Hi,
Tried a search about this but couldn't find an answer....
I inadvertently deleted all of my SMS messages from my phone (I have a backup of most of them using MS MyPhone). When I try to sync, it does not restore any of the messages! I have tried in both conversion mode and normal (unthreaded) mode but cannot get then to restore! Is there some sort of database that needs emptying or deleting to get them to restore?
Any help will be appreciated!
Regards,
Alan

Hi, can anyone tell me how to save text messages to a SD card because I want to upgrade but dont want to delete the text messages. I dont want to use Sprite Backup.
Hi,
Your text messages are saved on your device in 'cemail.vol' file, backup this file to ur sd, then recopy it to the device after hard reset.
Good Luck
Mohammad
Thank you for your respond.

Another way is to get Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook. This app will sync the text messages into an Outlook folder and then allow you to restore them to the PPC after a hard reset.
I am trying to save phone history but have not suceeded.
have tried "PIM Backup" it shows its saving the backup with History (call Logs), Contacts, Sms. But when I restore, Only contacts are restored but not the Call History.
I am using Faria Mobile 6 (Crossbow) on my Qtek 9100.
Please suggest appropriate software workable.

Hi!
One of the most annoying things after a flash/HR is re-setting up my e-mail-accounts. So I'm searching a way to backup only SMTP and IMAP/POP-server, usernames, passwords SSL-settings and send/recieve-schedules. The mails do not have to be saved in the backup because I'm using IMAP only. Has anybody of you out there a good and simple solution to backup these settings?
I tried SK-tools but I think this program backups "too much" for my taste. I'm not a friend of solutions like Sprite-/SPB-Backup.
I'd be really very grateful for any help!! THX in advance!!

Try Sashimi. You can use this tool for more then only mail. You can make xml's with all the settings. After a hard reset import the xmls with sashimi and done. One tip dont put the password in the xml beacuse its plain text. So when you loose youre telephone they have your password. If you put the password in the xml first time you will sync windows will ask it and give it and enable "save password". When you are usign shashimi you can also use it to install your programs. Copy files. etc
And if you want to go further you can also use it to backup files before a flash.
Hi. Thanks for your tip. I read about SASHIMI yesterday for the last time and I was about to try it anyway. Thanks again.
