receiving email on hd2

hi there,
i hope you all guys r enjoying the hd2 to the most.
for me its just the email where i am stuck. i only receive the new mail when i get the phone synced through usb cable with my laptop. it doesnt come to my hd2 instantly. i have done whatever i could do. but i need help at this stage. if any one of you could please tell me the way in easy language.

So are you wanting your email via push to come straight through?? or do you want your email inbox to scan every few hours, ??

start>settings>connections>comm manager>activate the microsoft direct push follow on screen instcutions

any of them will do. push for staright in to my account or scan in every now and then for new mail.

i, ve got yahoo mail.when i go for direct push set up it does ask for domain and server address. but i dont know them actually.

i have mine setup for google and the domain is greyed out and my server is m.google.com so try m.yahoo.com or .co.uk i dont have a yahoo account mate,

i use tmobile i have to untick proxy or my email wont work at all.try untick proxy.not all service providers use proxy i.e o2

guys i have been searching for a way to get push email with yahoo on my hd2 but till now i got nowhere!i get into activesync but iam suck on where i have to write "domain" and "server" details!any help appreciated!

Anyone know why #ModADroid-Galaxy-Tab IRC is invitation only now?

Which Android IRC client do people prefer around here?

AndroIRC seems to work well on my tab.

I like Android IRC, it works well with lots of servers/channels. Also, andchat is very popular but I have problems with it connecting to 1 channel (all the others worked) so I switched.

Thank you. Is there a way so when I use AndroidIRC it saves these settings? If I reboot or turn off the device I would have to re-enter everything again? I believe the server information will save. Just not sure if the # information would.

it saves in yairc

below the server there should be a join channels (or something along those lines) area where you can input the information. If not there is a connect command field where you could just put in /join #ModADroid-Galaxy-Tablet

I was reading a post from microgeek about getting together on 'kik' to talk about G3 or android in general. I decided to take it further. Here you can share your imo , kik, watsapp or any other IM IDs. That way, If you find anything, new like any app, game, trick hack, we can immediately share. Also if people face any problems, doubts, questions, we can discuss it easily. Just a suggestion.

I have never used irc. is it good, does it have andriod app? I just searched mirc, its a paid service..why? whats so special about it?

There are free options like AndChat and AndroIRC.

I've just registered the channel '#g3' on freenode.net. A quick way to get started is to go to http://webchat.freenode.net, enter your XDA username as the nickname (so we can identify you), enter 'g3' in the channel and then (after doing the capcha) press connect. It's similar on AndChat and AndroIRC, although you have to choose your server (the server is irc.freenode.net or freenode.net depending on your client).
I would recommend registering your nick (to avoid impersonation by other members), go here for more details.

I keep getting this message (I am registered and able to identify with nickserv) "#lg-g2 Cannot join channel (+r) - you need to be identified with services"
Any ideas?

I haven't used IRC in years, but you need to register your nickname: /msg nickserv help or /msg nickserv register help
That'll give you more information.

Did you then "identify", aka sign in? After registering, you need to sign in each time you connect to the network. I believe that's /msg nickserv identify <your_password>

Is there a command I would need to put in after it identifies me so I can retry my connection to the server without having to open a new tab?
