I`ve ordered one of these nice and shiny charging cradles on Ebay but had to figure out that it doesn`t fit to my US HD2 . Before I am going to waste more money on another one does anybody has a suggestion or experience with a cradle and the US HD2? BTW I was looking for one with the 3.5mm plugin.
We'll see...
Not sure, but I just ordered this one yesterday, and can let you know when it arrives. Here's hoping.

ORA Deluxe Cradle Not Compatible With USA HTC HD2
Hello Everyone,
The one I got from www.expansys-usa.com does not allow the HTC HD2 USA model to fully seat into the base, therefore the microusb/3.5mm jack do not fully engage into the phone. You can see, the back edge of the cradle would need to have some material removed to allow the phone to seat all the way down. Hope the picture helps explain the problem. I have not decided yet to return the product or do surgery on my new cradle. It is a real pity because, I really like this cradle.

GREAT i just wasted money on a stupid craddle i bought on ebay it should be its way this week. now what am i suppose to do
Found this...
http://www.thinkhd2.com/htc-hd2-sync-desktop-cradle-9681.html
Looks like all of us who got one with the 3.5mm jack all got the exact same cradle, despite where we purchased it from. And we all found out the TMOUS HD2 does not seat on the cradle.
MonnieRock - I would not try doing surgery on the cradle if I were you. Unless you're very good at doing this sort of thing. I've already tried with a drill, vice and hack saw. The plastic is pretty thick and the areas that need to be trimmed are where some of is not only thick, but also some wires are under that area. Hard to try dismantling the cradle, because wires are stuck to both sides of the insider parts with wax and screws. And part of the area that needs trimming is right near the jacks. I made a good mess of the cradle, but never could get my TMOUS HD2 to seat properly. The 2nd battery slot does at least work though . I recommend you just return the cradle for a refund if you can get a refund.

Darnell,
I carefully inspected the cradle and confident I could modify the cradle with excellent results and still remain cosmetically perfect. I have a lot of tools for this kind of work. To tell you the truth, I do not want to spend the time on it. One of the reasons I got it from www.expansys-usa.com so that if needed, I could return for a full refund. I will just wait until there is a compatible cradle for the T-Mobile USA HD2.
Thank you,
Monnie
And are there any news on a cradle that works with the US HD2? Anybody got one that fits his TMOUS device? Can`t belive that they sold so many of them and there is no loading cradle available yet...
Looks like there is now a T-Mobile US HD2 cradle available:

Just ordered this one too! Ill keep you guys posted.
I'll report once I get it. I'm only wondering if it will hold the device so snug, that I might have to shed the Bodyguardz skin that I am using.
I got confirmation that it has shipped. I sure hope it arrives this week.

I think this time it will be more like me enjoying the sweet cradle longer than most others . I really think this one will hold it just fine. Same seller who was selling the European version. And when selling the European version they made it clear it may not fit the US T-Mobile version. So I'm sure they know the differnce now that they've specified one for the US T-Mobile version. They've even got the US T-Mobile HD2 in the picture.
Got mine today. Fits perfect and looks great. Very well built.

I got mine today too. Have you tried seeing if the the audio jack plays STEREO audio when you use headphones with it and play music on your T-Mobile US HTC HD2?
I'll let you all see the message I just sent the seller of this cradle (legendzonetrade):
I received this item and it does not properly fit the US T-Mobile HTC HD2. I had to press very hard to get it into the cradle and even then the headphone jack only played MONO not stereo audio.
How can you get me a cradle that properly fits the US T-Mobile HD2 and properly seats the audio jack so that audio plays in stereo?

I also had to remove the bottom portion of my BodyGuardz cover. The part just below the battery cover, the small bottom back piece of BodyGuardz protective covering. Just to get the device to seat at all. I did not really mind that. I do mind the device not seating well enough for stereo audio out of the headphone jack.
I'll keep everyone posted once I hear/know more. For the moment, I can't recommend getting this one. Anyone who has one already or one coming, check if the device seats well enough for the headphone jack to play STEREO through your headphones.
Audio jack works but had to fiddle with it to get it to play.

I read a number of the case threads and it seems like there's still no one shipping a Kaiser hard case (aka aluminum case aka armor case), along the lines of this one from Boxwave (for the Hermes/TyTN):
http://www.boxwave.com/products/armorcase/armor-case-htc-tytn_2076.htm
I anyone has found such a beast, please post it here - and I will update this thread as I (hopefully) find sources for the same.
Also, if you want something like this, Boxwave has a link to request an "armor case" for other devices:
http://www.boxwave.com/community/request/request_model_51.htm
please submit a request - they *do* seem to listen....
Richard
I think it's not a lack of manufacturer desire to support the Kaiser, I think it's just that the Kaiser hasn't been out long enough for the manufacturers to catch up.
I'm hoping that something similar to Boxwave's Active Case for the Hermes is released for the Kaiser soon - I loved that case.

fitting is one thing ... but having all the openings exactly specify to the TyTN II is very important !!!
camera & buttons are not the same place between the 2 models !!
sure you can use the TyTN's case ... but your rear camera will be covered .. and the TyTN's camera is large and centered, where the TyTN II's is off to the side a bit !!

most sellers tried to passed on the accessories for the TyTN as fitting/working for the Kaiser/TyTN II ...etc
he listed the black one as case for the Kaiser ... but look at the picture ... it is NOT !!

and if you look at his listing for the silver one (#160166816744) ... the front of the case droop to the right side similar to the case for the original TyTN's front camera ( right front )
looks like he just thow in the Kaiser and took pictures !!
I'd sent him a message demanding more pictures detailing the openings and showing the backside ..etc

I have the TyTN one and it does *NOT* fit the TyTN II. The button openings around the scroller wheel for instance are a complete misfit.
Now ... THIS is a real picture of a Kaiser/TyTN II metal case !! notice the placement of the front camera opening ???
not sure if these guys will sell it per customer instead of mass wholesale though
we could buy it as a group thing ???

Proporta have just released thier Aluminium case for the Vario III,
The webpage was acting up a bit so I just rang them and made an order, if you look at the catalogue for all Vario III accessories they do a few package deals one of which is a top of the range screen protector, 3 in 1 stylus and an aluminium hard case, which'll save you about £5.
Bonza mate, thats more holler for the dollar eh.

Well thats good news, I just rang up Proporta and thats a generic image they use until they manage to update with the official images. So panic over, The Vario III aluminium case has definatly been released, I got an email this morning saying mine has been dispatched. I'll update when it arrives and confirm there hasn't been a royal ****-up
any difference (front button shapes / sizes etc) between the III and the unbranded kaiser?
As the HTC Kaiser page doesn't list the case but the Vario does.

As far as I know the Vario III is branded by T-Mobile, so it has a Silver gun metal case, not black, and a dirty great T-Mobile logo on it (where the hell are sugar cubes brought these days?!?). the buttons remain the same. And I also find it a bit strange since I contacted them about a HTC Tytn II case and got told, they hadn't made one, then Ordered the Vario III case, I think they're a little confused about the two models, I expect due to the Vario III's lack of reference to HTC.

I don't know about you but in my case I would preferred that a vendor knows their product !!!
the difference between they knowing what you are refering to & them not having a clue of what you are talking about ...it would serve a great point down the road in term of customer supports & save you a lot of hair pulling !!
but ... that's just me !! customer know how & support is a deal breaker for me.

"How it sounds to other callers is what matters most, however, and here the New Jawbone's performance was breathtaking. In a series of calls plus 15 voicemail tests, the New Jawbone sounded full-bodied, warm, and detailed—and, with the noise canceling circuitry engaged, there was no background noise whatsoever."
"But the New Jawbone's noise canceling performance was simply spectacular."

Well my biggest problem is Voice Command. When I am in the car, or the supermarket it works fine and understands my commands.
However the minute i step outside with even moderate winds it doesn't respond at all...which means that it isn't anywhere near recognizing (or hearing) what I am saying.
I'm glad the motopure h12 works for you, but people said the same thing about the jawbone and z9...that they used theirs in increible noisy environments, or in their convertible and had no issues.
Unfortunately, I don't see the h12 for sale at any big-box stores, and I'm not willing to pay 2-way shipping just to try it out.
With the spring upon us, I will be outside more often. We all know it is difficult to see the screen in sunlight, so I find using MSVC to dial my calls is a must. Are you using MSVC with your H12? If you have the opportunity to try it out and see if it still picks up your commands while speeding down in your jeep, I would be interested to know...
thx

I know about magnetic USB... but I wonder how they will be implementing this? Are they providing a plate or something to lay the headset on to charge inductively?
Seems to be plenty of info here + a nice ear to see it displayed on.
http://jawbone.com/index.aspx
I am going to give it a try as I have been very dissappointed with my Jabra BT8040. I never have been able to get it to stay in my ear. I need one with an ear loop.
I got mine in the mail Monday, to replace the JB1.
Works better than the old JB. As for the magnetic coupling, what it is, is a usb connector, which plugs into the AC adapter, or a usb port. On the other end, is the plug that hooks to the jawbone. Inside the connector, in the middle, are the
4 contacts to charge it. On either side of that, are two tiny squares, which are magnetic. The end of the jawbone has a piece of metal on the inside, which holds the charger connector on the jawbone.
Here's a cell phone photo, should help.

Thanks...that's kind of a rip off though. It looks no different than any other type of charging cradle except instead of being held in place by plastic nibs or something it is being held by a magnet.
When I think of magnetic USB, I think of those new charging mats that they have whereby you place a device with a special outer casing and it sticks to the mat and charges through induction.
I could have my terms wrong...but that's what I was expecting.
If you've ever been in a best buy, and have seen one of the mac laptops with the power adapter, appears they got the idea from something like that I guess.
I know I like the new one better. I popped the cap on my old jawbone, but a tiny drop of super glue fixed that
LOL...I've been to Chicago a few times, if they get ANYTHING to work in that
wind, they would definitely have something! Heck, they should set up a "wind test lab" in Chicago!

I really detest these proprietary connectors.
As far as I am concerned, any device should be able to use a mini-usb connector, or it very small, a micro-usb connector.
Almost every single device out there can be charged off a laptop, which means they all take USB current input (5v). For those that take less, a universal charger could provide voltage regulation, but the form factor can still remain mini/micro usb.
If a device is so small that micro USB connector won't fit, then I probably don't want it as it would be too easy to lose. I'm sure by the time they make a BT headset that fits in your ear canal induction based charging will be more widespread.
This grudge isn't just against phones and BT headsets, it is one reason I will never buy an ipod.
Unless the new z9 or the H12 (haven't investigated yet) is also using proprietary (and thus I am out of options), I don't think I will be buying the new Jawbone.

Just got my jawbone 2 and I have to say this is the best headset I've used. Coming from a Plantronics Discovery 655. Works perfectly with Voice Command. I thought the lack of buttons was going to be a problem, but I got used to it quick.
However, it is really pricey. I ended up paying $140 direct from jawbone after tax and shipping. Hopefully once online shops starts stocking these the price will come down.

Donny, if by Voice Command you mean MS Voice Command, would you be able to do some tests in a windy environment for me? I don't think rolling with the windows down suffices, because that really just creates noise, not really wind.
I'm in chicago, so I don't really need to simulate but maybe a blow dryer or something if you can't find any natural wind?
When i use my Z9 outside MSVC doesn't even register that I've said anything.
I'm going to wait until the Z9i until i make my next decision, as I would rather have the micro-usb charging, and I honestly think I prefer the look of the blueant. However, if the wind-cancellation/noise-suppression is far superior on the JB, I may go with that.
Also, in the below pic, what is the little clear plastic nub on the tip for?

Custom Wizard casemod
Hello my friends,
I've been using a Wizard for quite a while now. I've added a lot of programs and utilities, removed some, modified others, but never changed my ROM (still with its WM5 )
Recently, my QWERTY keyboard got damaged, and the case is all scratched too... So I've got this (strange) idea: make a new case for my Wizard. Since the keyboard is damaged, I'll remove it and try to make this babe a little slimer.
I would like to state that in no way I have any connection to HTC, nor this is a new HTC device. It's only a personal project to improve my own device.

This prototype now has another cool feature: it has an internal skeleton and an external shell, so you can have multiple "skins" to change whenever you get sick of one. I've rendered a red shell just to show an example.

Case prototype (Frontal shell, frontal skeleton, back skeleton and back shell)
Mounting schematic
November 11, 2009
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally got some vacations, and now I can dedicate myself to this dreamy project. Here are some pics of the old Wizard, just as the darky-obsidian-glossy-mirror-like plastic, lol.
October 8, 2009
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I've finished the prototype in Photoshop, since that was vital for this project. These buttons were removed, since I've never had any use for them: volume slider, comm manager and voice dial (is it?). The camera button is missing, but I'll insert it there tomorrow .
October 7, 2009
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll be using hard and soft plastic for the case. The soft plastic will be used where there are buttons, since it'll be a single piece (as Nokia N78 did with some front buttons). The rest will be hard plastic. I'll try to achieve a black piano-ish finish, just as the black Diamond.
I've took some measuring, and if my plans are right, I'll take 1/3 out of its thickness!
I love my Wizard, but I always felt it kinda chubby in my pocket, and the screen bevel always makes it hard to hit the X button with the bare finger... So I'll be making a flat front, making it easy to hit the corners and other sliding moves.
PICTURES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the initial prototype. Dead flat front, single piece buttons and plate, except the central confirmation button.
Old case part... Full of scratches, as I've sprayed it all black once, but it went like crap. Nevermore, hah.
The plastic being used for the outside casing. Yes, from old CD cases... They have such a high quality!
Actually they aren't that reflective... Some sanding and car polishing compounds make that baby ;D
Old case in a size comparison
More scratched parts
This is how bad the old spraying went...
My Wizard fully disassembled
Later!
Wow. good luck!

Hey man, I'll be posting pics during the proccess, so if anyone wants to do something similar they'll have some reference.
But it would be a pleasure, surely
More updates on #1
how will you get the keyboard to slide out?
@nateskates , he said that he had removed it because it's damaged. so there will be no keyboard at all. i wonder if absence of the keyboard can make some problems in windows... cause wizard roms have keyboard and now it will be unplugged... anyway, good luck!

I thought about that too, but I have already tested that before this project, and nothing weird happened.
I cannot guarantee that it won't cause any problems, but I presume that Windows was programmed in a way that it "expects" for keyboard events, and not "require" them.
If anyone is watching this, I have disassembled the Wizard again to make the CAD for the new case, to see how everything fits and the exact measures I need
Later!
How's your project? any progress? I can't wait to see it finished
This looks too good to be true , good luck and if you will do it , i will pay you any amount of money to do mine the same.
Hello my friends,
I'm sorry for these days without any updates, but here are some news
I was looking for a good plastic, one that would delivery a highly reflective surface, just as the Diamond... well, found one, so the part I was most worried about is done, lol.
Right now I'm still doing the CAD... everything gotta be very well measured and planned, as any milimeter counts!
Hopefully I will post both the CAD and a pic from the plastic.
@V3R: me too man, just can't wait to see my Wizard in shiny black!
@mat7ey: lol, looks like I will have to get an eBay account
Keep watching
Hi nandobang,
been around here for a while and instandly hoping that you´ll have success in the end - your case is the most beautiful I have ever seen (even compared to any new HTC). Do you have any ideas concerning the "production" - will it be injection molding or rapid prototyping? Nevertheless, please let us know any news....
cheers!
Hello my friends,
I'm so sorry I haven't posted any news til now, but I've been so busy with college and my job at least I'm getting on vacations now!
I've made a few virtual prototypes, measuring stuff, and already got the nice mirror plastic I'll be using.
@elSiko: hey man, thank you! I'll be making a fast prototype, since I don't have any pro tools at my disposal. Brazil sucks at some points =\
I was thinking about some pretty hard epoxi to get all external case parts togheter, and an internal plastic skeleton to hold the PCBs and such... Still figuring out the best way to do all this, but I WILL, lol
Keep watching, since now I have more free time.
Thanks, everyone!
Can you make a version with keyboard, for normal Wizards . Will you sell this case?
Hello my friends,
I finally got some vacations!!! God knows I'm happy, lol!
Well, my Wizzy is lying here, dismantled on my desk, waiting for it's new shell... I'm planning the way things will go inside the case, how to lock everything down, etc. New pics on first post!
What do you think about this name?
HTC Obsidian
The design reminds me of the obsidian vulcanic stone, as it is mirror black.

It sure is possible. In my case the keyboard is damaged, and I wanted a thinner device (without spending so much on a Touch Pro... you wouldn't believe how expensive these things are in Brazil... as a milk box is US$ 2,00 and a Touch Pro is US$ 2000,00... something around that basis)
I'm really considering making these to sell... so many requests.......
Right now, I'm doing a sketch, and then we'll jump into production! \o/
I can tell you that my mouth is watering right now.
Love your concept. I'll be buying one if you manage to finish!

Muito obrigado! You speak portuguese?
While I'm doing the final sketch, I'll give a hint for a little surprise: does anyone ever got tired of the case color?
For everyone who asked me if I would sell this: I'm thinking about it. As soon as I start to produce mine, I'll see how easy or hard it is to make one... Since I don't have any pro tools, would take too long for a "mass" production, lol.
Cheers, and thank you, everyone!
Sim, sou português!
Estou muito ansioso por ver o teu projeto a ganhar forma!
Tens algum blog onde se possa seguir o progresso?
Translation:
Looking forward to see it finished!
Where can we follow the progress?
im kinda sceptic about this, things like volume control will be very difficult to make work. the final work looks too optimistic... keep it up and dont destroy your wizard, sometimes just _GOOD_ paintwork is simpler and looks cool
Hi guys,
Just incase you havent heard.
Powermat support the HD2 now.
http://www.powermat.com/us/receivers/htc/receiver-door-for-htc-hd2.html
Bad news is that its sold out!
you can but the bundle for $59.99 which included the battery door and a powermat
that is not bad at all considering with the tp2 you had to add this bulky backpiece. Might be a good x-mas investment seeing how we have 3 hd2's laying around.
Hi,
Does anyone know if its work with a cover , you know, I mean a hard cover for HD2 ? No interference ?
I just don't get why ppl like this kind of stuff. Don't we get enough RF/EM around us already ? Why add some more, needlessly ?
i want one!!! gimme gimme gimme!!!

kind of like booting android on a winmo phone?
what's gimmicky about it? Being able to charge up to 3 hd2's through 1 plug means less cords on my desk which will make my wife very happy. I have the energizer mat for the wii remotes and it's easy to throw them on the mat after playing to have them recharge.

But, actually, my post wasn't a joke. Those things work like a transformer, the mat got the primary winding, the phone part got the secondary one. Even if nothing is charging, it's just a damn coil plugged into the wall, 'transmitting' the mains frequency into the air, pointlessly. Maybe it is completely harmless, but maybe it isn't. And since i usually charge my phone at night, and keep it nearby, this would mean putting this stupid field emitter just next to my head, just for the sake of not plugging a connector in ? Sorry, but no thanks.

um, you do know that the way these pads work is thru electro-magnetic induction right? basically a oscillating magnet (a magnet that moves or "vibrates") in the pad produces a electric charge in a wire in the cover that coverts the magnetc field into a charge... from my understanding its the oscillation rate that prevents it from affecting anything else but the wire in the cover.. if your afraid of this you might as well be afraid of refrigerator magnets too.. or hell, any electro-magnetic device.. the speaker in the phone, the alternator in your car, your fan...
You have a strange way of representing it (an oscillating magnet ? well, fair enough, an oscillating magnet would certainly create a similar magnetic field).
You are actually correct here, I would NOT want to have an electric motor, a big transformer, alternator, or anything similarly powerful, that emits strong magnetic fields, at about a meter from my head, for an extended period of time, and thats exactly where my phone usually is at nights. Nor i would like a strong DC magnet right next to me all the time. Would you like to be in an MRI room, needlessly ? And, btw, the fact the 'receiver' is tuned to the transmitter frequency doesn't prevent the transmitter from affecting everything else around. Wanna see for yourself ? Try dropping a small metal object on that mat, it should start buzzing on it like crazy, lol. And if it doesn't, the thing probably operates on RF frequencies, that's even worse
PS: The phone speaker and fridge magnets are off the list here for obvious reason, having a very 'low power' fields.
Looking at PowerMat's FAQs, looks like it won't work if you have it in a case. Too bad. Wish it'd work with my otterbox.
Check out the review of the powermat cover for a BlackBerry. Shows it works with a silicon cover

Anybody able to get their hands on one for the HD2 yet?
Got mine from Walmart - $49.97. Kinda touchy about where you place your HD2 on the mat. Plus I can't use my clear case with it because the door is too bubbled out. The good thing is, I can still use velcro on the door. It will make sufficient connection through the velcro.

I could be wrong, but I doubt that it would work through the rubber and plastic of the OtterBoxes.
I wish they had some type of conductive filament that you could put on the inside and outside of the case.

Well.. I would like to try it anyway..
If someone have one of these units, please take some pictures of it in the HD2.

Thanks!
Hello, I want to buy it but I'm in France and the official site does not send to France (and in the French version of the site this product doesn't exist!), on ebay is the same thing!
Someone have another site who can ship it in my country please?
Thanks, I want it!

It's transmitting only a magnetic field. Are you really worried about that?
Reminds me of the NIMBYs who cried about having power cables nearby, then I see 'health magnets' advertised in magazines
What about the phone signal?
And WiFi? TV and Radio transmitters? EMF from power cables? There are many things throwing radio/light/radiation signals at us all day.
EDIT: I just saw your more recent post. Electromagneteic Conduction is the technology used, as stated by the company themselves
Hey all,
I wanted to share with you my progress on a little pet project.
Since Google never got around to releasing their charging dock for the N10, I thought I'd have a bit of a play and see if I could come up with one myself. Fortunately, having access to 3D printers at work, I can!
It's designed to work with the fantastic Pogo charger available on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B2166BS/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And I'm offering this as a free download to anyone that wants it, to go and print it themselves. File is the the widely used .stl format.
Ignore the scummy white crap in some of the pictures - I hadn't fully cleaned it yet!

I have designed it to work with the magnetic charger available on Amazon, and it is designed it to fit around this case, which it does:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AD6W57W/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am more than happy to draw up an alternate version with a thinner slot, for those who go caseless. Let me know if you would like me to draw this up!
Notes on building it:
The charging port fits VERY snugly, but that's kind of the point. Once it's in, it's in!
The hole underneath is so you can then feed the USB cable back through the unit. It is necessary to avoid having an ugly, trailing wire.
Any failures, damage, mishaps, injuries or deaths that you suffer as a result of this project I claim no responsibility for, I'm just trying to help you out!
Please let me know what you think, all feedback is welcome and I'm happy to redesign as necessary!

can you convert it to STEP file or IGS?
It looks great. But why create it so thick? Wouldn't it print faster and cheaper if this is thin-wall out? Maybe create a screw slot to screw in a metal plate to make it feel more solid.
How much did it cost you to print that? I don't see how the Pogo cable get fix in so it won't move around.
How much did it cost you for the 3d printing? Im taking an engineering class and I might be able to do this as one of the projects next semester.

You are indeed correct. Most 3D-print shops will be able to print it 'sparse', in as such that they can build the inner with a honeycomb structure, saving time and materials. As for costs - no idea I'm afraid - I'm lucky enough to be able to do projects like this for free!

No problem - if you have a specific case with a different thickness then send me the dimensions - I'd be happy to draw an alternate with a different sized slot for you!
As an FYI -
both UPS (in 4 pilot cities - NYC, SF, ...) and Shapeways.com can quote you to print it
Both quotes are in the neighborhood of $200-250...
So yeah - i think its a great idea, but one would have to really put on a thinking cap in order to hollow out/redesign it in a way to use far less material. to get it down to what I would think is a reasonable price point (~$50)

I have seen this price as well, but I think it should be cheaper for a hollow version (price found on plastikliebe.de).

which program did you use to make the model?
I have a FabLab with open workshop here in Nuremberg with 3D printers.
If i understand it right i must only pay for the material.
I wil go on Friday or Saturday in and check this.

Hey, thank you for this! I had started to model one but wasn't making good progress then I saw this and it is perfect! I just got a Makerbot Replicator 2 for the Robotics Club at my school and my teacher said he would start the print before he left school today, but in the software for it, we chose to do a hexagonal infill to save time and filament but it is still estimated to take 6 hours. I hope it will not be too light due to it being hollow, but I will post pictures and impressions tomorrow. Thank you again!

The honeycomb infill is exactly how I designed it to be made - as you can see from previous posts the costs for a solid model are outrageous!
It took me about 6 hours to make it too.
The weight is quite light, but not so light that you send it flying when you prod the screen, so I think it's about right!
Works Great! Thanks!
Hey, I got the stand 2 days ago and its been pretty good so far. It cost about $6 to make and took about 6 hours and 45 minutes to print. It is hollow so it is very light and does get lifted up when I pick up the tablet but I'm working on a fix for that. My main complaint is when I put the cable through it was such a tight fit I can barely say it did. I ended up damaging some areas and edges using tools to push, pull, and force the damned thing through. Right now the charging part is slightly angled and I cant pull it out or push it in further to level it. The last picture attached kind of shows the honey comb fill. All in all I'm glad I printed it and thanks to Jonnug for designing it, it works even without a case on it. Thanks!
