It's been a while... - Touch CDMA General

I have been on the Android boat for quite some time now and wanted to go back to WinMo for the sake of simply updating my radio and the verizon update thing...
I am running Android on NAND(Myn's) and am not sure how to go back.
Do I simply run the RUU with a winmo build, and the opposite to get back?
And I can't recall the call code for updating yours service area....?
Thanks guys,
-Chris

What do you mean the opposite to get back?
I flashed back to WinMo by renaming the .nbh file to VOGUIMG.nbh and put it on the root of the sdcard and booted into the bootloader.
And for the call code, are you talking about the *228 number?

Yes, *228. Thanks.
As for going back being opposite.. I mean that there is a ROM for Android that I used to flash to NAND, through USB instead of my sd card...
So if I want to go back, I just take the nbh from the zipped folder, disregard the other stuff, and flash via sd?
Thanks for the help man.

All you need is the .nbh file. You have to rename it to VOGUIMG.nbh or the phone will not recognize it while in the bootloader.

Got that. Thanks man for the help. Any advice on which to flash to? I guess they are the same if I am just going to flash back to Android, huh?

I would go with NFSFAN's 6.5 ROM. But right now I am using NagROM 6.5.5 which a little more finger friendly when it comes to the top taskbar.

Cool. Thanks again man. I think I will try the latter... My gf's needs an update. She is still on v 14 or 15 of NFSFAN's 6.5.

I need SERIOUS HELP, Help ME!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE

I have a Mogul. That was Running 2.17 Official, tried to install DCD 2.1.0SPRINT, Said it installed successfully, on reboot it GETS STUCK IN HTC BLACK SCREEN. I tried to run RUU, GET ERROR 260. I can't connect through activesync either, Then I read To try to flash through SDCARD the official 2.17 renamed To TITAIMG. IT GET STUCK IN LOADING SCREEN, WHICH I LEFT RUNNING FOR OVER A HOUR, I ran out of ideas, and I hope I didn't brick My month old phone PLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASE HELP ME
Did you not read any directions or other posts?
You need to make sure you have the new radio, otherwise any rom that is 3.16 based will do this.
Flash original 3.16 to get the radio on the phone then do DCD's rom.
Also, try not to post retarded type like that makes it really hard to understand what your trying to say.
THANKS
Well thanks I guess, and I ll will try
Go into bootloader mode before flashing to ensure a good flash.
That has to be a .nbh renamed To TITAIMG right, and if so do you have a link. For some reason mine is a .exe

Open it up with winrar (or similar) to get the nbh file. Dude this is all pretty obvious stuff remember to do some more research into the device and its quirks before doing anything else
Man I looked In the winrar, And only 1 thing is in there and it was
3.16.651.0.exe. That is why I asked for a link to the right one, and I reaserched this and other sites for four days before I tried this.
It was the best I can do without hands on, Sorry to be such a burdan.
But I though this site would help me.

Extract the exe then take a look inside that one?? We aim to help all users but it is a two way process dude
Not sure if I have A good version of 3.16
sorry I dont know tried to open but a little black screen flashed.
Should i look for a different 3.16 rom.
Every other rom I have Has a .nbh
yea my 3.16 must not be real. Might be a dumb question, but I just want to ask. Can you flash a .exe on your phone
Sorry for any confusion, Can flash .exe through sc card
Your making it harder than it is.
1) Extract the exe via winrar.
2) Manually enter bootloader mode
3) Run the upgrade from a Windows XP Machine to be safe (just run the exe).
4) Let the device start
Fixed your phone in 4 steps.

Don't forget step 1.5: Connect the phone to the USB port on the Windows XP machine.

I think i have finally made a brick

I did something really silly 2 days ago.
Playing with the HD, i was looking at the sd card and saw old 1.14 spl as an nbh file, and thought, i think i might go back o scratch and start fresh. So i knew running 1.56 roms, that i would get the green screen and thought, well i know how to fix that, and proceeded to update the spl first--- what a mistake that turned out to be.
Now i hear u say just hook it up to activesync-- well there is my second problem- activesync wont see the phone in any of 3 usb 2.0 ports on my laptop.
Put it into bootloader when hooked up, and i get the tri color screen and it says
Blac120 32M RUUNBH
SPL-1.14.0000
MicroP-Blackstone(LED) V6
Upgrade Rom Code error
Please try again
USB doesnt show at the bottom where it usually says Serial.
When i remove the usb cable, it says serial, and when i plug it back in, it wont disappear.
The phone will not do anything except go into bootloader screen everytime i turn it on.Even just by pressing on button, with sd dard removed. Once on, i have to remove the battery to turn it off.
My only option is if there is a stock rom with signed RUU nbh file that might trick it when i try uploading vioa sd card.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
Very appreciating Frank in Australia

You answered your own question. If you've got the bootloader, you don't have a brick. Do that, and you should be fine.

Yeah i understand this, but what i really need to know is the stock rom- is it possible to download it as a Signed Ruu-NBH file so i can upload via sd card?
Thanks for your response
Still looking and trying to find it
Frank
I am not sure but i think you can extract the nbh file from the original htc stock rom.exe file.i do not want to say anything stupid but maybe after that you can update from the card.Someone correct me if i am wrong.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Yes you can extract the nbh file from the shipped rom. On your pc, right click on the shipped rom.exe and select "Extract Files.....". Then rename the extracted RUU_signed.nbh file to BLACIMG.nbh, copy to your sd card and flash. Good luck.
disable <allow usb connections> in the connection settings of active sync.. this might be the reason..of thd not being detected on usb connection in bootloader mode!
use MTTY .. erases almost everything on ram except bootloader..
or u can flash a stock rom
Thank you everyone for your advice. I have now managed to extract nbh from stock 1.14 rom, wwe as i need, and it goes 1 step further by saying loading, checking and then an error or 020002 appears and says not allow
. So i wonder if this means hspl needs to be re-installed???

T-Mobile UK HD2 - Warranty issues

Hi all,
I 've had my HD2 with T-Mobile UK for just over a month now... Love it, but as always the case with HTC phones, stock roms are noway near as good as cooked ones..
I have been flashing new roms with previous devices I owned (Wizard, S710, Diamond), but I am a bit hesitant with HD2. The reason is T-Mobile.. They told me that I'll invalidate my 2-year warranty if I do, so I was wondering is there a way to find the stock T-mobile rom and radio to go back if i need to send the phone out for repair?
Thanks and apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere.. I did search, only briefly I admit..
by far the easiest would be to dump (backup) what you have on it now [i think there is a tut in the blackstone forum]
then hspl and flash a cooked rom after that.
dumps from original roms are fairly easy to put back together with one of the kitchen packages

Hi sgiannis,
Try the following, look at Pagnell's post (#6)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=607584.
This is Version 1.43 (t-mobile) and is where i downloaded it from and it works fine.
First link in the first post of this sticky thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717 is a shared folder for Official ROMs. I uploaded the T-Mob UK ROM into the 1.43 folder and it is the exact same ROM I keep on my storage card for warrenty purposes.
By the way, the best way to flash for restoring warrenty purposes is to extract the exe into a new folder, rename the RUU_Signed.nbh to LEOIMG.nbh and then place it in the root of your SD card. Enter into bootloader (hold the volume down when turning the phone on and then when prompted press the power button. This will restore your SPL, radio and ROM to the correct versions for warrenty. I keep the nbh in a folder on my sd card just in case...

thanks guys.. appreciate that..
one thing:when you say place it in the root of my sd card, is that in any folder I choose or does it have to be somewhere specific? sorry if that's too basic..
you should format your sd card to FAT32 before you do this
so back up all your stuff on your computer so you can put it back on once youre done

If your running an energy rom just copy the android folder to your memory card and go.
Its begun. TMobile is starting to enforce tethering plans. I know you werent tethering but its got something to do with that.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App

i'm going crazy with this phone {PLZ HELP! :(}

hey guys,
i've been trying to fix a problem with my hd2 but it's hopeless. the phone just shuts down and i have a white screen when i try to start it up again (my battery is 80% full). after multiple tries my NAND rom finally boots and i can only surf through it for 10 minutes, after that the same cycle repeats itself...
any ideas????
You're either using a kernel that is undervolted so your phone can't sustain itself, so change the kernel or rom. Or your phone just has problems and needs to be sent to repair.
thank you so much for your answer!! i'll try searching the forums to find out how to put back Wm 6.5

Easy.
Download a CORRECT STOCK ROM.
Extract it with 7zip/ Winrar. Find the file name: RUU_signed.nbh Rename it to: leoimg.nbh
Copy leoimg.nbh to the root directory of your SD Card.
(dont forget to reformatted your SD card)
Go into bootloader, and follow the onscreen instruction.
Goodluck
