having problem with bt gps

hi, i bought the atom exec a week ago. i recently installed the tomtom 6.02. however i can't get the bt gps to work with the application. it appears "No GPS Device!" on the screen. also i'm using i.Trek M1 bt gps. please help!!

some minor bug in OS
you need to turn on the gsm part of the pda before TT will see your gps

you have to setup the gps and bluetooth in the setting first

HP 6955 Tomtom GPS setup (help)

Hey guys im fairly new to this forum.
Reason Im here is to ask for some help on seting up my gps tomtom for my ipaq 6955. Seems to me some of the people I been reading about theyrs seems to be a reg edit hack step in order to get a gps signal due to com port conflicts.
Does anyone here have a step by step instruction on how to properly get the tomtom working properly? I really dont want to edit the reg and screw up my ipaq, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

HP6955 Tom Tom GPS Setup
I have a UK 6910 with Tom Tom 6 installed. The GPS port settings are Com 7 at 57600 baud. I have had no problems with any of the GPS software using these settings (IGO 2006, Destinator 6, Co-Pilot 6, VisualGPSce & Memory Map 5)

I'm also having the same trouble. I've recently upgraded from TT5 to TT7.450 (9028) but it can't see the internal GPS device. I've checked the registry - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/TomTom/GPSSettings and all is as previously mentioned. I've changed the 'ComPortNumber' to various other values and even 'Force' to 1 (not really sure what that did?!)
Any ideas?

I have I-mate Ultimate 9502 and the gps works fine with TomTom. Just do the following if u have TomTom:-
1- Activate the GPS from the Connection Manager.
2- Still in the Connection Manager go to menu/GPS Setting
3- In the program tab set the GPS port to 9.
4- In the hardware tab leave the port (NONE) and the Baud rate to 4800 "i.e The Defult setting".
5- In the Access tab check ManageGPS Automatically.
6- Run TomTom and go to GPS prefernce.
7- Select "Another Blue tooth devices" option.
8- Wait and here you are it works lol

The imate Ultimate 9502 differs from all other devices I have owned is that the GPS needs to be "activated". Go to Wireless Manager, there you will see a button to activate GPS.
My device has already been defaulted to using the com port 9. Follow the advice in the post earlier if that's not the case in your device. I am using MapKing 2007 which runs well (not the MapKing G10). I found that its antenna seems stronger than my TyTN II/Kaiser.
My question: I need at least 5 minutes to get the first initial fix. Is there any way to make this faster?

what is your rom version? wm6 or wm6.1? the GPS activation is different between the two rom versions

GPS in Vista and sattelite connection

Hi!
I have installed and configured the Franson GPS gate program on both Vista and WM side.
It connects, and it shows me that GPS data is coming in but it doesn't give me a fix on my position. When viewing the GPS tool program on WM side after a long while it manages to connect to one sattelite.
I have a Xperia which gives me a fix on my location almost instantly.
Does anyone know how to get the GPS to connect to the sattelites?
I was wondering if installing the quick GPS cab which is shipped with a lot of new devices.

Enabeling trinity gps error

when i try to enable the gps on my p3600, using the software that is included when i bought the p3600 it says "device connect isnt htc p3600" and it is.
any ideas?

what software is giving the problem, and do you have a GPS settings icon in 'settings' ?
