Hi, anyone know of a good programme for IRC on the Universal ? I have tried Pocket IRC but cannot get it to connect to the server. Any tips ? I have also tried pocket chat - will not work and prochat by proporta also will not work.
Would be great if any of you guys can point me to a working IRC software and also advise on its setting. Thanks.

It seems like it's not working... I saw Olipro in there, that was the only name I recognized. It seems like no one's talking! Anyone know of a different server name to use with an IRC client that isn't for a web-based script?

you should be able to connect without setting a port as well
Hey guys we have a IRC for people that want to talk/need help right away or help dev. please make ur name what it is here. if you want you can even register it so you never have to worry about other people taking it if ur going to use IRC alot.

the channel is
acer-a500
On your tablet or phone download AndChat
then add a new Server
server: chat.freenode.net
autojoin: #acer-a500
Or look on f-droid(in my sig) free open source software irc client there.
Searched a bit but could not find a dedicated IRC chatroom for our phone.
I made one in the coldfront servers. Tried freenode but #MotoG was already registered to an inactive user.

Sure but IRC is live chat!
Connecting to multiple servers tends to turn me off from channels. #motog may have been taken but was it active? if not you could always contact freenode staff and have em "restart" it, or go with something more like #Moto-Falcon or properly with ##MotoG
