Can someone help me whit that?
Thanks

Still not working... Help!!!!
My cam is working fine, but on a video call my video appears only green on the other fone...
Who can help me???? Please!!!!!!!!!!!
HTC Touch Dual (NEON)

I think this is the problem of 3G service provider.May be the network is conflict or there is something wrong in connection.Did you contact to customer care of sim card provider company?

Thanks for the help.
but I didn't contact the sim card company, because my parents use the same company, but other phone, and for them it works fine.
What else could be?
Thanks

T-Mobile UK and Video calling on MDA Pro

Hi all,
I've had my MDA Pro a few days now and I'm really impressed with most of it (except the size, I still can't quite get used to it's wider dimensions...!) - the screen is AMAZING and is one of the big things stopping me going back to a QVGA screen!
I've tried video calls on it - BUT - they don't seem to work.
I've had a mate call me from the "3" network and it worked fine - we could see and hear each other without problems.
When I call him however all he gets is a "incoming call" notification (and not an Incoming Video Call notification) and all he hears is "digtial white noise" - ie, the sound of a FAX machine!
I have had 2 and 4 bars when I've tried making calls, but only 2 bars when receiving so I know I've got WCDMA coverage.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Between my wife and myself we have the \jasjar and MDA Pro and on different networks. No problems at all! But I have experienced this exact problem before when I had a Sony Ericsson V800 and called a relative on '3'. He could call me no probbs, we saw each other and everything. But when I called him, white noise for him but notification that he was receiving a video call.
Bottom line: It was never resolved so I took the phone back. Try a video call in a t-mobile shop, if it works try a video call in say vodafone or with someone else. This will tell you if you're phone is faulty or wether the '3' network is truly incompatible with some phones/network providers. Or PM me with your number and we'll try a quick 10 second test both ways.
Thanks for the offer - I might take u up on it later on...
I've got some gibbon from tech supp calling me today to try and sort it out (I think he mentioned something about not pressing the little "turn video calls" button)
If that doesn't fix it then I'll be swapping numbers with ya!
Cheers
I have also had problems going from O2 to THREE with video calls...
I managed to call an Orange VIdeo phone and we both got a picture, they can hear me, but I get no sound
Calling from THREE to Orange works fine all round.
I couldnt get O2 to THREE to work at all.
Is there a general problem with network incompatibility here?
Video calling from T Mobile UK to any network is fine, as long as both partys are setup for the service, and have 3G coverage. and both handsets are compatible

No Video Calls with Trinity?

I have a Trinity and my phone provider is vodafone Germany. I tried everything to get a Video call to work but it just doesn't work. I have the 3g symbol on the display all the time and I live in Cologne which has UMTS everywhere. But if I call a number (my wifes number same provider and standing next to me so she has UMTS too) it seems as it should be ringing at the other end but it doesn't even ring there ...
Did anyone manage to make a video call with the trinity?
I HAVE THE SAME problem... I was thinking was signal problem.... but....
btw I can't send and receive mms too )))
Video Call and MMS works on mine =)

I couldnt send mms too. so i completely resetted (hard reset) and followed the vodafone mms instructions. Now it works. But still no video call.
Still no video calls on german vodafone?
so no one has managed to make a video call with the trinity on vodafone germany?
Today I made my first video call with T-Mobile Netherlands, so it does work.
still no video calls
I tried with my trinity with several vodafone germany cards and it does not work. It seems my device is defective.
Tried it last week with a video-call to my brother (he using a SE K800i on Orange), and it seems to work great Had to change the dial-pad back to the default HTC one though, cause the M$ one doesn't show the buttons to initiate a video-call
i have made a videocall with t-mobile nl, but the other person did not see me.. i could see him on my screen., and myself in the lower corner. And no, we were not filming eachother. ;-)
what about that ? we both were on umts network, standing next to eachother.
is it something on my phone i forgot to turn on ?
i have a orange spv m700, (yes officially unlocked, thnx to the nice man in the orange shop!)
he has a nokia N73
It seems the Vodafone network in germany does not "see" that my trinity is on UMTS. If I try to use Vodafone TV it says that I am currently not on UMTS which I am.... very strange... any help is much appreciated
I am having the same problem with Telsra in Australia. I have the 3G symbol, the service says it is on UMTS Telstra, can browse the net with HSDPA, everything else seems fine.
Maybe a lame question, but you have the video call service enabled by your operator/contract? Maybe you require some settings on the phone to be recognized as video call enabled/ to operate on the network?
MMS
I can not send MMS too. It drives me really crazy!!!
I have a dutch KPN provider

Since no one has answered this question yet: Yes, it works, albeit not to my satisfaction.
I'm using a Vodafone compact GPS (which should be identical to the HTC 3600=Trinity) on Vodafone Germany on the other (dark) side of the Rhine with good UMTS coverage (at least two bars). When phoning to, say, a Samsung UMTS mobile phone, I receive good picture quality and reasonable sound quality. However, the other side fails to receive decent sound; what is arriving there is regularly sort of "chopped" and hardly understandable. I'm not sure about the reason for this, but I suspect that it is my "Trinity" that is misbehaving (too slow? inadequate configuration settings?), as the Samsung's video arrives nicely and has good quality. It could also be the other way, of course, or it could be a Vodafone network problem.
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the video call quality on the Trinity?
PS: Hello to everybody, I'm new to this forum, and I apologise for any misbehaviour in advance as it is not intended , and yes, I have used the "search" option .

A hard reset involves deleting all data, right? I'm not looking forward to configuring the ppc again, really. But I guess it's worth a try, as the AEG-principle hardly ever fails...

Hi Elfriede. Welcome to the forum. Case you are german (der Name klingt danach) try this forum too: http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/forumdisplay.php?f=174
I sold my P3600 which I had bought from amazon just for the not working video calls. I then bought a Vodafone compact GPS... guess what... the video calls didn't work too. The guys at vodafone (which I had phoned 10 times for this problem and which had told me it must be my p3600's fault) just forgot to switch UMTS on!!! Now it works (I lost a few 100 € just because of vodafone-no-competence-service...)

front camera hermes

Hi,
Does anyone has the same problem? When i'am trying to video call someone, my front cam doesn't work. I see the other caller, but he don't see me.
I've tried different roms
Also with coolcam the front cam doesn't work
If you had this issue, and you solved it, how?
You must activate video call at your network provider befor use video call. If you use a prepaid method, maybe your provider did not suport that users.
Call your provider and check.
Well the above might be an issue but it does not explain why cool camera does not work. There are some existing threads on this:

Videocall fails! Help!

Hi there!
Got a problem: making a videocall from the Touch HD doesn't work at all. It gives some kind of message like 'videocall failed, try again?'. I am in a 3G area.
The strange thing is that I CAN make a videocall FROM my K850i TO the Blackstone (and then videocall works fine!) but NOT the other direction. I have tried both a T-mob sim and Vodafone Sim. They both work in the K850 but not in the Touch HD..
So, what's the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Ivo
I have the exact same problem! I've contacted my provider but they didn't know what it was either. I asked if it was a feature on my SIM or phone that needed enabling but they couldn't help me. This is very frustrating. Anyone got any answers?

I have the same problem and provider says that is the phone, because i bought it unlocked and not to them... But in my case, N95 and N97 can´t contact me, with same provider.
thanks in advance to whom may help us...
I have had this problem
And in my case, I found a solution:
The other phone was not "registered" as videocall-enabled by my provider... I made calls to other phones and I confirmed it worked fine !!
It depends on the videocall configuration of your provider: which phones they "accept" for videocall

Mic not working with my T-mobile sim.

Hi,
I have a really weird problem with my wildfire.
The mic is kinda broken on my phone so when people ring me they cannot hear me and I cannot record sound when using the sound recording app.
I thought this was a hardware fault, so I rang Virgin (my mum got her phone from there and its the same one) to get it replaced.
However, when I stuck my mums sim in it, and they did a factory reset, then a test call and it worked fine. When I did test calls to my family using my mums sim it worked fine, but then as soon as I put my t-mobile sim back in it, the mic stops working again.
Does anyone have a clue whats going on with my phone?
Thanx
Aaron

So u must be thinking that the t-mobile sim is giving the problem related to mic.
Anyway try this. Connect the wildfire headset and check the mic status of headset with t-mobile and other sim's. If u can have a working headset mic with t-mobile sim , then that might not be related to sim.

Very strange problem indeed. Do you have an idea what happens if you put your sim in, lets say, your mum phones? If the problem is SIM related, you should be able to repeat it in her phone, especialy since it's the same one.

One more thing for u.
Go to market and download "Z-Device Test". It shows the functioning of all hardware. May be it will help u to diagnose if it is hardware issue.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
