Ok, as with every touchscreen phone I have owned(all being android) I from time to time add a wrong or stupid word. Is it just me or does the Vibrant does not have the option anywhere to remove annoying words from popping up in suggestions? Maybe its just me, but seeing retarded words popping up all the time really grinds my gears...

Are you using Swype? If so, type the wrong word, highlight it, then press the Swype button.

I quit using swype once I realized that it takes the cpu to process the words and impacts on battery life if you text a lot. I am using the stock android keyboard, prior to using the stock keyboard I was using swiftkey(which I believe the entry came from).

When I noticed it, I was using the swype beta on my nexus one. I frequently checked the battery usage at the end of the day and it was the first keyboard I noticed that showed up under battery usage. It wasnt nothing crazy only like 5% of a days worth with the screen brightness on 70% and running 3G all day.

Hello
Since I have upgraded my Rom to the Molski, my keyboard light doesn't light up when I slide the keyboard.
Do you know why and what should I do ?
Thank you
The Wizard's keyboard has never lit up when the keyboard is slid open. Never, no matter what rom you were using. Probably just never noticed.
I have the same problem. Please help!
Thanks !
There is no help to give... NOTHING can be done about it.
My buddy has an 8525 and the fixed the annoying keyboard lighting issue on the 8525... I'm jealous of his keyboard lights.

The keys don't light up until you press one of them.

thats correct, the 8125/wizard keys DO NOT light simply by sliding out the keyboard, you have to press a key.. the 8525/hermes has a light sensor

well depends anyway... the 8525 has horrible battery life while in 3G (well for me cause i am always using constant data and 3G kills the battery im talking needing charged within 10 hours fast) but while in edge only my battery life is as good as it was on the 8125
I can type on my 8125 without looking.

i unfortunately havent mastered that yet... if i still had a regular dumb phone i could do that no problem.. but my 1 handed texting and driving days are over since i got the wizard... also if anyone switches to the 8525/hermes i will warn you now, the function keys on the keyboard are completly different from the wizard.. especially the number keys are no longer across the top row...

Just want to give thanks for this rom to whomever put it together. Master? Not sure I'm not to involved with the roms usually. But my Vibrant is an entirely different phone now. Seems to be using the hardware now to its potential. I can't get over how smooth the phone is. No more hitching or lag when you scroll around the screens. My programs all work better now. Stitcher Radio now loads up quicker. Doesn't reset or stop on its own. One little thing is that the orientation seems to be off. When I tilt the phone horizontally for example the image doesn't change over. Regardless, this is a small thing compared to the overall improvement of the device. I'm a newbie to flashing roms but now can't wait for the next one!

@azure100. Last night I went to plug in the phone for charging before going to bed. About 10pm. The phone read 71% battery. Kinda shook my head in disbelief. Especially since I get up at 5am! I didn't have my phone on a charger all day but I did have it USB'd to my laptop for a total of about 30mins moving some files and playing around. I'm sure it picked up some charge there? Still, it seemed like a lot of battery life left for that time of day. Usually I make it until about 8pm before the phone is fully out of juice. I'll keep a eye on it today. I won't hook it up to any charger or pc and report back.
Ok so I got three hours before it changed from 100 percent. Battery on this Rom is really good

I wake up at 6 a.m. and battery will last me until around 11 p.m. That is the longest I have let it run without recharging. Normal use. Ill have about 25-30% bat level at that time. I think this is pretty awesome. What I mean by normal use is I am making a phone calls and just checking email. No connecting to wifi etc.. Obviously there will be more battery drain then.
Charging seems to take a while. Even from the wall it just feels to charge slow. But not snail pace or anything. The battery is def lasting longer than before I flashed it.
I've been going back and forth between Axura2.2.5.9 and NeroV3 lol. To me, these ROM are both awesome. It really comes down to customization preferences and how each specific ROM reacts to your individual Vibrant. For my Vibrant, the battery is a little bit better on NeroV3. GPS is somewhat comparable. As a matter of fact, I've been manually customizing my Vibrant by taking bits and pieces of what I like from the Axura ROM and incorporating onto my NeroV3 core.
BTW: Is it just me or others simply do not care?????? In Axura2.2.5.9, the audible tone is not working on the dial pad even when the option is enabled in settings.

Ok. Two days ago I put a newly charged battery in at 3pm. It didn't fully die until after 10pm last night! So over 31 hours on one charge. Granted, Ive been sick so the phone hasn't been used as much. Phone calls. Email but no games, gps or anything like that. WiFi, Bluetooth on. Still, even with light use, the most I was getting is 15 hours thats it. So this rom looks real good for battery
Also want to throw a quick thanks out. I have really started enjoying this phone more than struggling with it. I might even hang onto it for a bit.

Have you tried Set CPU? With Axura and some custom underclocking profiles from set cpu along with managing my wifi/data via toggles on my homescreen, I am gettting really good battery life
I have been on Axura for over a week now and im consistently averaging 13/14 hours on a full battery charge with.moderate use. My current charge is in its 23 rd hour.
Im reluctant to flash any other rom coz I like this one so much but I still want to flash lol

I bought the epic primarily because of the physical keyboard, but after owning it since release I am realizing the physical keyboard takes a pretty good hit on the battery.
Now I'm not sure if this is a backlight issue or that the keyboard when slid out is doing something else in the background to cause some more cpu usage.
My observations. I use the phone very heavily when plugged in and charging when I'm at work. I treat it almost as a mini laptop and always on it. Many times I can sit there using it for a half hour straight and never see the battery go up a single percentage. Display is set to auto and power saving is on and always on 4G with the keyboard timeout on 3 seconds.
Recently I started to try and change my habits and start using the phone vertically and getting really used to swype and even during the heaviest of use I notice my battery actually charging and going up in percentage at a rather acceptable rate now.
So anyone have similar experiences and trends? Is it the backlight or something else going on? I don't mind swype but I would much rather be using the physical keyboard just without having the phone constantly charging.

I don't know to much about the physical keyboard as I don't use it good much but if u want yo save more battery take the brightness off auto.

The way the keyboard is made, the CPU is constantly checking for updates on which key is pressed on the keyboard. It was made this way to be cheapest for Samsung.
Unfortunately, it has the side-effect of draining the battery while the keyboard is deployed. The battery drain speeds up as you adjust the timings not skip when you type. I usually just deploy, type what I need, and close. The next phone I get will likely not have a keyboard, and if it does, not Samsung Epic 4G battery-drainer style. I cannot recall the name, sorry.

But only when keys are actively pressed down, i.e., when one is typing.
I'm not sure to what extent that translates into noticably decreased battery life, I suppose it could. It would be worth testing battery consumption with the hardware keyboard extended but not used, versus consumption with the hardware keyboard hidden.

Obviously, the more you use your phone the warmer it gets. I've actually had my phone cut off on me because it got too hot. Are you using the wall charger or is it hooked up to your PC? on DI18, I was able to stream to bluetooth A2DP with Pandora and still charge the battery. On EC05, if I use the phone at all then it gets warm it will actually start draining the battery in the same situation. I have auto brightness of and GPS off. I have it hooked up to my PC (in both cases).
If coming from op1 or any other flagship device?
SO far, none. The OPO was the best phone I ever owned. I just got the OPT and after 24 hours it has amazed me. Some glitches here and there but nothing a software OTA cannot fix.
None. Certainly not with all the development going on here already. I'll enjoy the heck out of my phone.
My gripes since I had to buy on swappa.com, as I ordered on 9/1 and still don't have the actual phone.
1) Exchange only through Gmail. Poor implementation.
2) Can't see battery as percentage. Prefer time in middle on top.
3) slider notification should be reversed
4) no stock Gallery app (only accessible through photo app)
The phone is beautiful but let's be honest here, it is a buggy mess!

Well to be honest, point 1 & 2 are the same for stock Android. What do you mean with 3 exactly?
And actually, you can change the battery as percentage. Head to Settings > Battery and tap the battery icon next to the menu icon. It gives you inter alia an option to show percentage.
#3 would be the physical notifications slider on the left.
Thanks for the battery percentage heads up.

In my opinion the placement is perfect, also for the other buttons. That's personal preference of course. You're welcome by the way.
My stock messaging app doesn't consolidate my conversations properly. It creates to separate threads for one conversation, it shows one thread for what I text and a separate thread for my friend's responses??? Does anyone know how to fix this so the "back and forth" is in one thread?
Currently the OPT has a big failure that may force me to sell it. My contacts are only synced with 'mobile' to my car radio. So I am forced to choose of 6 'mobile' numbers from a list of only ONE mobile number of my wife. Not really a big bug but a total fail for me because I daily call my wife from the car while driving home. This is the one feature that really has to work but it does not.
With the ONE all works as you could expect. The Parrot Asterroid syncs without a fail and offers me the numbers correctly tagged with 'mobile', 'work', 'home' and so on. The TWO fails on this. So not really my phone atm.
no regrets. just little bugs that need to be addressed. fingerprint scanner works perfect for me also

I agree. I've reset my fingerprints to the way I hold the phone usually. It's still hit or miss. If i've just been using the phone, it works. If I leave the phone to sit for some time, i need to use the power button to wake it, then the sensor works.

For e, battery is a big disappointment so far. I hope with custom ROMs and kernels battery life should improve. Other than that, pretty much satisfied. However, does not feel like much of an upgrade over the one.
Battery is a big one for me as well, but I know future releases will solve that. The other thing would be heat. In 10mins of having the screen on, it jumps from ~26 degrees (where it idles) to ~40 degrees.
I'm surprised about the battery complaints. It's been really good for me. I can easily get 5-6 hours sot. Today I'm at 1hr 18mins sot with 78% battery left and exactly 14 hours since I unplugged it from the charger. Maybe I'm just lucky

Only complaint is contact sharing with my car bluetooth makes the car system crashes......
Ever since day one my keyboard lags a bit when I'm charging and typing at the same time. Just enough for it to miss a letter every now and then and just generally annoy you.
I'm currently running Paul pizz rom and multi system kernel, but it did it when totally stock too.
Does anyone else's do this?

I had this issue with my note 3. Turns out I was using a knock off charger. Got a legit OEM and it took care of it. You could see when looked at either one in the galaxy charging app that the fake one was using less current. Drove me crazy until I figured it out
