Auto Internet Setting disabled! Help! - XPERIA X10 General

My debranded and unlocked white X10 got the Auto Interent Setting disabled so I have to enter the APN manually everytime i change sim card. My sister generic back X10 hasn't got this problem. IS there any way i can enable this function again? Thanks in advance!

Any help? I am having same issue. I just unlocked, and debranded to the NEW X10a version listed on esato Debranding Tutorial. I see the phone is debranded but the Auto Internet settings is still disabled. I could manually create APN settings but MMS doesn't work. I have R1FB001 and SEUS doesn't even see a newer version of 1.6.
Any help?

Firmware update problem

Hello:
I have a X10i R1FA014 Xperia from vodafone Spain. I try to flash my device to German R1FA016 firmware. The update is ok, but I found a problem.
When I start the phone, it´s detect the sim (vodafone). I type the pin code and unlock the sim. But the phone does not take coverage. And in the status bar apperars the sim lock icon. With the sim of other operator (movistar) the phone don´t detect the sim. Whitout a sim card, the phone works correctly. But when I put my vodafone sim card, the phone don´t take coverage (no service message), and the phone displays the Activating message. As it don´t captures the signal coverage can not be activated. I cannot use my phone as a phone!!!
When I go back to the R1FA014 vodafone software (I made a backup copy) the phone don´t work, it show me the same message and the same problem happens. The flash is ok, when I start the phone without Sim card, I can use it, and see the firmware version.
Anyone know how can I unlock the simcard (not unlock the phone)? Anyone can help me?
Have you another sim of vodafone ?
Hello:
I tried with three vodafone sims (put the pin, but no coverage) and a movistar sim (don´t detect the sim)
has you tried re-flashing via davinciteam to vodafone fw ? and then you can use warranty
No, I haven´t tried. But what service, the flashing of the sim-unlock.
The flashing it´s good, the problem has that the phone lock my sim (vodafone)
In the service menu, sim lock submenu I have the next:
Network: 5
Network subset 5
Service provider 5
Corporate 5
Sim 0
Yes but I would try davinci flash method fw with uk generic
cheers
Are you sure that flashing with uk generic firmware I remove the simlock?
I have friends that they have vodafone x10 and with method davinci all it is ok
It is a option the you must try
But vodafone UK or vodafone Spain?
both....
And for Spain the correct version it's UK? I read Germany, not UK. This metod can solve my problem?¿
my friends spanish have uk generic
I flash the phone with davinci team, but don't wok.
Anyone idea?
Do you configure correctly APN of vodafone es ?
The apn is for the internet conection? The problem is that the phone don't detect the sim. The icon in the status area is the sim lock icon. With the vodafone rom don't detect the sim too. if no operator service, what I have set the apn? I cannot do anything if I start the phone with the sim card
you must go to:
Settings -> wireless controls -> mobile network -> APN
And create new APN
for vodafone es :
http://4ndroid.com/configuracion-3g-vodafone-para-android/
this option should work
I create the apn, then I go to menu key and save settings. But the apn it's no saved!!!
I connect to the network via wireless. I reboot the phone and put in the sim card. The phone is lock. The simcard is lock. Only works fine without a sim card.
I found this in the security option of service menu.
SEMC [Key OK][Active]
VIACCESS[Key OK][Deactive]
CMLA[Key OK][Active]
MARLIN[Key OK][Deactive]
I don't need now connect to Internet. I need that's the phone don't lock my vodafone sim!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had you talking with vodafone es asking about imei blocked or similar ?
Has this phone warranty already?
Was the x10 working originally? If you are flashing the phone to get rid of the simlock the debranding method won't work.
If you are flashing to lift a bar restriction on the phone that definitely won't work.
The imei is the phones registration number and is hard coded into the phone. If the phone is second hand the seller could have reported it as either lost or stolen to their network. The network would then have blacklisted the phone based on the imei number.
Hello:
The phone is new, I got it last Tuesday to make portability.
Could be solved if I call vodafone and ask if they have my IMEI locked phone?
The phone is new, as I said, it was not stolen. It worked perfectly until I debrand it.

[Q] Eclair 2.1 No Network

Hey.
I updated my LG Gt540 to Eclair 2.1 and I am really happy that I´ve done that.
As I wanted to use the internet (no WiFi, i think its called GPRS) it doesn´t work.
My question is, why is it so? Can I bring it back to work?
TehBone
Check apn settings
Sent from my GT540
go to network settings and select your 3g network provider manually.
if that doesn't solve it, you'll need to flash another rom. I don't have internet on the baltic rom, but no problems with the open europe one. have no idea why that is...
THX.
Can I check my APN with APNonoff or another app?
Ehm. I don´t know if network is the right word for my problem. So in german its something with the internet. So the Internet (no WiFi, WiFi works well ) does´t work.
TehBone
O.K. I have a Problem!
As I wanted to update to an open European rom, the OS seems to be a bit broken.
Evertime I did anything a small little Windows Pops up, that the OS ist broken.
What do I have to do?
As I boot the Phone again it stops with the "LG"-Logo. How can I do an downgrade or Update or anything else, so that the Phone works again?
PLS Help!!!

Problem with Vodafone UK

I updated my Galaxy S with Froyo 2.1.1 I900XXJPX by patching Kies.
Now I cannot use the device in 3g mode with Vodafone (it works with 3UK).
If i try and dial a number it just hangs on the dialing symbol.
To receive or make calls with Vodafone I have to set the device to GSM only.
I have used the option to set my CSC code to XEU , but still does not work.
Any thoughts ? (was fine before i flashed it).
Mark
Flash back to 2.2 or 2.1 and see if problem is still there.
Have you checked your APN settings?
You may have to reinput this data manually if its not there to make it work again.
You will be able to find the APN settings from the vodafone website.
Settings>Wireless and network>Mobile networks> APN.
APN settings link

MMS finally working on Omnia7

It's been a while and patiently waiting for Samsung or MS to provide a solution to address this issue but still no luck. After doing some research, connecting the dots and thinking a way around to make this work. I finally was able to.
So I just want to share to the rest of my fellow Omnia7 users who are frustrated with getting the MMS to work 'coz despite the Network profile tool working with some, there are still some like me who couldn't.
Here are the steps I did to finally make it work.
1. If you are on Nodo already, unlocked and still no mms. Just install the SamsungTools from lyriquidperfection found here tick on Set 'Run ADC' Flag and reboot the phone. You don't need to run the Network Profile any more just check if your carrier is the one listed in the mms setting by going to the Diagnosis menu (##634#) then keying in *#9920#
2. If you are on Nodo already, locked and no mms. Unfortunately, you would have to flash to the previous rom before Nodo if you can't successfully make Chevron work. I used this version I8700_XEN_I8700XENJK1 found in this thread. Unlock your phone using Chevron and then installing the SamsungTools. After you have mms working, you can upgrade to NoDo. There's a possibility that you may lose the unlock state, mine still remained unlocked. But you're mms settings will be retained.
I don't know if there's an easier way to get MMS working but this worked for me.

I did this route, but not for MMS, i had a problem on my Omnia 7 display from tweaking registry. I had to flash to this ROM I8700_XEN_I8700XENJK1 but i really wanted my original branded T-mobile UK rom . Now my phone is dev unlocked and on Nodo, but today i see a branded t-mobile ROM on the main samsung omnia 7 page, so i will flash to Samsung-Omnia-7-Firmware-XXJJ6-ALL-PROVIDERS even if it goes back to firmware 7.0 7004 ..then update to nodo after. Im having one or two issues with XEN_I8700XENJK1 ROM on my Omnia 7 thats why i am flashing again. oh well more loss of apps, settings and tension lol
thanks for the good tips, i will check it out for MMS issues.

[Q] Galaxy S5 Locked Vodafone WiFi settings

Hi all,
I bought an S5 that had been locked to Vodafone. I have had it unlocked and flashed it with the UK generic software to remove all of the Voda bloatware. This is all fine but unfortunately it still has the Vodafone WiFi settings in it meaning every time I am on the underground it tries to connect to the WiFi under Vodafone, when I have looked there is no option to forget (remove) the Vodafone settings. I flashed the phone using Odin and followed the guide and used the firmware supplied by Sammobile.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
Hi. I have an unlocked Vodafone one I picked up today. Can I ask what CSC you flashed in Odin and died it trip Knox?
Flashing firmware doesn't routinely remove userdata settings. Do a factory data reset from the settings menu and that should resolve your issue. Be sure to backup any files that are important to you first though.
In the alternative, you might be able to reset just the wifi settings by going to the Application mamager in the settings menu and see if you can identify which is the wifi app. If you can, then clear cache and data from the tab for the wifi app.

Flashed mine with BTU tonight. It didn't stick properly the first time and using an app called Phone Info, it said the active CSC was VOD/BTU. I need to factory reset and reflash a few times before it fully applied the new CSC.
Maybe yours is VOD/BTU?
