I need SERIOUS HELP, Help ME!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE - Mogul, XV6800 General

I have a Mogul. That was Running 2.17 Official, tried to install DCD 2.1.0SPRINT, Said it installed successfully, on reboot it GETS STUCK IN HTC BLACK SCREEN. I tried to run RUU, GET ERROR 260. I can't connect through activesync either, Then I read To try to flash through SDCARD the official 2.17 renamed To TITAIMG. IT GET STUCK IN LOADING SCREEN, WHICH I LEFT RUNNING FOR OVER A HOUR, I ran out of ideas, and I hope I didn't brick My month old phone PLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASE HELP ME

Did you not read any directions or other posts?
You need to make sure you have the new radio, otherwise any rom that is 3.16 based will do this.
Flash original 3.16 to get the radio on the phone then do DCD's rom.
Also, try not to post retarded type like that makes it really hard to understand what your trying to say.

THANKS
Well thanks I guess, and I ll will try

Go into bootloader mode before flashing to ensure a good flash.

That has to be a .nbh renamed To TITAIMG right, and if so do you have a link. For some reason mine is a .exe

Open it up with winrar (or similar) to get the nbh file. Dude this is all pretty obvious stuff remember to do some more research into the device and its quirks before doing anything else

Man I looked In the winrar, And only 1 thing is in there and it was
3.16.651.0.exe. That is why I asked for a link to the right one, and I reaserched this and other sites for four days before I tried this.
It was the best I can do without hands on, Sorry to be such a burdan.
But I though this site would help me.

Extract the exe then take a look inside that one?? We aim to help all users but it is a two way process dude

Not sure if I have A good version of 3.16
sorry I dont know tried to open but a little black screen flashed.
Should i look for a different 3.16 rom.

Every other rom I have Has a .nbh
yea my 3.16 must not be real. Might be a dumb question, but I just want to ask. Can you flash a .exe on your phone

Sorry for any confusion, Can flash .exe through sc card

Your making it harder than it is.
1) Extract the exe via winrar.
2) Manually enter bootloader mode
3) Run the upgrade from a Windows XP Machine to be safe (just run the exe).
4) Let the device start
Fixed your phone in 4 steps.

Don't forget step 1.5: Connect the phone to the USB port on the Windows XP machine.

Official M3100 AKU3 update from Orange failed, now stuck on bootloader screen, help!

My main phone is my M3100 which I've been using for a few months now, and wanted to update to the latest ROM from Orange (http://www.business.orange.co.uk/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Business&c=OUKPage&cid=1044134915191) hoping to resolve a call dropping problem I'd been experiencing lately.
My father recently upgraded to the same phone but hadn't used his yet, this too had the same firmware version as the one I have so I decided to update his first as he had no personal data stored on it.
Downloaded the 42Mb file, tried to run it but received an error. I googled this and found most people to be using winrar to extract the update files from the Orange .exe, which I did. This seemed to complete fully in about 10min and no problems showed up. I rebooted the phone but it just went back into the three colour screen. The update from Orange now doesn't recognise the phone so I'm unable to run that again.
On the bootloader screen is displayed:
HERM100
I PL-1.01
HERM100
SPL-1.09
Then at the bottom it says Serial (or USB if connected)
I gave Orange a call on handset faults tonight but they were already closed.
Could anyone point me in the right direction here please, I'm really stuck on this and the worst bit is it isn't my phone.
Thanks in advance.
No worries.
I suspect your phone will be fine.
Check the following:
The Wiki
The upgrading forum
The bricked Hermes thread
Or, maybe someone hanging out at the IRC channel can help out.
Thanks for that. I'll have a look through the links you've given.
As the update was provided by Orange I presumed it would be straight forward and work, seems I was wrong.
It is easy - all you need to do is establish an activesync connection and then double click the orange .exe fike you downloaded... What needs extracting?

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've applied updates to Windows Mobiles in the past like this and they worked fine.
When I double click the orange .exe file I get an error message which says part is corrupt, I've downloaded it several times but it still says it's corrupt in some way. The way around this I found on google was to use winrar to extract the exe and run the update file found within it.
I now can't establish an activesync connection and get Invalid Vendor ID error saying it can't be used on this device.

Just general advice this is mate -
As a rule of thumb I'd only 'force' the extraction of files from a currupt download, be it exe or another type, if you are looking from one or some files from within that set which may have survived the corruption. Even then it depends very much on what you're doing with the files afterward. If unsure, best avoided.
With the rom update, you're getting an exe file - albeit a compressed, self-extracting file that WinRAR or Winzip, 7-Zip etc. can work with - that really does need everything within it intact to work.
You've been unlucky in a way because had a different part of the download been corrupt it might not have run in the first place after extraction.
Hopefully you've got it all up and running by now from the pages posted above.

I was a little reluctant to try what I did, but had read of others who'd had the same issue with the download and it had worked for them.
Hinesight is a great thing
I had a go the other night at it but didn't get anywhere, about to have another go now.

Plz help..

Hi all. I just got Wing and its my first WM phone. I need help and I'm asking after I did all the searching possible and got some tips but I was unable to fix the problem Im having. I am not exactly what you would call a noob as I have flashed and moded many phones with Moto, Blackberry, Symbian and Linux Mobile OS's. Ok enough bragging haha.
Anyways I have downloaded the Herald-USPL-Beta3 and the NBH file and followed the exact instructions. The USPL is extracted in C:\, the folder is named "upgrade" and the NBH file is extracted to the RUU folder within the USPL folder. I have fresh install on Tmobile branded SPL higher than 4.0 and have installed the .CAB file found in the USPL and have softreseted the phone.
I have done this like 10 times already and every time I try to flash I get this:
The system cannot find the path specified. Then it starts to say 25%, 50%, 75% and then it says I should have the Active Sync icon gray and my phone screen blank. Well that never happens and when I hit Enter anyways it says that its lunching the RUU and two seconds later it tells me its all good to go and to hit Enter and when I do it exits out.
I have also turned the firewall off and hev no antivirus running.
Please help!
I was amazed of how modable this phone seemed but it looks like it going on EBAY and my SIM back in my Blackberry Curve..
Thanks!
ps Today I tried different PC and same thing happened..
wow.. anybody?
I'm starting to think Im either an idiot or I have the only Wing on this forum that wouldnt flash..

Help please!!

i have tried all kinds of options on trying cooked roms... everytime i try to install roms it hits 2% on the install than quites and the phone restarts.... its running stock rom stilll. i tried Hard SPL and uspl. nothing works... please help or guide me to complete my task thanks
reply
look at the "noobies guide to flashing". it give you all the steps. as far as getting to 2 % then it goes back to you stock rom. try and install the cab file that the "noobies guide" has in it for hard spl. i thing there are 3 total canon yang's cab. file, asberg's, and a disable cab. file after installing all those to your phone through active sync, do a soft reset then run the hard spl program. after that your fhone should be free for any rom that is made for a herald. as far as a uspl remember, in any rom there is a .nbh file all you have to do is save the rom either to your desktop. extract all the files there. or, make you own folder which to ectract the files in that. and all you need from all that is the .nbh file. then, you move that one file into thr "ruu' folder if it is not in there already. then, run the "herald uspl" make sure your phone is connected through active sync and then just follow the steps.
Yeah i finally got it.. just kept reading. it just like putting custom firmware on a psp... read and than learn one of the reason it didnt cause i was using rom for ther hermes.. i really really liked but i wouldnt go and thats why kind sucks cause i really wanted to use that one all kind good now just waiting to see some better rom

I think i have finally made a brick

I did something really silly 2 days ago.
Playing with the HD, i was looking at the sd card and saw old 1.14 spl as an nbh file, and thought, i think i might go back o scratch and start fresh. So i knew running 1.56 roms, that i would get the green screen and thought, well i know how to fix that, and proceeded to update the spl first--- what a mistake that turned out to be.
Now i hear u say just hook it up to activesync-- well there is my second problem- activesync wont see the phone in any of 3 usb 2.0 ports on my laptop.
Put it into bootloader when hooked up, and i get the tri color screen and it says
Blac120 32M RUUNBH
SPL-1.14.0000
MicroP-Blackstone(LED) V6
Upgrade Rom Code error
Please try again
USB doesnt show at the bottom where it usually says Serial.
When i remove the usb cable, it says serial, and when i plug it back in, it wont disappear.
The phone will not do anything except go into bootloader screen everytime i turn it on.Even just by pressing on button, with sd dard removed. Once on, i have to remove the battery to turn it off.
My only option is if there is a stock rom with signed RUU nbh file that might trick it when i try uploading vioa sd card.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
Very appreciating Frank in Australia
"My only option is if there is a stock rom with signed RUU nbh file that might trick it when i try uploading vioa sd card."
You answered your own question. If you've got the bootloader, you don't have a brick. Do that, and you should be fine.

Yeah i understand this, but what i really need to know is the stock rom- is it possible to download it as a Signed Ruu-NBH file so i can upload via sd card?
Thanks for your response
Still looking and trying to find it
Frank
I am not sure but i think you can extract the nbh file from the original htc stock rom.exe file.i do not want to say anything stupid but maybe after that you can update from the card.Someone correct me if i am wrong.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Yes you can extract the nbh file from the shipped rom. On your pc, right click on the shipped rom.exe and select "Extract Files.....". Then rename the extracted RUU_signed.nbh file to BLACIMG.nbh, copy to your sd card and flash. Good luck.
disable <allow usb connections> in the connection settings of active sync.. this might be the reason..of thd not being detected on usb connection in bootloader mode!
use MTTY .. erases almost everything on ram except bootloader..
or u can flash a stock rom
Thank you everyone for your advice. I have now managed to extract nbh from stock 1.14 rom, wwe as i need, and it goes 1 step further by saying loading, checking and then an error or 020002 appears and says not allow
. So i wonder if this means hspl needs to be re-installed???

o2 uk users to europe unbranded mango guide

hi i recently came across the new RUU_Schubert_S_HTC_Europe_4.05.401.02_Radio_5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE rom which is the europe unbranded mango rom i successfully flashed my o2 uk rom to this update without using any of the hspl flashing techniques so this way will remain updateable even through zune so here goes
Step 1- download this rom http://www39.multiupload.com:81/fil..._5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10U_Signed_by_ansar.zip
Step 2- extract this rom 2 a folder and name it something like update part 1
Step 3-download this file http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo.../ModelID.fig&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13155707623901
Step 4- download this mango rom http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo..._RELEASE.exe&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13155708495051
Step 5 extract the rom you downloaded in step 4 to a folder named update part 2 then drag the modeid file you downloaded in step 3 into your update part 2 folder
Step 6 flash your phone using the romupdateutility exe file in your 1st update folder at the end of this u will receive an error 270 dont panic as this is supposed to happen
Step 7 now time to flash again go to your update part 2 folder this time and click on the romupdateutility exe file and allow it to flash at the end of this you will have a fully unbranded mango 2 rom on your phone with all the updated radios
would also like to think ansar and petbede as parts of there discoveries was used in this guide hope this helps
Trying now, it worked for me to go to NoDo thnks to Petbed. I tried the oter methods to get Mango Final on mine by kept saying invalid vender ID so here goes....

Great Guide Daryld, Just thought id point out that anyone who is happy to have the HSPL can download DFT's new 7720 build, it is completely unbranded (have an O2 HD7 myself)
Great and simple way to also unbrand your phone
hi guys! quick question - the 2nd one is an application, so where does it extract to? I cant find a way - unless I need a rom extraction utility?

you learn something new everyday - brilliant mate, never knew about winrar opening exes!
how strange, now I get device not found error 260.
May try rebooting laptop
r u sure u r putting ur phone in bootloader mode u need to do this before flashing and u can do this by turning ur phone completely off then holding the the volume down button only while pressing the power button on u shud see a tricolour screen then when you go to flash it should recognise ur phone let me know if this helps
There may be a misunderstanding occurred.
Try to rename filename and extension from "ModelID.fig" to "ModelID.bmp" (quote not include).
You will see a real file of ModelID.fig..
It's just image not hardware id.
The real hardware id was specific into the Rom in the offset 0x0220.
Quite painless and looks good - installed no issues so far.
does this method require y device to be unlocked ?
I guess doing this way you lose all your side-loaded apps including chevron unlock?
Future Updates?
Does this allow standard updating via Zune? Or will we have to put on the original mango carrier roms when and if they become available?
I followed this and it worked a treat top post
only problem I have is some of my app purchases seem to be lost.....e.g. I paid for PES2011 and now it shows up with the BUY which I am reluctant to click in case I pay twice....any ideas?
I can't find the Modeid file?
When I open up the file in step 3 the files in there are as follows:
RomUpdateutility.exe
Enterbootloader.exe
RUUgetinfo.exe
Rapitool.exe
RUUresource.dll
Readme.doc
RUU_signed.nbh
SPL_Signed.nbh
Enterusb.fig
Enterbattery.fg
Romupdateutlity.cfg
Thanks
EDIT: Sorry ignore my post, about 10 seconds after posting my computer decided to work so got it now thanks

Its fine just click buy and it says its already purchased and then download. The real pain is as you would expect flashing the rom you wont have any saved games but its a small price to pay. Your xbox achievements remain

Guys I now have an issue using Bing voice and speaking and out loud. Keeps saying server not available right now...or words to that effect. Any ideas?
Yeah having the same issue here
