Verify the server name is correct, then try again to send and recieve mail' I cant seem to get it to work, if u know how to fix the problem let me know please.
Michael
it seems you are trying to get your Hotmail account into the Outlook inbox ... this can be done through a s/w called pocketHTTP I think ... or you can read it on IE as a normal web site
HTTPMail Provider
The program is called HTTPMail Provider. It's a good one, too.
Yeah, I can fully agree with that
Thanks for your help, great suggestion

I get a wierd error code 85010001 when im trying to sync. Any one know what that means?
In the error msg it says something like
Your Microsoft Exchange Server account don't got permissions to sync with those settings... .
I think it should be on the exchange server that there is something wrong with the permissions but i don't know what. I can login thru outlook's webmail and all the other things but not sync?
If anyone had it up runnin please explain what could be wrong

No idea... perhaps one of the Exchange experts can offer an opinion ?
Terran
Yeah was talkin to a admin right now. The wierd is that it's working with my uncle's Qtek 8020 to sync but not with mine Qtek 9100.
Is there any different settings you need on the exchange server becuase i got Active Sync 4.1 and he got the old WM2003 and probably a older Active Sync.
The two accounts's we are trying looks exacly the same and got the same permissions.
Can't check up wich versions he got right now becuase the phone is at the service point.
Anyone having any ideas what it could be?
Do i need Outlook installed on my PC?

Mail2Web Live started today new exchange PushEmail for free!

Mail2Web Live is having a beta testing for their new exchange PushEmail for mobile phones account: http://services.mail2web.com/FreeServices/m2wLive/
I tried signing up but in the process it tell me "You're too late"
HAve you managed to sign up? If so how please?
>>>Actualy I managed to sign up using internet explorer. Firefox kept giving me the "You're too late " message.
It seems to work great. Give you Opinions on the services

If you spend too much time on the page filling out the form, you'll get the "too late" phrase. Just fill out the boxes quickly, type in the security card and you're off to the races. Push works flawlessly BTW.
work for me
works great, thanx!
Hi, where is the push email bit? I can only access teh standard web based email service.
Thanks

I can't find the beta push area either. Hmmm...
looked around...
only can see the web-based mail portion...
is the push e-mail a purchased add-on or something?
Since the device has push capability with the AKU 2.0 ROM, there is not a "push" section on the site. It is simply part of Exchange 2003 SP2. If you'll open active sync and hit the add server option, then you just type in mobile.exchange.mail2web.com. Fill in your user name, password and check the secure connection box and you'll be set to sync whatever info you want. Then go to the Comm Manager and push the button with the envelope on it. This is your push function. You'll see the GPRS connection start and any message sent to your account will immediately be pushed to your device.
Is there a way to change the reply-to address using this account? Also, is there any way to forward hotmail to mail2web? Thanks a lot!!!
MJB
I think you have to pay for that through Hotmail or other provider.

Thanks, man. Working great now.
Cheers.
One drawback is that the push only works with data connection (GPRS) but not WIFI.....
I think they have some agreement with the service provider to make people spend more for GPRS.
:?
Cheers,

You can set up e-mail accounts with hotmail (Microsoft Live), yahoo, gmail, etc.
The yahoo account should be set up as an IMAP type account, although you can manually set it up as a POP account.
I would suspect that you are having the Exchange account prompt is that you have selected 'mail' when you ActiveSync your HD2 with your computer. Thus the phone is trying to connect to an exchange server when not connected to your computer.
ok..sounds good so can you give me some steps..where to do what..just the general steps..not for every provider
Much appreciated.
so first open outlook on mobile(or!?)
2. do tjis
3...

So what to do now? to make it possible?
Go to the email tab in Sense and go Menu, Add Account. It gives you plenty of options, or you can just go to "other" and enter pop3/imap information that way.
thnks..will try.

how to change the from address in the built-in mail client

I setup my hotmail account in windows live on my HD2.
Everything is working brilliantly.
I just want to change the from address when i compose or reply to mails.
I want to do this because I forwarded my work e-mail to my hotmail account. This was the easiest way to get push e-mail working.
Is there any way to do this?
I want mails i send out to be from my work address so that when people reply it goes to my work e-mail address.
Thanks for any help.
you should set up the hotmail account manually, rather than logging in via live.that way, at the start of the process when it says "what is your email address" put your works address, but then when you configure the rest just use the hotmail server and login details.

Would I still then have mails pushed to my phone seeing as I did not set it up via live?
i never used push so can't tell you, but all live is doing is filling in those details for you, so i don't see why not?
give it a try, only take ya 10 mins.
