You need to use either USPL or HSPL to flash a rom, follow this guide and you'll be fine, and post further flashing queries within that thread.

I have htc polaris (pola100)
but I unwillingly flash spl version 3.13.000 but now doesn't go anythink flash,
don't go flash anythink other spl version (1.25.0000, 1.28.0000)

You had to flash the original ROM of your Polaris before flashing the Original SPL.
Can you get the tricolor screen?
I have original spl but after I flash hard-spl v2 and flash not original rom,but this rom was very bad.
So I would back my original wm6.1 rom htc, so i find original three original spl (1.25.0000 1.28.0000 3.13.0000) I flash spl 3.13.000 but now doesnt flash anythink anythink spl and anythink rom

Default Problems installing HardSPL
Hi,
I have installed the last official version on WM6.1 on my htc, now i want to install one custom rom from this forum.
I tryed to istall first HardSPL, but i don't know why, the process get stuck at 0% of the istall and never continue.
In the 3 color screen appear:
POLA100
SPL-3.13.0000
CPLD-2
Someone can help me?

Here is what I do and what happens when I try to use HARD-SPL V2:
1) I connect the USB cable and the writing on the device changes from "serial" to "USB"
2) I run romupdateutility
3) I check "I understand..." + next
4) I check "I completed..." + next
5) on the PC a message "verifying the information on your PDA phone, please wait" appears and after a while the device switches to a screen with a progress bar at 0%, while on the PC the following message appears:

I tried flashing different SPLs (even the two original ones) with the same problem. If I try to flash a ROM I get the ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID"
after 1% progress.
I HAVE SAME PROBLEM
I think you must wait Olipro or another chef here to say you how to refalsh SPL with 2.40 version in command line
You can try to flash you original ROM via SD-Card.
what is the solution ? I have the same problem with :

I have had a couple of ROMS on my phone and wis to get it back stock, for a couple of reasons, mainly because there are certain features of each ROM I like but some I dont so am going to play around with finding those individual parts and build up from stock.
I have run HardSPL dropping in the RUU_signed.nbn as instructed during the first window when HardSPL extracts itself, then performed hard reset. The tri-colour screen shows SPL: 1.14.000 however the OS is still set up like the last Dutty I had on there with the start menu and tabs as they were set.
My question is: Have I done anything right and how do I get completely back to the stock settings?

To get back to the stock rom, you will need to reflash your phone with that rom

Ok, went to afore mentioned link, downloaded RUU_BlackStone_HKCSL_WWE_1.19.831.0_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship.exe
Ran the update, phone goes to tri-colour screen with:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.14.0000
MicroP-Blackstone (LED) v6
The software on PC and scroll bar on PC both hit 1% before it errors out, sometimes a connection error, this latest time it was an Error 294 - Invalid Vender ID.
I think I need a lil help through this one, have clearly gone wrong somewhere?

I am running Miri_WM65_21501_V8.2_Premium with hardSPL 1.56 and have been trying to flash Miri_WM65_21222_V10.0_Premium. When I try and flash using the SD card the bootloader starts ok and "Loading..." appears on the screen but no progress is made.
When I try flashing via the PC the progress bar appears but never gets past 0%, eventually the process times out and I remove the battery and can reboot the phone fine.
I have tried various different ROMs, including the 8.2 version that I am running and the latest ROM from Dutty and get the same result everytime. Other than the ROM upgrade issue the phone is working fine.
Any help appreciated

What does your bootloader say? SPL-1.56.OliNex?
Sorry, my mistake on the SPL version it is 1.54
The bootloader says:
SPL-1.54.0000

I upgraded from 1.14 a couple of weeks ago for the Miri ROM.

If your bootloader says 1.54.0000 you haven't got HSPL or USPL installed on phone.
All you need to do is either flash HSPL or USPL before flashing new rom

I cant find a solution how can i falsh my Blackstone. I found out i have to use Hard SPL. But when i downloaded it i get RUU Error [294] : INVALID VENDOR ID. I unlocked this phone alreay with buying code online and it seems to work fine with T-Mobile CZ sim card.

calm down there champ, you're just using the ROM for the wrong region.
go to the HTC support site and find your correct ROM for your region with your IMEI number and flash it, you don't need a gold card.

thanks for reply I hop you are right but how can I find the correct ROM by my IMEI I saw just the serial number and when I enter my serial number they told me that the ROM is not suitable with my device

Calm down mate
The possible reason is the rom you tried to flash is not the. CORRECT STOCK ROM.
Go to HTC website to download unbranded hd2 rom or go to your carrier website for a branded hd2.
Else, you should check your micro sd condition

Hello, i have HD2 from Europe unbranded and alredy instaled HardSPL cottula.
but i mistake and flash with HD2 T-Mobile US rom - RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship and stuck on 9% with red line.
now i flash other eu rom RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship but always stuck on 9% also tried with other rom same :/
can any body help me, this is software err not hardware right?
