Wifi unavailable - Mogul, XV6800 General

Hello.
I have a HTC Mogul with Custom ROM and has this problem.
I can see on the Registry Key WIFI on HKLM\System\State\Hardware always stays in 3, no hardware switch modifies the value and i can not connect or search for WiFi Networks.
Do you have any advise?
I have tried lots of ROMS and the idea i have is that the WMWiFiRouter is causing the problem. Checked for at least 3 weeks now for a solution but no idea and this is why i am posting here.
I am looking for original 6.0 or 6.1 ROM to test, anyone with this issue?
WindowsMobile 6.5 Professional
Build 21885.5.3.00
Radio 3.42.02
ROM RM 3.2

Change the key to 1.

verizons windows mobile 6.1 and wmwifirouter

Has anybody upgraded to the windows mobile 6.1 and been able to get WMwifirouter to work? If you had problems getting wmwifirouter to work with the new verizon windows mobile 6.1, were you able to get it to work? Please explain how you were able to get it working if its possible. I am thinking of upgraded the windows mobile but am thinking that verizon might have done something to the software that wont allow internet sharing.
No problems here, when the power went out and so did cable due to the hurricane I was using it successfully on DCD 3.2.6 which is wm 6.1, radio 3.37.75, on an xv6800. Wifi Router version 0.91. All I did was install the cab file and made sure my wifi switch on the left hand side was turned on and ran the app.:
I have a VZW XV6800 w/ the MR1 update. I think if you want to get WMWifiRouter to work you also need to install the ICS tool since Verizon doesn't include that on their phones.

Did you initially have to manually setup your adhoc connection?
I currently have the original windows mobile 6.0 and have wmwifirouter .91 installed. WMwifirouter works fine with this setup. What my questions is , if I upgrade to windows mobile 6.1, will I lose the ability to use wmwifirouter?

6.1 and wifirouter working good. Did install ics tool first.
Where did you download the ICS tool from for the Verizon XV6800?
I have seen quite a few posts about needing ICS without Cooked ROM's but haven't seen where to download.

noob needs help
hello all. well, i upgraded my xv6800 to wm6.1 and lost my the ICS software i had installed last year (don't remember what steps i had done). I want to reinstall it and tried using the zip file posted above but could not get it to work. anyone willing to give me a step by step on how to install. sorry for the stupid questions.
I just installed the ICS with the attached CAB file. Just load it onto your phone somewhere and run it. It will restore ICS back to your phone.
Current ICS Install File
The post date for the last ICSInstall.CAB file is April 2007. Since it is now almost two years later, does anyone know if the ICSInstall.cab file posted in April 2007 is the current version to use in March 2009 on a Verizon (Samsung) i910 running Windows Mobile 6.1? Could anyone direct me to the current version? Thanks all.

New Rom for Dash 3g on T-mobile's site

Does anyone know if the rom (Version 1.17.531.6) available for download at T-mobile's site has WM6.5 on it?
where? I couldn't find it.
if it says anything about being the HTC issued hotfix for system hang, it does not have the 6.5 in it.
No its not 6.5, just a couple bug fixes and better 3G switching
October 6 on the stock ROM upgrade is the rumor
note: rumor
It would be good if we can get just the RADIO rom out of this........would maybe fix some of those dropped calls I am experiencing.
Go here, post #3. Follow ALL instructions and HardSPL!! This is the Radio from the latest Dash3G ROM.

update rom
Hi is there a way to update my dash 3g to the new Version 1.17.531.6 from my phone directly
thanks
negative. It's an executable that runs from a host pc. you just need to have activesync installed on that machine (if it's XP), or any machine with vista or 7 should be able to do it.

TouchFlo email tab

Hello. I've looked everywhere for this but couldn't find a solution. Currently I can only update my e-mail tab on touchflo via wi-fi. I was wondering if anyone knew a fix for enabling it to update via the data connection (3G/HSDPA). I'm running a 6.5.5 ROM, and I don't know if I recall correctly but I think that with the stock ROM I used to be able to do this. Maybe it's a registry that needs to be modified or maybe there's a cab that someone knows about. Any help will be appreciated
my guess is your rom messed up your settings........go to start-settings-connections-connections-advanced tab-select network-change bouth of those to your curent connections provider (orrange internet is mine)

destinator 7 fails when sim is installed on HD2

Hi guys,
I 'm facing a very weird problem. I own a HTC HD2. I have installed Destinator 7. When the SIM card is not installed (or the SIM is physically installed but I don't provide the PIN) destinator works fine. When I enter the PIN for the SIM, so my phone connects to the mobile phone provider, Destinator software fails to start. The destinator's logo appears on the screen and HTC halts. Power-off button doesn't work and I had to press the hard reset (red pin at the back). I have ran many tests and the conclusion is always the same - Destinator halts when SIM is installed. Does anybody else had a similar behavior? Any ideas for further troubleshooting are welcome.
thanx.
I have both destinator 7 and igo8 on my hd2 and both work without any problems, do you have a branded hd2?
Hi Mathie,
thank you for your reply. My HTC is not branded or somehow locked (I hope). I 'm running the original ROM v. 1.66.482.1 ELL, O/S 5.2.21869, manila 2.5.19211619.0, RF 2.06.51.07. My service provider is Cosmote. I 'm not sure if this information helps, but I cannot think ANY reason why destinator hangs when the telephone SIM is installed.
Is there any possibility the GPS receiver to get a conflict with A-GPS ? I' d rather say no...
N-drive at the other hand, works fine, it's an excellent program, but I 'm get used to Destinator.

have you tried to put another sim card in your phone? wind, or vodafone? and see if the problem insists? have you tried to update quick gps? have you changed the com ports? (by default destinator 7 uses com port 4)
Hello again.
I have tried to perform the following tests.
1) I have replaced cosmote SIM with Vodafon one. I destinator has the same behavior.
2) I turned off RF radio (airplane mode). Destinator works fine but of course I cannot use HTC as a mobile phone.
3) I have formated the entire flash (CF) and create only the destinator directory. The problem persists.
4) I 'm not sure if quick GPS interacts with Destinator, but since you 've mentioned it I run quickGPS version 1.3 (built 1920.2423)
Destinator has been set up to use com4. If I don't register to a Mobile Provider (or RF is dissabled) the program runs fine, otherwise the startup logo fills 9 out of the 10 red arrows and stacks there.
thanks once more for your time.
where did you buy your phone? are you using a stock rom or a cooked one? I am using this rom here and all is well,no problems at all if the problem persists download the above rom and flash your phone with it. i'm sorry but some things get messed up if your rom is not well installed i can't help any more.
Hi again,
thanks for your answer. I 've checked the rom link you 've mentioned. I 'm already running ROM v. 1.66.482.1 ELL. I got the HTC from a recent offer of Vodafon. They sponsor a 450 Euros discount for the device, and HTC HD2 was in the list. I have not flashed the phone yet, since I already have the latest release. I 'll get a full backup and I 'll try to flash it, just to see if that will fix the problem. I 'll post my findings.
thanks.
Hello,
I have good news. I have re-installed the original ROM v. 1.66.482.1 ELL as you have suggested and Destinator 7 works FINE. I still cannot figure out what could of being wrong, with my original same version ROM, but when I re-flashed to the one downloaded from here http://www.htc.com/gr/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=863 the problem is gone.
Thanks once again for your valuable suggestions.

[Q] 3G mobile internetz does not work.... seriously

Hey everyone.
I'm using European Version HD2:
WinMo: Latest chucky lite rom
Android: Latest Cyanogen based Build (hyperdroid 1.7) with alternative Hastarin 8.5 (oldcam) kernel and Latest Radio (2.15.50)
So...
I'm satisfied with stability (no issues except one I'm asking about).
But...
3G/Edge/anyInternetz just does not work... Checked the APN settings and they're the same as in WinMo (in WinMo this thingie DOES work).
maybe i'm Doin' something wrong: Disable wifi, enable data, enable 3G... It just does not connect, and, apparently when I try to use connection (being precise: the lack of it) somehow it says that there is no internet on the device.
The history was: winmo:3.14(rus)+latest radio+HypDr1.7->Chucky+L.R.+HypDr1.7 and I only used mobile internetz recently, because I tweaked this build over WiFi, and so forgot to check if it worked in any configuration
Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it because its only 1 thing in this cmbo that does not work (battery is fine and kernel terminated screen freezes), Thank YOU!!
If you need any additional info, you'll get it
UPD: Checked with another sim from different carrier, same result
UPD: Tried the workaround with empty apn, didnt work also
must be a problem with Radio or wimo most builds have a stable 3g conecction im using phiremod with no 3g problems.
my Radio is 2_12_50_02_2 and wimo ChuckyDroidROM.
I used MDJ froyo sense clean some time earlier with 2.15 radio and it was fine =(
dammit fellas :O
Reflashed to 2.12 Radio just to be sure, same situation, I'm almost 100% sure something is wrong with some other related options in android, can anyone tell me where to check them and, better, how to set them up correctly. Heard something about *#*#4636#*#*, will be good if anyoune could tell me anything about it

Obviously you will dance or you can and find that the song isn't ending...and then you will start playing with the kernels.....

Does it connect at all, even for 2 seconds?
go to website of your carrier and get the settings.
If not, get back here - we sort it for you.
matt
tried "data_conn=ppp" in your startup.txt ??
yea sounds like he may be using an RMNET build with Hastarin's Kernel which is PPP
Thx for the replies... finally
1st: I've started playing with kernels and foundout that Hastarin 8.5.1 oldcam IS indeed (incompatible??) causing trouble with Internet
2nd:I went to the web site somewhere between 2nd or 3rd day of my soul searching But settings were the same, and i tried creating a new apn and setting it for default, and NO, It does NOT connect at all..
3rd: No, I haven't, will try, thanks
4th: Why is this an RMNET build if on its page it says: "Known Issues: Dropped Mobile Data Connections due to buggy PPP" then i'd assume it HAS the ppp and not RMNET, cuz this word was not found in this page by Opera
And again, help is much apreciated

does it need "set cmdline"? I will try assuming it does, til you answer, thanks again=)
Tried this cmdline, stuck on the screen which shows up after "Jumping to kernel" and says guess what? "htc" Idk, but when i tried to change wifi mac with set cmdline "wifi.mac=12:34:56:78..." it did the same: never boot
