Hello
Since I have upgraded my Rom to the Molski, my keyboard light doesn't light up when I slide the keyboard.
Do you know why and what should I do ?
Thank you
The Wizard's keyboard has never lit up when the keyboard is slid open. Never, no matter what rom you were using. Probably just never noticed.
I have the same problem. Please help!
Thanks !
There is no help to give... NOTHING can be done about it.
My buddy has an 8525 and the fixed the annoying keyboard lighting issue on the 8525... I'm jealous of his keyboard lights.

The keys don't light up until you press one of them.

thats correct, the 8125/wizard keys DO NOT light simply by sliding out the keyboard, you have to press a key.. the 8525/hermes has a light sensor

A light sensor crud I wish the MDA had one of those the fact that it doesn't light up when you pull it out is one of the things that bothers me.

well depends anyway... the 8525 has horrible battery life while in 3G (well for me cause i am always using constant data and 3G kills the battery im talking needing charged within 10 hours fast) but while in edge only my battery life is as good as it was on the 8125
I can type on my 8125 without looking.

i unfortunately havent mastered that yet... if i still had a regular dumb phone i could do that no problem.. but my 1 handed texting and driving days are over since i got the wizard... also if anyone switches to the 8525/hermes i will warn you now, the function keys on the keyboard are completly different from the wizard.. especially the number keys are no longer across the top row...

Well I know I can't do that maybe one day but the truth of the matter is I don't use the keyboard very much.
shogunmark...I would take the bad battery life for 3G speeds TMo is always a step behind.

Oh I so want this and just can't wait until TMo finally rolls out some kind of high speed data. Yeah the ability to use data and talk at the same kind sounds like all I need. Well at least until the next best thing comes out.

Ok, as with every touchscreen phone I have owned(all being android) I from time to time add a wrong or stupid word. Is it just me or does the Vibrant does not have the option anywhere to remove annoying words from popping up in suggestions? Maybe its just me, but seeing retarded words popping up all the time really grinds my gears...

Are you using Swype? If so, type the wrong word, highlight it, then press the Swype button.

I quit using swype once I realized that it takes the cpu to process the words and impacts on battery life if you text a lot. I am using the stock android keyboard, prior to using the stock keyboard I was using swiftkey(which I believe the entry came from).

Please post your evidence that Swype takes a considerable amount of battery life away.

When I noticed it, I was using the swype beta on my nexus one. I frequently checked the battery usage at the end of the day and it was the first keyboard I noticed that showed up under battery usage. It wasnt nothing crazy only like 5% of a days worth with the screen brightness on 70% and running 3G all day.
LOVE the phone btw.. and T-Mobile? i was worried it would suck... but wow it's better then ATT's 3G.. i get 12 Mb's down and 2 up where i live! that's NOT BAD considering where i live!
ok on to the purpose...
i left my phone out last night b/c i wanted to see how it "drained" being idle over night.. it didn't at all! except.. the one thing i noticed was the LED indicator was a SOLID light b/c i had notificatons waiting... i mean.. is there any way to more powerfully configure this? like maybe only have it blink for 30 minutes then STOP.. i feel like the light will DIE over time if i have more nights like that? is it possible for the light to eventually die?
---Other thoughts
Everything about the phone i love.. except maybe the home button, not sure how i feel about it being a clicky button.. but that's just an early thought
I used to use light flow all the time for that on the galaxy nexus should work on this too

No, not in any reasonable time frame. Conservatively, I'd say you can expect the light will last twenty years.
I used to have 4-5h screen time but recently i noticed that i can barely reach 3. I havent change anything. Ang sugesstions? Thanks in advance.

Yes i know but before i was still able to get longer screen time even while using browser all the time. I also noticed it drains much more battery while it is locked.

Try using this app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
It's very detailed.
Check if your phone goes into deep sleep.
I agree with above poster and if you been around xda enough you know there is a laundry list of stuff to try and no one can tell you why your battery life got worst. But there are apps that can help you and worst comes to worst just factory reset and start over.
1 thing that really REALLY grinds my gear is when it his 15%, the flash is disabled. there are times i need the flaslight to navigate around and it pisses me off. I hate phones that try to act 2 smart. 2nd this phone under heavy load (GPS navigation) is TERRIBLE. 2 hourish using GPS navigation and it went from 90 to 20% just like that. Stand by and light usage is it is good. But that should be expected. Anyone know how to work the flash below 15%? It REALLY REALLLY pisses me off

Besides there's already threads out there that has these discussions in them, whether it's in the build quality or in the "one with week with the m8, my thoughts" thread...
It should be a way to disable the led when you are on bad battery, it's really annoying to use the phone in a dark room.
Sorry guys , but this thread is pointless and will only end in a troll fest.
that's why I close this now.

I figured I'd get the party started and hopefully I'm not the only one in the room. I was #2 today at the 5th Ave store to pick it up, most of the people waiting in line were bloggers who just took pictures and left.
Here are a bunch of pictures I've taken to try to help get a better idea of what the watch looks like. I'm currently on the road for work but I'll be able to answer more questions and maybe do an APK pull for y'all.

Great pictures.. Awesome watch.. Can i use your pictures in one article i am writing at my site? Off course mentioning they are yours?

$1500 ?!?!?!
I picked one up in Tokyo a couple of days ago. So far I'm not massively impressed.
It looks amazing and is really responsive but the battery is pants. I think I got 7 hours yesterday and that was with minimal use.
I'm hoping it settles down once I've had it a while.
How's everybody else's battery life?

Actually I take that back. After disabled WiFi it seems to be loads better. I've managed 10am till 11pm with 32% left, so not as bad as I first thought x

Excellent. I've not had any issues at all and i'm travelling around a very sunny Japan at the moment.
I know reviews have been negative toward resolution but I can't see anything wrong at all. Looks nice and clear to me.

My battery life has been 12 hours maximum for the 4 days I've had it. Is turning off wifi what you think does the trick?

I found switching WiFi off helped loads. If your watch has a connection to your phone it can use the Internet from there. So it makes the WiFi redundant and just draining battery looking for a connection. I'll only switch WiFi back on if I ever forget my phone.
Also I had the brightness set to 1. Even in bright light it's never been a problem.
hey, would you please tell me what does it say under Settings->about->model?
a picture would be ideal, but don't forget to hide your serial number if you post it
thank you

Thanks. If that solves the problem, then my only gripe is the size. The watch is quite big for a slender wristed TAG enthusiast like me.
