Have you recently flash a ROM? If so, then this may be a commonly known side-effect, cause by having the connection setup wizard running in the background. If this is the case, using the comm manager, switch to airplane mode. You may need to restart afterwards but it should just bring up the setup wizard. Just complete the process and your problem should disappear.
Hope this helps
Awesome, worked! Thank you so much!
Everytime I turned the phone off I could see the setup wizard running and I did think it could be that, but couldn't find a way of switching to it.
Thanks again!

So I am having this new problem ever since I have data. When it is connected, which is all the time, it takes ~3-4 seconds to actually answer a phone call after pressing the answer button. If i turn off data, picks right up. anyone else ever have a problem answering calls with data connected?
If you dont have problems, can you please comment that you dont so i know other people's phones are working. thanks
Slow to answer calls
I am having the same problem. I noticed it first when I installed the 3.16 rom with GPS so wondered if that was the culprit.
i think it is occurring when you are connected to data. i turned it off and works better, but i dont want to have to turn my data off i just started paying for it and love having it.

I recently started seeing this also.
I'll try turning the data off and see if it goes away.
By chance do you have Advance Configuration installed?

I do as well...
Perhaps I'll try uninstalling and see if there's a change. Or is this something else I should know?
well...i did a hard reset, installed everything BUT the advance configuration thing...all working great. Plus i had a problem with the backlight being disabled, now that works fine. guess that Schaps Advance configuration program screws up a lot. Thanks for thinking of it
Mine was doing the same thing and I looked all over and found in ppcgeeks that several people found that advanced configuration was the cause. You have to do a hard reset. I unistalled it and did a hard reset and installed all the same programs except that and bam the issue was fixed. What a pitty because I praise Schaps Advanced configuration. It makes it a lot easier to change settings. I am not sure of the exact issue or if it has been fixed but not installing it fixed my issue.
I cant find the link that I read before, but here is a link that states it too. Do a backup of your phonedo a hard reset install all the apps but Advanced Config and see if it helps. Worst case restore the backup.

or

I'm having the same issues.
Delay only happens when data is active.
Running DCD 2.3.1, Radio 3.27, and I do have Advanced configuration installed.
I cooked in Advanced Config, so I have to reflash to take it out. If you find an easier way of isolating the problem I'd love to hear it. Otherwise I'll have to flash with nothing and add slowly till I determine the culprit.
I think I’ve solved the Bluetooth problem that everybody seems to be having.
After changing this registry setting below, my Bluetooth have not switched off on me once.
Hope this helps

Looks like it could definitely help! I'm imagining this is translated to something like "Do NOT control the power state of Bluetooth".
I'll make the reg change, reboot, and report my findings after a couple of days. I usually ran into the Bluetooth switching off problem after having Wi-Fi enabled.
Thanks for this!
I have no problems with enabling WI-Fi since I applied this reg setting. I’ve also noticed that if you switch your Bluetooth off and back on again the reg setting that is applied defaults back to the original setting, so it will have to be set again

Thanks for sharing as I am experiencing the same problem of Bluetooth turning off every time I reboot my phone.
Sent in my phone to the Local Service Centre and they reflash the ROM but still encounter same problem.
I even bought another X1 to try it out and still same problem so it is confirm that it is the firmware problem not just my phone.

That also makes sense, i suppose it's just a status entry then...too bad. I just hope that the eventual fix from SE is in a .cab package so that we don't have to reflash. My unbranded ROM is running sooo perfect right now...with the exception of this very common issue!
It seems that the Bluetooth does not always stay on as I experience it being turn off if I go into the Connection/Bluetooth/Mode menu.
Does that mean that we do not go into the menu to check on the settings then it will not be turn off again?

Yes, really hope that the next ROM upgrade will resolve such issue as I heard that the SE Team already know of this bug.

Hi!
The problem of mine that Buetooth Hedset buttons (play/pause, ffd) wake it up the telephone from a sleeping manner. How is it possible to repair this?
Thank You!
I've just done a ROM upgrade to 1.66.707.1, and now my Wifi connection kees enabling itself.
I'm sure that I missed something to make it not connect, but what?
Anyone here who might have a clue what it could be?
Thank you.
Hmm that sounds like something I have seen before. I had a similar issue when I had the hd2 12 button action screen installed. Do you have that?

No.. I've not installed that.
I'm also not using Stocks, Weather, Internet time sync and so on, and I thing that if I would, the phone would use the gprs option.
Tomorrow, I'll re check all applications that I'm running to see if I've missed a setting.
Im just curious.
When you disable/enable wifi do you use the comm.manager or another program???

Switch the phone into airplane mode (in the comm manager) and the startup wizard should popup. Just run through that process.

Maybe put it in airplane mode and restart it. It sounds like the issue that some others have had after installing 1.66. It runs the setup wizard in the background, and that automatically starts wifi. My biggest concern if this is the case is that your phone isn't set up to work on the network yet.
Try it anyway and see how you get on.

Okay.. I've put it in "Airplane mode", turned off and back on the phone.
Still not setup wizard.
Did the same thing again and soft reset. Still no setup wizard.
I'm going to give it some more runs, but if no luck I will install an other ROM (custom one), to see if my problem is gone.
I'll report back if I know more.
Thank you for your input.
re: isn't set up to work on the network yet
It is.. All my network connections are working fine.
I think is an issue of Wifi Toggle.
I had the same issue and stopped using it.

Hi everyone, I had a quick question I needed your assistance on.
Sometime I put my N1 into Airplane mode to save battery and when I finally turn airplane mode off I can never seem to get a data connection unless I totally shut off the phone and turn it back on again. Coming out of Airplane mode there will be a 3g signal on the status bar but only the up arrow will light up and anything needing data (browser, market, etc) wont work unless I totally shut off the phone and turn it back on again. Is this happening to you too?
The same thing happens if I open up the Quick Settings app and turn off mobile data (to save battery) and when I turn mobile data back on I have to restart the phone entirely for it to work properly.
It seems like my phone might be having an issue with data connection so I might have to call up HTC about it but I wanted to find out from the other members on the forum if this was happening to them too.
Thank you for your help
It's happened to me before using APNdroid.
Apparently you can fix it by turning the radio on and off in the testing menu (*#*#4636#*#), never tried it though.
Check that:

Hi,
To be clear there is no problem if 3G is running, it doesn't drop.
The problem is that sometimes I unlock the phone and 3G doesn't connect at all.
So I checked:
1- The APN setting are correct.
2- I reinstalled the internet setting automatically.
3- I don't have a task killer.
4- I deleted juiceDefender.
5- The only way to get the 3G back is to restart the phone.
How to solve this? I don't know why does it happen, and if I restart the phone every thing goes back to normal!
* My phone is rooted ..
Thanks ..

I had this same problem, too. I fixed it by reinstalling JuiceDefender, making sure it was disabled and then uninstalling it. I found that if you un installed JD while it was 'active' causes the phone to stuff up the APN somehow.

I made sure JuiceDefender was disabled before I uninstalled it ..
* by the way, I'm also using "optus" .. can they be the problem?

I have completely lost my 3G connection and don't know why! The only thing i did was download an update for Handcent. I have switched off my phone and removed my sim card, etc. but still no 3G. When i enter the APN section my connection reads:
_DISABLED_payandgo.o2.co.uk
I have no idea what could have disabled this but i did delete the _DISABLED_ from the address but still no success.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards

Hi! I have just managed to reconnect to 3G having performed the following procedure:
Within the APNs section of mobile network settings press the left hand button with the four squares. This should bring up two options 'New APN' and 'Reset to Default'. As soon as I pressed 'reset to default' my 3G was instantly restored.
Hope this helps others experiencing similar problems.
Kind regards
Scott
Hi,
I managed to reconnect the 3G too! By changing the Network mode to GSM only, then back to GSM/WCDMA ..
But why does it happen in the first place!?
