"Diamond" Digital Clock Install Program?

It seems they are just little number files but they won''t overwrite the existing files that are in the Windows directory.
Anyway I really like the look and wonder if there is a CAB type file that will install and voila, you have the Diamond look digital clock?
Anybody know of such a program?
Or a really simple set of instructions.
I followed the instructions and I can't get it to work.
Or how about a way to get the "Diamond" Digital Clock in to S2U2?

I was actually looking for quite some time and found a diamond digital clock cab. It was here in XDA but I cant find the thread I found it in (It was in the main hacking and development thread)
I'll just repost the cab file and hope I dont get reemed out. I take NO credit for makng this file what so ever.
I had tried installing it before on my vogue and it wasnt working then I upgraded my rom to 6.1 and figured Id give it a shot and it worked. I dont know if that had anything to do with it. it SHOULD still work in WM6 I just wasnt able to get it to work for some reason.
I think you have to disable HTC home as well too before you install the cab.

When I try to install on 6.1 it says "Installation unsuccessful". Any thoughts?
...Nevermind. For some reason it was copying itself when I put it on the sd card and one of the files was broken.

when you have it running is the clock in h:mm:ss tt format (ie 8:04 pm) or is it in hh:mm:ss tt (08:04 pm) I cant for the life of me get the zero infront of the single digit time (anywhere from 1-9 am or pm). just really erking me thats all. I had only installed this myself last night when I saw this thread asking for it so sort of a coincidence.
Anyway.. yeah let me know how your clock works and if you had to do something to fix it. I went into the regional settings and what not and changed the time format but still didnt change anything even after a reset.

For anyone who's installed the cab I posted and had the same issues I had (the 0 infront of the time (08:43 pm) then heres a quick fix I found in the hacking/development thread in the main forum.
Just copy the file in the zip file to your new HTC Home folder on your phone. Should be /HTCHome, sp right in the phones main directory alone with my documents and program files etc. If when you copy it over to replace the exsiting HH_Home_off. png in the folder it wont work go and disable the HTC Home plugin then copy it. That worked for me. Now I finally have a normal looking clock without always having to have 4 numbers showing.

I just installed and my text messages dont work. any idea?

Since I installed this I can only select Bakersfield for my weather.
Anyone know a workaround?

diamond clock
So does anyone know of a diamond clock that actually flips like the real diamond clock?? All the skins for HTC HC are great but i would love to find something closer to the real deal.

Actually it doesn't lag anymore, but my weather is ONLY Bakersfield.

I had this same issue... What I had to do was uninstall it.. use the normal HTC home and reselect my city then reload on this updated version. Aparently all you have to do is add the XML of your city somewhere in the registy... I have no idea how so if anyone knows how feel free to let us know.
Since I did the steps above I havnt gone in to "Change city" anymore and it updates my city fine

I uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked as you said it did. However, when I changed it from Fahrenheit to Celcius thats when it updated to Bakersfield.
I can sort of understand Fahr, but Celcius would be much nicer. I think the benefit outweighs the cost so i'll use canada + fahr . Unless you know how to fix this.

Hey guys. I've been working on this skin for rltoday and i think it's finally ready to see the light of day. It is meant to be a full replacement for the today screen for device with 240x320 resolution. The skin features 9 configurable buttons. Also has a configuration script.
The buttons are numbered from left to right so row 1 has 1-3 row 2 4-6 and row 3 7-9 the configuration is in the buttom right hand corner and can be used to initially setup the buttons or for modifying them after initial setup. The buttons can also be setup simply by pressing on the button you wish to setup.
The SMS Count lonks to the messangin app and the calls links to the call history. The clock is also linked to the windoes clock&Alarms. I'm working on a weather page for this skin as well but it might be a little while.
For the moment you will need to copy the font file(MLTWNII.ttf) from the rltoday folder to the windows\font folder.
i tired making a cab but the font seemed to get applied to other areas of windows so i'm going with the manual route for now.
So extract the folder in this zip to your rltoday folder and change the skin to matrix.
NOTE:SD version taken down as it turns out(should have looked into it) rltoday can't run from sdcard sorry if i caused anyone any confusion was just covering all bases. thanx to brunoisa10 for helping me realize this fact.
UPDATE
Weather page now added. it uses yahoo weather feeds so go to http://weather.yahoo.com/ and find your city
ex: mine is at http://weather.yahoo.com/Moncton-Canada/CAXX0297 so my weather code would be CAXX0297.
it will ask for this code when you update for the first time. it will also ask if you want C or F as your temp reading and creat a link to the yahoo weather page that can be accessed by tapping on the icon for today's forcast. I have been using it and perfecting the positioning for a few weeks now. all should be perfect. a few icons still need resized they will follow soon. for anyone updating just replace your existing matrix folder with the one in the new archive. then reload the rltoday skin by long tapping a empty spot of today screen.

I don't mind at all, I enjoy helping!!

so many views yet so little downloads/feedback...oh well.....work on weather page progressing...going to so some major testing tonight...might be up over the weekend if all goes well...(probably not since i have no graphics for it yet but sooner than i originally thought) would anyone using this be so kind as to leave some sort of feedback...good or bad.

just another quick update in case anyone is actually using/interested in this skin. finally got got the code for the weather page to do what i wanted it to do...just missing graphical part and a little more testing....should have new version soon(couple of weeks life permitting)

while playing around last night i discovered a few issues...expect a new version up over the weekend for sure...even if i can't included weather page yet to fix these bugs(mainly if mortscript is not installed and if you don't use the matrix font)

just a little question : you've posted one zip for rlToday on SD Card , what is your version of rlToday ?
I thought we couldn't install rlToday on SD , it is a marvellous news for me , because I have many xml and graphics and mortscripts ready to work and I had removed rlToday just because of the place on memory

well then....i actually just assumed it could be installed on sd....never tried it just wanted to cover all bases...now i see that it can't be installed on sd so i will have to take down the sdcard link...sorry about this guys i don't ever install any apps to sd but like i said wanted to cover all bases incase it could be installed theire....

TF3D/Manilla Advice

I'm Kinda new to the forum and have only recently tried to add new apps and stuff to my X1.
There is a lot of information here about various versions of TF3D/Manilla and if I'm honest there is a little too much and I'm a bit lost amongst it all.
I should state that I have successfully installed a version of TF3D from here:

but have since removed it due to 1 or 2 issues (worst of which was really slow performance when looking at the photo albumn and not being able to see photos taken with the camera on the pictures tab). So I thought I'd ask for some advice before re-trying.
Question 1.
Which is the best version to install from a stability/features included point of view. Also I am not confident with burning a new ROM so would prefer just a .cab instrall.
Question 2.
For the install recomended is there a way to have it as a seperate panel rather than a today screen replacement. Are there any drawbacks to installing as a panel?
Question 3.
Are there any issues when switched to lanscape mode? (there was on the version I used) if so which modification would be compatable with the one recomended.
Finally if there are any other recomendations you have, for example, further modifications to make the TF3D experience more pleasurable, should I not worry about rom flashing and are there any alternatives to TF3D which could give me the polished interface i am looking for.

Thanks but that leads me to one of the things i was confusedf about.
In the TF3D in Landscape mode thread it is stated that support for the app has been discontinued due to the release and porting of Manilla 2. So should I be using that? if so where can I get it?

Try Daran_Clarke's TF3D 2 (Beta 3). It's taken from the new HTC Touch Pro 2. It includes the official HTC landscape view which works very well. You can install the CAB from here...

Some advice though. The Right Softkey function gets changed when you install this so the function is to take you to the Today screen, rather than the option above it on the screen (such as Contacts or Menu etc). You can change the Button settings but whenever you restart the machine, this gets reverted back, so that it takes you to the Today screen.
Himuraken was kind enough to point me in the direction of a .dll file which corrects this problem. It's called ManilaToday.dll. There will already be a file named this in the Windows directory on your phone, which you will need to delete. You can't delete this from your PC using ActiveSync. You need to use the FileExplorer on your X1 and browse to the Windows directory. Once there, select 'Menu' then 'Show All Files'. It may take a minute or so to display anything because there are so many files there. Delete ManilaToday.dll and then use ActiveSync to copy the new one across to that same location (Windows directory). You might need to set the Right Softkey button function to Right Softkey, but then when you restart it will keep this setting. You can get the new ManilaToday.dll from here...

Now just if someone could make a Panel for this new TF3D 2! May be awkward tho, as I think there is a new Panel Manager with the new R3AA roms. The Panels designed for that don't work on R2 roms, such as the Growing Panel. So we need someone to make a Panel for this on both the new and old Panel manager! Doubt it'll happen though, and I doubt I'll have the R3AA rom for quite some time. O2 in the UK took literally about 5 months to release the R2 rom!

I had i little bit of success with the original Touch-it install now though. I istalled the version 2 of the album app which seems to work much quicker that what is packaged in the Full CAB.
I still have 1 issue tho i wonder if anyone can help?
I want to be able to see all my pictures on the Photos and Videos tab without having to use album app. Currently only images in the my pictures tab display, I'd like to see images that have been taken with the camera whether they are stored in mypicture/camera/100xperia or on the memory card /dcim/100xperia/.
Is there anyway to change this?

Nevermind I sorted it now. Everything is working nice.
Now if only the lanscape app would work properly it would be perfect. Maybe a move to the install Sonny suggested will give me everything I'm after

That's provided you're using Beta 2 or earlier of the TF3D cab.

Better light sensor control [WM 6.x]

Hi guys,
I'm writing this to spare your time searching for the solution, because I found no info on the subject in this section. I wanted to improve the light sensor behavior, as the built-in control is just a simple on/off switch with no customization options. Tried to use G-Light, however, with no success. It seemed G-Light can't recognise the sensor. So I tried Lumos instead, with more or less the same result (the error message gave me a lot more info about the problem). I did some research and found out a solution. To make Iolite's light sensor available to external apps you need to have Diamond's sensor SDK libraries with some registry entries.
After a bit of google work I've got this:

Install the cab (and one of control apps) and you can set the light sensor to fit all your needs.

Screen Rotation

Hello all. I have always wondered why i was not able to rotate the screeen more for apps other than opera. Why did i need to slide open the keyboard to get landscape mode? Well in searching i found this app in T-mobile touch pro 2 forum. the discovery was made by McBrian. Unfortunately i am not too sure who wrote the app. For this i apologize. I have used xda extensively and thought that this would be a good little app to post...to give back to the community. so here it is....Once u install the the cab, go to Programs and start the application and change the default settings to suit ur preference. I take no responsibilty for what happens to ur phone

I'm wondering...if I don't like it, can I just remove the program?

If you want to uninstall it, all you have to do is go to Start>Settings>System>Remove Programs and select Changescreen before pressing "Remove".

Anyway, I just downloaded the program and I was having a little trouble with excluding and including stuff...
I have no idea what's going on, but I think I got it to work. It's pretty slow though...

On the 1st tab I have Enabled, Run on Startup, and the first two directions in the next row checked. On the second tab, I deleted "manila" from the list and nothing is checked. On the third tab, nothing is checked.
As for the slowness, however, there's no way I know to speed it up. It's a shame, as it does take quite a while to rotate.

Ahh...that's the problem...
I remember reading something you wrote that said exclude Manila...but I couldn't find it.
On the second tab (Exceptions), I have nothing there.
I simply have a bottom at the top that says "ADD". If I click add, it brings a blank slate and I can type stuff on there...it's weird.

so whats the difference between this cab, abd the g sensor cab that once installed allows all of the manila TF3D stuff to rotate using the phones g sensor,then any new app you add just use g sensor app to make them rotate,theres no lagg with either of these

g config works with any pro 2 you jus st launch it then launch the app you want to rotate then insert the stylus and it adds that app to the ratation settings,
as for the g sensor cab im not ure give it a try, if it works then calender etc and everything else on TF3d should rotate without having to open the keyboard , if it doesnot work just remove the cab file

from what i understand, and correct me if im wrong, but these programs will make ur battery drain significantly...the reason being is bc it "pools" the accelerometer alot more often than normal...again, correct me if im wrong but i believe this is true
