My nike has a problem:
Even if I align it correctly, there's still "an error" of 0.5 cm for the left. This is very annoying I cant press the X button. Also, touchscreen dont work with slide open. Very strange.
I tried different ROMS (even the official one) and different radios, and its really an hardware problem.
Anyone knows if its a screen, flex or other, so I can replace the correct part?

Hi all,
I have my P3600 for only 1 month. The touch screen suddenly has no response without any reasons.
I have tried soft and hard reset but with no luck. Is there any hold button/fuction at the P3600?
Can you guys please help and give your expert advise.

You have notice that the menu start pop up with no reason?
Try to place the trinity in a very cold place and tell me if the touch screen function again.
I find that in a warm place some trinity simulates the press of the upper corner sx pixel, so in this case the touch screen not respond and the menu start pop up frequently.
i have this problem, my trinity open the more start menu and the screen not respose. Only recover this problem is remove the battery and wait more hour.....
I have this problem also, bring back to service centre and they said the LCD might me the cause of the problem, replace it under warrenty.
Could you post the S/N and the radio/rom version of the device with the "start menù" problem?
Unfortunatelly I have this same problem, I have read on the internet that when the trinity gets hot it does this because some parts of it extends and puts pressure on the screen top left corner.
I don't know how to fix it but it is a relief that I am not the only one having this problem. I don't know what the fix is but this problem basically renders the phone useless for me.
If anybody has resolved this issue with HTC please let us know.
I don't think it's a pressure problem on the screen.
I have the same problem also with the phone totally open and the screen free of the upper cover.

It's not a LCD Screen problem because i have replaced LCD screen with a new but it's the same problem.
Perhaps touch screen controller on motherboard or touch screen driver (dll) in the ROM.

If I change the viewing mode sidewards, it is the calendar button that pops up all the time., and opens the calendar again and again. You can not control it anymore. Just X all the time. Seems to be software or ?

I wonder if this screen problem is going to be a time bomb for everyone. I don't think it has anything to do with the new ROMs as it is a hardware problem.
I hope it's not like the peeling thing. One started complaining and ten days later everybody was facing the same problem.

Could you explain for what you want to know serial number? This can help or just for statistics? Maybe then everybody will be glad to do it.
I bought the device on Feb 3rd,
and it started on march 3rd when playing a 'tetris like' game. It always opened the 'new game' button on the bottom left, while playing.
I must say, it does not occur constantly! There are times I use my p3600 and it is completly normal. But then just as from ghosts hand the task that is combined with the button in the 'left top corner' (upright position) starts to be pushed.

Simple:i'm trying to understand if it's a problem of specified p3600,or if it's a problem that occurs randomly in all the p3600!
Ok. Lets collect same statistic but lets do it organized. For example my data.
Rom: 1.15.405.5 (HTC) - official (or modified by somebody)
Radio: 1.20.00.11
s/n: HT645FK08xxx
CID/SIM Unlock: No (or "Yes" if you did it and with which method - IMEI or FreeUnlocker)
Screen Protector: Yes ("Brando" mat for Qtek s110/S200)
Issue: "Start" menu pop up very seldom (seldom,often,very often,constantly) while I use stylus to scroll items of field "Play sound" of "Clock&Alarms" Settings, switch "iLauncher" tabs, play "MasterSoft Sudoku" (I list all places where I find out my issue) and I need to tap to "Start" or other place of the screen to close it.
I do not do CID/SIM Unlock and I do not reflash any ROMs. My current ROM is the ROM that was then I purchase P3600.
Scaphs 4.20 is the 3rd ROM i have tried, and my phone will not align itself!!!!
I tap the target firmly and accurately like it blady tells me at each location 5 times, then the process just repeats itself!!
There is no dust or dirt on my screen.
What's next? Throw this phone against the wall?!

I suddenly have the same problem - no one else? My problem is more specific. Screen alignment seems normal until the 4th (last) corner is reached. Then no response x2. By third try it jumps back to center to start again - no way out!
I have reflashed to TMobile WM5 V2, Love, and several WM6 ROMS - all same issue. I can read my phone fine though active synch - al software is there ...
IS THE DIGITIZER GONE BAD - ? just in one corner? How can I be sure? Any way around the required align screen to test further? PLEASE HELP!

My 8525 could not pass the alignment screen so I bought I new digitizer and I installed it and I still get the same thing. What else can it be???
Disable Touchflo.... that should work if you have that enabled. Also Transcriber WONT work with Touchflo enabled. Cheers

Same thing happened to me last week. I did a hard-reset because I was having a different problem and then I couldn't get past the screen alignment. I brought it to an AT&T Device Support Center and they couldn't figure it out so they swapped it out for me

ive been having this strange problem with my touch screen for the past month or so. its been working just fine for the past year so this is a bit of a bother. anyways here goes:
the right half of my screen is properply aligned as in when im using the keyboard and pressing keys such as p or k or l they press fine but on the left half of the screen where keys such as A or S or D are present. when i press them they dont get pressed, instead the key next to them gets pressed for example if i press S then A shows up.
i tried aligning the screen it solves the problem but only untill the system reboot. when it goes haywire again like this. anyone else suffering from the same type of problem and know the solution to this?

Flash oem ATT rom, then flash new rom sir.. sounds like you have weird bug from your current rom... OR hardware issue.

if you use a magnet holder for your phone... it can crash your digitizer happands toa a friend with his wizard. his digitizer dont works exactly on the center...

This is extremely recent, just in the past few days.
Seemed to happen after installing ICS MOD ROM, but the problem persists through to Gingerbread ROMs and even new installs of CWM.
Basically when I turn my screen on the screen doesn't recognise me at all. BUT if I turn it off and then on quickly it works again...
This sound like a digitizer problem? What's my options?

Common fault linked either to end button sticking or touch screen ribbon conector that runs under button is worn by flexing stresses from button use.
there is a thread on apply preassure on button & wiggling it in circular figure of 8 motions with finger in an attempt to clean button if it is sticking issue, procedure could make it better or worse & long term solution is probably dismantling for inspection/repair.

In short - Yes
Try what Mister B says, it gave me about 5 seconds more of touch screen life after it gave up again for good. But for some others its worked for longer periods of time; but the problem won't go away unless the digitizer is replaced.

Part of the screen is not working, a half-circle, starting from "settings" button to th "home" button.
All that's left is working. And i don't think it's hardware related, because there is schratches or damages on the screen.
I have installed the EngleMars's kitkat rom wich work great; but problem is still here.
I have tested three rom, the issue remain.
Has anyone encounter this problem or a similar one, or is there any hope of recovering the screen?

It looks like dying digitizer(touch screen). I had a same problem on Milestone 1. Sometimes it help when you put your phone to a sack of rice so that it will suck moisture. But eventually you will need to replace it.
