Hey guys whats up!!! You guys at XDA have been so great to me and I think it is about time i paid you back! I have been developing a website for quite sometime now that will make it easier for users to get at some key applications and information. Basicly my website is distrubiting some popular applications and even some that are useful and arent that well known yet. I update the website frequently so be sure to check it out!!!! A mobile optimized version will be released within a week so you can have easy access from your phone... similiar to Apple's appstore. if you have any questions please post a comment and i will be more then happy to reply

Nothing against you personally. But I read through your other thread and the way you had written your posts - You were trying to make it seem that you had nothing to do with it and just stumbled on to it or something. I am sure it may be a very usefull site but I just don't like the way you presented it here (and why two different threads?)

I won't hold it against you forever. Maybe a day. I am glad to see that you are taking ownership. I will probably take a peek at your site. I have checked out your contributions to this site and you are right. You have contribued quite a bit. Your contributions are appreciated here and valued. Keep up the good work with your themes etc... Just remember not to take advantage of everyone here through trickery. If your site is that great, Take pride in it and take ownership. If there is trickery, thefts, Warez in your site than I would understand why you would not take ownership.
I have to admit - When I first saw this it was in your other thread on this. I didn't notice in your opening post *In this thread) that you actually say you worked on this site. I appologize; however, you did still appear very dishonest in the other thread and even in this one a little bit. You should go and edit your posts though so that things are clear with everyone. And don't clutter the forums with multiple threads.

Flashing 2.1 on to HTC Hero on Orange in UK

Hi guys,
I am new to xda, so bare with me if I am repeating stuff that has already been asked. I have a HTC hero over here in the UK with Orange, and was wandering if the cracked versions of Android 2.1 such as Fresh ROM by Flipzmode will work on my HTC Hero? I.e - will everything still work on the network like calls, 3G and all that sort of stuff.
If so, could someone also give me/link me to some detailed instructions on how to flash the ROM onto my Hero. I am quite computer proficient but do not wana mess up my phone by doing something wrong.

You're in the wrong forum here, CDMA only (very different phone, only the name is the same). You cannot use anything by flipz, but I'm sure you all over the pond have a dev that comes close.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it will flash on to a GSM hero.
Problem being the difference in radio I believe.

Just thinking out loud...or in text...what ever.
Would a CDMA radio brick a GSM phone? I mean GSM Radios run at a higher voltage than our CDMA radios do, and thats what causes the actual issue.
Now I would also think if he loaded flipz rom he would be fine(maybe not boot, but still fixable) because it doesn't touch the radio....unless he loads a flipz radio....then see the first thought.

He was asking a question about the HERO...it's not necessarily his fault he didn't realize he was talking about a GSM device. So he went to the spot where he saw 'hero' in the thread and asked.
I'm not the 'obnixious rude people police'...but at least I have the good sense not to tell someone to do something that's obviously harmful to their device. If you want to kick someone in the nards via forum text, feel free as far as I'm concerned. But don't advise noobs in how to bust their phone. That's beyond rude.

I kinda have to agree.. The point of these forums is to share information and help others. If you don't want to share or be helpful fine, but it's pretty nasty to knowingly tell someone to do something that could possibly damage their phone. I realize there was some sarcasm in the post, but someone new to all this might not get it. Not to mention there are plenty of people that have no idea what GSM, CDMA, or iDen are.

You really should be putting questions like this in the appropriate Thread, not create a new Thread. If you're talking about Liberated with Froyo ROM, put the question there. Same goes for the next question you asked.

It technically doesn't matter. If someone were to search the forum the result would be the same, they'd get the answer they were looking for. Ultimately, that is what a forum is for: exchange of information. As long as we can search it successfully, that is the end goal.

As of this hour, I'm the only one that has replied. And all I was trying to do is help your feeble mind get an answer to your stupid question. EXCUSE ME for trying to help. Well, I guess I'm indifferent that I usually search phone device sections, or a sub-section of the device (development, general, etc). In this case, my question fits perfectly where I'd be able to find it!

And, I don't post in the General section because most of the dimwits in the GENERAL section have not a friggen clue what they're talking about. 95% of them probably don't even know about the Gratia ROM being ported to our device.

I stand corrected on the ROM question; you did state it, my mistake.
Still not sure why you didn't post your question in the Gratia Thread that was already started; namely: "HTC Sense UI Froyo ROM for HTC Aria aka Liberty aka Gratia"; fits beautifully there. And, I was really only trying to help you get an answer quicker; no nit picky'ing intended.

I would hold off on doing that if you plan on using WP7 on the HD2, apparently Windows Genuine Phone won't work, so you won't have access to most "features"...

Maybe, maybe not.... as we don't have access to the latest build, how do we know what works or doesn't? All we know is that "a previous build" didn't work.

Ok.. Seems my first warning wasn't enough. This is not the place to discuss illegal activities such as cracking pvk on WP7. I'm not going to deny that it is being done but it is surely going to create a problem at some point down the road. Is this for real. Nothing has been said on XDA about the rom being release soon. More news on DFT forum about the excitement brewing about the release. Can't wait and thanks for all the hard work DFT!!!!

Yes everyone is exciting on DFT. For some reasons (don't know why) they believe WP7 will be out in some hours.
As I understand this screenshot was found on a microbloging client from DFT.
But I can't take it bigger because I can't log on DFT Forum.
Edit: Is the DFT Forum accessible now for you? because it said to me "Bad Request - Invalid Hostname", it was online 10 min ago

Personally, I wouldn't want to run a SDK version of Honeycomb on my Gtablet. I want to see the real thing, and I am willing to wait for it.
For a real build -- at minimal -- the AOSP needs to be released.

i hope the devs are able to work on this soon. do they even have the time? i'm not gonna get my hopes up about using Honeycomb anytime soon though...

I think they have to wait for the Zoom to come out before they can port it over to us. Just be patient and I am sure they wiil get it to us as soon as possible. Please stop posting these useless honeycomb threads.

The files Ni is missing are from Nvidia....same ones the GTab is missing. Its the same people working on the roms. They have no advantage or anymore information than anyone else. They just act like they due cause they think they are that important in the tab world
