged usage and only with people with fitting jeans but in all honesty the crap people are giving for these minor gaps/misaligments is just absurd, no other phone is looked at under such aesthetic scrutiny and almost no one would notice unloess you visited a forum like XDA
If you bought a One you must like HTC in some way but then to demand like an x number of exchanges until the gaps are truely microscopic will drive the company which makes the phones you like to bankrupcy...

why make a phone and market it with its flawless desing then ?? just make a simple good smart phone like Samsung ... i don't buy HTC for the looks .. i buy it for the sense ... but don't go market a phone based on its amazing looks ... then u get surprises like these .. kind of like lying !! which is not cool !
