Resco Keyboard Pro problem - HD2 General

I have the Keyboard pro and really like it, but I have one big problem.
When I create a new sms I and start to type in the name of the person I want to txt nothing happens when using the resco keyboard.
If I use the standard HTC it will search names and list them.
Anyone got a solution for this ??

I also have this problem and havent found a solution, except that if i delete 1 letter after typing it my contact list pops up ! but a little annoying

any quick way to send SMS ??

I've just got a JAMin recently and I'm pretty happy with it, except I can't find a good bit of software that can send sms's easily.
Basically I can send sms's much more easily on a nokia phone, I'm looking for something like a friendly UI to send sms's, any suggestions.
Jamin is flashed with latest rom and a nice big 4gb sdcard for music
Oh, I should say thanks to evryone on this forum for helping me understand alot of stuff. eg I've got A2DP running as well with the patch using Nokia HS-12W works perfectly
Try the WM5 "new menu" .. or something like that.
Have already tried the "Phone Pad" input panel instead of the default soft keyboard? Using T9 on S200 my SMS writing is much less slower than using standard keyboard on screen, but it's not as fast as my N80.
The phone pad is okay to type.. But I would really like to have a Danish version of the wordbook... Anyone knows how to get different languages for that?
try tengo thumbpad or the normal tengo keypad, i think its super fast with some practise.
yeah thanks ump, after trying just about every method, I settled on tengo thumb, seems the best for me
default input
Can anyone let me know how can I change the default input mode to the phone pad from the keyboard. Basically whenever I reset my device, it goes to the keyboard as the default input. I would like to change this so that the phone pad is the default and I don't need to change it everytime.
Thank you,
Gaurav Jain
There is a new version of TenGo (v2.1), it supports multiple languages! You try it first before buying
In the option menu you can set TenGo to be the default SIP
Well, i write SMS quite often and i can say that i feel like the qwerty on screen keyboard is FASTEST as long as you're used to it. Can give me about 200 symbols per minute.
I second that. Tengo is the best for me and its really easy to use and learn.
open a file via notepad
write
01#"\windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" -to "name <+90555xxxxxxx>" -body "your message here"
save file as file_name.lnk copy it to your device than run it via file explorer your mesaage will popup and tap on send.
thats it.

SMSThreading - Speed problem!

I've used allmost every registry hack available to increase the speed of TouchFlo.. And I has worked.
Just not the Text Messaging. When i scroll over to the tab messages, I can see my messages and scroll through them.
No speed problem here. But it is when I wan't to ANSWER to a message, and I press on the message,
It takes 5 seconds before the keypad appears and another 5 seconds before the actual "typing box" appears where I can't see our "SMS conversation"
How do I increase the speed? WITHOUT disabling SMSThreading.
Doesn't anyone have a solution to this problem?
i've also noticed this, and at times there is a 1/2 second delay when typing, the characters taking a wee while to appear on screen as you type. Its irritating, but thats about all. would be nice if someone did have some way of speeding up sms, its the main function on the phone for me.
Cheers

You can forward messages by using the DPAD up to highlight the message you want to forward, and hit the right soft key(options?) and hit forward.

Autocomplete working for anyone?

I have set up all the options for Autocomplete in Settings/Input. I've chosen to NOT use T9 but the regular Windows Mobile autocomplete. It doesn't seem to work at all - I get no list of words appearing inany apps - SMS, email or Word.
Anyone else having the same problem or has anyone got this feature working OK?
Try a soft reset.
yes it does work

i had a similar problem but got help from a very nice member on here unfortunately am at work but what you want to do is search under the posts i started on the forum and find the one i think its entitled letter recognition when typing contacts and if you follow that thread you will be sorted because that's how i got help and if you cant find the thread pm me then all look it up for you
OK - a bit more playing around and I realise that neither auto complete or autocorrect work with the full QWERTY keyboard if T9 is turned off. But they both work fine with the compact QWERTY. Soft reset didn't help though.
Could someone out there test this combination please?

WinMob 6.5 Input issue

Hi,
I installed the 6.5 rom on my Hermes/TYTN but have some input issues.
When entering text something very annoying happens.
After typing the first or second character of a word the cursor always jumps back one or two places, as result the rest of the word is put in front of the first character(s).
For example, if I want type "handheld", I get this result "ndheldHa".
As you understand this is very annoying and I have to pay attention every time.
This occurs in almost every application (Agenda, Tasks, Excel, ...) but it never happens with the first word, only on the next ones.
The only application which is not affected is SMS (fortunately).
I already tried changing the input, keyboard and dictionary options but did not find a solution.
Does anyone has a clue how to resolve this ?
Couldn't find any trace on Google or the forum either ...
Thanks in advance
i got the same problem here

Silly T9/SIP problem, my SIPs have minds of their own...

Hi Guys,
Up until only recently… I had been using Swype as my SIP on my HD2. It wasn’t perfect, but it was tolerable. What wasn’t tolerable was the issues I had using the WM SMS client, instead of the HTC SMS Client. So after so many issues with the WM client, I switched back to the defauly HTC client. This makes Swype even less useable, as in the HTC SMS client… you cannot double-tap words to select them, and when using Swype, the best way to correct typos is the double-tap method.
So, I tried out ShapeWriter and SlideIT, bother were ok… I seemed to have more success with ShapeWriter on day, and SlideIT the next. But in the end… I got tired of the un-reliability of both and went on a SIP search.
This search led me to Resco Keyboard Pro… which I must say, had been quite brilliant. Big buttons, fast typing response, nice interface, good feature set, etc.
After usind Resco quite happily for a few weeks… I began to notice a silly reoccurring problem, that built to be quite frustrating. It seems that something is forcing the keyboard to input letters… that I may no want there.
- When i type words beginning with 'im' Resco Keyboard automatically adds 'ho' as the next two letters. For example: if i type impossible... i get imhopossible. imagine gives me imhoagine. etc.
- Another problem word is “month”. I can type the “m”, “o”, “n”, and “t” all fine… but as soon as I hit “h”… recso wants to enter “mosth” as the primary word choice. “Month” isn’t even a selectable second option. The only way for me to type “month”, is to intentionally mis-spell it, and have the auto-spell-correction fix it for me. I have to type “mobth” or “momth”or “minth” to get the SIP to enter “month”
Just as I am typing this post… I have realized that the problem isn’t localized to Resco Keyboard Pro. FingerKeyboard2 also has the same issues… which suggests the issue is with my phone, rather than the SIPs.
HTCs defauls SIPs have no issue getting the words correct… but they are soooo sluggish.
Can anyone help with this weird problem?
well... after a couple of hard resets, and a couple of ROM flashes to a few different ROMs, the problem remains. i think the cause might be the version of Resco Keyboard Pro that im using (v6.00)... once i install that, the problem begins, then even after uninstalling RKP, i still get the issue on FingerKeyboard (but not on the HTC SIP).
i guess ill just have to wait for an update for Resco Keyboard.
cheers.
