Guys today when i woke up i saw an sms from a friend i wanted to call him back my phone froze down took the battary out then in then the phone turned on but when i went to diel again the phone froze again then never turnd on again after 6h of no battary in my phone the phone turnd on but there is no signal at all.....................HELPPPPPP
i used PC companion to reper it if it a bug or something hard reset, the phone worked but no signal at allll please if any1 has any idea please tell me

SIM card issue?
i tried my sim on my X1 it works fine...
only on my x10 when i woke up this morning and all this problems happened and after i hard reset my phone works but no SIGNAL at all....my phone never fell down from me nor got het by anything..simply just woke up found it going nuts.....
try SEUS instead of PC Companion
if that didn't solve the problem then type *#*#4636#*#* on dialer. it will bring up a screen. make sure to set the "preferred network type" to the correct type. press the menu button and select the correct radio band.
if all those don't work, if you bought it from a store, take it back.
my phone lost signal about 2 weeks after I bought it.. did a factory data reset.. and it worked for a few hours then died again...took it back and swapped it the day after..
i found out that nth is working but when im out side there is a very weak signal.... my phone is not garenty on it so i will pay and get F**** thanks a lot if there is more solutions i would try them all
The other thing you could try is to get a new SIM card from your provider. It might help in conjunction with a another factory reset. Without a guarantee though you may just be screwed!

Fair enough buddy.. you get a 12 month guarantee included in the UK.. and I get free mobile insurance through my bank account.. so it's not something I need worry about (thankfully)!

Hi people,
My first post and unfortunately for a big problem...
I entered into a subway this morning and lost the sign (normal, of course) but now more than 10 hours later I still have no service, it shows the antenna and a ! next to it only.
I have tried the following:
- On commanager, The flight mode is NOT ON and the phone mode IS ON.
- Soft reset
- Hard Reset
- Tested the SIM card in a different cellphone, works OK.
- Tested a different SIM card into my P3600, no service.
It can't even find the a network when I set it to manual.
Please, any help can be useful...

but seriously it sounds like it's knackered. Could try re-flashing the firmware.
another thought. Have you tried a sim card of a different mobile operator in the 3600 ?

Anyway, I think all I can do now is try reflashing. I have the original ROM 1.15.405.5...
I have just finished the reflashing and after all I still having the same problem... no phone service... My SIM card is working fine when I test it in my old motorola phone...
Anyone else have an idea??

It really sounds like you've been methodical and covered all the possibilities. I hate to say it, but it may be time for the service center or retailer if they would take it back. The good thing is that you got your original ROM back on the thing so they can't complain about that. Good luck.
have you tried a different network operators sim card in the phone?
the phone's imei could have been barred from your current operator.
Yes, I have tried a SIM card from a different carrier, didn't work.
I'm sending it tomorrow to Teleservice in Germany (is it a good repair company?) to fix it up, let's see what happens.

Hi guys, I'm back. I sent my P3600 for fixing and they replaced the mainboard and works fine.
But, when I lose the sign the phone just take forever to restablish it. Today I came out of the subway again and the phone din't get service and I had to soft reset it...
And thats what happened the day before I sent it to repair... I fell like it's going to happen again!

Yes yes, your suggestion is valid... lol, but I'm serious, I don't know why I need to soft reset the device every time I lose service... that is annoying!
How many second a HTCP3600 need to find service when you turn it on or do a soft reset? I mean, what can be considered a normal behavior?
When I turn it on, it stays with the "!" for about 5 minutes and only after that time I get service... but sometimes I get no service at all....
I got in touch with Teleservice in germany, which replaced my mainboard, to see if they can give me some advice before I need to send it overseas, again, for repair... or replacement if possible!
If someone have an advice I would apreciate...

I always get a service within 5 seconds or something.. So there is definately something wrong with your device/simcard/provider.

Well you know what they say ,he laughs best who laughs last,anyway ,what you described happened to me as well ,yesterday i too was using the subway here in Athens and when i got home about five hours later i noticed that i had no phone service just an exclamation mark,i siftreset the device and the signal came back.
I was in a nasty car accident this afternoon and totalled my car. Something also seems to be amiss with my phone. It flew off the seat and hit something that knocked the battery out.
I put a different battery in (I keep a spare) and it seemed to work for about 3 hours then stopped being able to find signal from Verizon.
I've soft reset the thing multiple times, recharged the phone and tried everything else I could think of to get it to get range.
Any ideas?
I am glad you are ok man.If you have your data backed up go ahead and do a hard reset or may be try to get it reprovisionned(call Verizon Or dial star 228 i believe) as I am not sure exactly what it your ppc is doing?

I've hacked the phone and upgraded the firmware, etc. Dare I call Verizon?
this happened to me with an old LG phone, i dropped it and what happened was it knocked loose something in the antenna and i could barely get a signal, i had to get it replaced
if you take it in to a verizon store just flash it back to a retail rom and a bootloader
Yeah man, no worries.flash it back through SD card or Actyve sync and take it back. you wil be ok.
to me it sounds like u may have damaged the hardware in the phone. from wat i no about fones it sound like u may have damaged radio transmitter/reciever n u may jst have to get a new fone. its jst one of those things u cant avoid after ur fone takes a huge impact

I've had a bad "tech" day today Walked into work, put my laptop down and dropped my X1a . I'm 6'4" so its a pretty long way to drop even if its on to carpet. Sure enough, turned my phone on and the LCD wont turn on anymore although I hear the expected sounds etc
It is under warranty since it was bought at a Sony Style store out here in Massachusettes but the issue is that I had a custom ROM on it and without the screen turning on, I wont be able to replace it with the stock SPL, Radio, FW etc etc..
So my question is, do I even bother sending this thing in or do I spend the coming weekend disassembling this thing in the vague hope that I can fix it.
Anyone got some wisdom to offer on this?

well u dont need the screen to be on to flash it , and hardspl i dont think they will check it for a physical damage fix

I can relate to that, I'm 6/4 myself and havnt had one phone I havnt yet dropped, except my Xperia, but my girlfriend fixed that one when taking it off me while I was getting my new born nephew out of the car, so I hadnt o choice but to let the phone hit the floor when she dropped it. Couple of nasty scratches on the front casing and a really annoying one on the screen but I will have to live with it, I can neither take it out on her or the fact i had the littlun in my arms.
Anyway, to flash the SPL is probably the most difficult, but still simple, it just needs to be in USB mode (VOL-+POWER) from off and do the rest from PC. As for radio/ROM, use the SD method, requires only 1 button press which is the power button I think to confirm and then you're good to go.
It may end up stuck at connection setup or something, but they wont care, and if they do you just say you had sensitive data on there and had to hard reset before service.
As for timing I don't know, I'm yet to take mine in over the keyboard problem because I can't do without the phone a the moment.
I had same problem with screen, and they didnt take it under warranty because dropped me and flat cable gone. Took it to SE service, 40$ and two days work...
Does the service center check the SPL? I sent it twice w/0 changing to stock spl with no problems.
send it... dont tell them you dropped it unless you can tell that it was dropped. you got nothing to lose except a bill telling you what it would cost to fix it.
Mate, there is an other help to your case.
There is program for PC called "Jeyo Mobile Companion 2.1".
Download a trial (works for 30 days I think) and you will be able
to see what would be on the phone screen on your computer.
I used that to backup all my mails when my screen was broken.
You just have to have that program, connect your phone via USB
and you will be able to see the screen on your computer.

After all the waiting my phone came back with working signal.
But after receving one misscall or one call my phone freezes and i cant call anyone anymore, so i turn it of then turn it back on the phone doesnt work anymore!till after 2 hours of removing the battary, the phone shows the sony ericsson and enters, but i get an error saying: " sorry processer system is not responding. " so i have to remove the battary and wait at lest 5or6 hours so i can turn the phone on again but the same problem happens over and over is there anyone who knws how to solve such a problem?
i feel my phone got a viruse of some kind that is effecting my processer so is there a way i can completle remove the system from the phone and reinstalle it ill try to root my phone and see if that may help me in any kind but i really need help on this thank you all for you help and time for reading this...

Have you tried re-flashing via SEUS?
i have tried it like 20times the phone only turns on with a black screen that is lit with nothing on it and freezes... the phone only turns on after 2 hours as i said and gives me the error, and after 5or 6 hours turns on but if i get an miss call or call the phone starts to lag and freeze and not respond right...
all the simple first things i tried i want an extream make over for my phone so that it works....
to make it more clear the phone after one month of use this happend flashed it on seue the phone worked but with no signal in it so took it and got it fixed so now the signal is great but the phones softwear is not booting up in any way only after removing the battary for a long time so i need a complete system restor or i need to see if its a processer or just go back to my lame x Sony ericsson X1 and be one sad sony custmer. so please i need this help.....again im very thankfull

My galaxy g 2 data network I loose frequently . Sometimes I don't get for 10 hours. I tried auto network mode ie 2g3g but no result.
I make on off for a couple of times then sometimes it give me network on.
Some times in case of emergency need it's not working.
And yes no problem in Service provider network they make analysis and sure that coverage is fine. Also in my old lg optimus black the data network is working always fine. In need I have to use portable hotspot of lg.

happens with me sometimes...for me i found it to be service providers fault..put the sim in another slot and see..dont use dual sim...the other slot hangs sometimes...
I bought my phone in februari, after one month this problem started. When i restart the phone i can work with it a few days after it start over. Within a week u can not work with the phone any more becose it allso blocks when i whant to do a call. I have to reset it then. After three weeks it al starts over. This problem is with connection for calls, for data and for gps.
I writed the problems to samsung, they send me to a offical samsung repairer for free repair with my garantee. They said that i had cut sims and the problems maight be this, so i bought 2 new mini sim cards. But no fix. Then i gave the phone for a week to the repairer, they gave it back to me, i saw they had reset my phone, after three weeks the problems restart. So i beleve they just reset my phone and that took a week. I went back to the repairer with the same problems. Then the phone staid two weeks there. They get an update cernell with kies they said. But after three weeks i had the problems again. I went back to the repairer and they said that the phone is an import and beause of that they could not do anything more, they send me back to the seller.
So i went back to the seller. They took the phone for five weeks and answerd me that there are problems with the motherbord, costs are 250 euro, this problem was made by manual shocks like a fall or something, they sey there ara some scarves on the phone. So it was my fault and the garantee is void. They just send me the phone back without repair and don't belave that the problem was there sinds i baught the phone.
I'm vary mad, i just want to hit the phone with a hammer, that woold be a real manual schock.
In the meen while, my friend gave me a reserve phone with broken glass buth very good working phone.
I think i'll buy a new phone, i chinees or something, no expensive samsung that doesnt work properly and a service blaming me with that. At the end i lose 400 euros.
