If bt fails after installing tomtom , delete or rename these files and do a soft reset:
\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll
Copy all the installed TomTom files to your SD Card, Hard reset your device and start TomTom from your SD Card!
Tomtom destroys some bluetooth files.. thats the way i made it working on mine!

You need to remove some files from TomTom, can't remember what files though. But try the search, it's out there somewhere.

Maybe this thread can help!

Hi mate there are a few threads that cover this problem, i can confirm that copying over some bluetooth files into startup works, but only if you run tomtom off your memory card.

Hi any help is appreciated... Ive finally got my TT5.1 to work following the other threads in this forum, however the problem I have now is that it keeps closing after a minute or so..??!! I have read through other posts and some have said this is linked to the POIs, I have disabled them and tested but the same thing..??! I have done a clean install and even tried instaling to the storage card but same prob.. I used to have this prob after upgrading my XDA2s to WM5 but a reinstall fixed it..
Any ideas please..
UPDATE:
READ BELOW FOR RESOLUTION I FOUND AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH...
FINALLY FIXED... TOMTOM 5 WORKING PERFECTLY......
OK, AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THE PROBLEM OF TOM TOM CLOSING UNEXPECTEDLY IS RELATED TO THE READING OF THE MAPS ON THE SD CARD ... SO I DELETED THE MAPS AND COPIED THEM OVER TO THE CARD AGAIN.. AND HEY... IT WORKS FINE NOW... TO SUMMARISE HOWTO GET TT5 WORKING PERFECTLY WITH WM5....
1--- TO GET THE COM PORTS RECOGNISED READ THIS ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=28386
BUT THIS TIME DONE HARD RESET (CLEAR STORAGE IN START- PROGRAMMES) THIS WILL WIPE YOUR EXEC.. INSTALLED TT5 FROM SCRATCH , THEN FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE..
BUT THIS BIT IS CRUCIAL.. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MIN BEFORE THINKING IT HASNT WORKED... AND DONT GO BACK THINKING IT HASNT WORKED (AND DONT CHANGE THE SETTINGS BACK TO COM 7 IN TT5 GPS... ) EVENTUALLY YOU SHOULD SEE THE GPS STATUS COME ON WITH THE BARS ...
MAKE SURE YOU DONT TRY ANY OTHER PATCHES / CHANGES BEFORE DOING THIS ...
2---- DELETE ANY MAPS YOU CURRENTLY HAVE ON YOUR SD CARD AND COPY THEM OVER AGAIN...
3--- DO SOFT RESET AND EVERYTHING SHOULD BE OK NOW...
hello,
can anyone tell me hoe to get igo8 to work ?
i've installed it, but it doesn't start ..
i've tried igo2006 but it doesn't work aswell..
i can't get them to start at all...
thanks
...
hello, in my jade igo 2008 perfectly. Have you configured it?.
i don't know how..
i've copied the 2277 and igo folders to my card, run the autorun, and copied the crack to the jade..
what else must i do ?
thanks.
You have to try more versions, for me running 8.0.0.49545 and 8.3.1.xxxxx, but I have problem with fixing satellites, it is periodically fixed and unfixed in 1 sec period... Only sometimes fixed ok :-(
i don't think it's a version problem, because igo 2006 does the same thing..
i don't know how to configure them...
can anyone tell me what i have to do after i've installed the programs ?
Igo2006 nor running under wm6.1, some patch exists, but I didn't try them. I never install Igo, only copy it to sd card, you have check the right path in sys.txt
[folders]
app="Internal Storage/iGO8"
i've tried that, still doesn't work..
Victor, what version of iGO8 are you trying to run. Version 8.0.0.49545 is definately working on my Jade with only one major caveat: switching off the display (by pressing the top button) causes communication failure with the GPS and requires a restart of iGO8 in order to rediscover the GPS.
thanx a lot for your help..
i finally managed to crack it , and it works just fine..
@victorpagu May be you had problems with licenses?
Maybe you should read more than 5 words... And with this patch running only Igo2006+
Work! Attached the pictures.
I got igo8 to work..
I don't know what the problem was..Probably the license or the data archive..
Thanks for your help !
And you sure it is Igo2006, not 2006+? I test patched Igo and working, but it is latest Igo 2006+ with new developed patch for Diamond due to wm6.1!
Alekss_UH, how did you solve fix and an unfix problem with GPS each second?
I have TT v7.9 and iGO 8.3.1.57021 and both have the same problem with GPS in my JADE.
Don't know how to solve...
I just installed TomTom and I lost Bluetooth, then I uninstalled TomTom but now my bluetooth don't work.
After some research I found that the problem was in 2 files that Tomtom copys:
BtCoreIf.dll
BtSdkCE30.dll
Can some one get me this 2 original files please so I can restore them without having to make a hard reset.
Thanks.
I made the same mistake some days ago.
Your FM radio does also not work anymore.
The only way I managed to fix "all" the problems was by doins a factory reset.
Can't seem to get the FM Radio to work, the application seems to be busy when starting-up then crashes soon after (just closing down with no errors). has anyone else experienced these issues on the HD2.
thanks
Did you install TomTom?
Radio crashes and
I installed TotTom but the radio didnt work before that, any suggestions.
I even have problem with bluetoth, cant start bt.
After reestart It say:
BTTrayce is not a valid pocketPc-program. And i really need btoth.
\\ Spacetower
Once you installed TomTom, and even removed it, you will keep having this problem.
TomTom updated the BtCoreIf.dll and BtSdkCE30.dll with their own, and will cause the BT and for some reason FM radio not to work.
Again.. Unistalling TomTom will not fix the problem as it does not replaces the BtCoreIf.dll and BtSdkCE30.dll
Only solution (that work for me) was a factory reset..
But as your radio did not work before the TomTom install I guess that you have an other problem.
Did you try the radio when the unit was still with the factory software (clean)?
I have TomTom installed and is working fine for me.
But reception quality is poor, much worse than i had with HTC Artemis long time ago :-(

I had a similar issue, just remove BTTrayce from Windows/Startup it dosent seem to effect the use of tomtom.
Nb. I did install tomtom on my device and just discovered Bluetooth also dosent work now!!
Could you please post a copy of BtCoreIf.dll and BtSdkCE30.dll so i can try and restore the originals and let others know if it fixes the issue. thanks

I wish that I could help you, but it will not let me copy the BtCoreIf.dll file. (permission denied)
As for the BtSdkCE30.dll file. It's not on my system. I guess that this file is not needed.
Reset to factory settings.
I didnt try radio before i installed tomtom.
So now i am going to do it the easy way, factory reset and try all proggs before i install my favorite apps.
By the way, it seems to be a very nice phone
Thanx all for quick replays

Now after factory reset everything seems to work.
I wonder if i dare to install tomtom....

Just remove the two "bad" files from the tomtom .cab file before you install it.
The files that need to be removed are "BtCoreIf.dll and BtSdkCE30.dll"
Use "WinCE CAB Manager" to do the job (google WinCE CAB Manager)
Ok, i try that.
I let you know how it goes...
\\ Spacetower
Now i installed TomTom and i did a rebuild before without the bt files and it works great, thanx m8.

Hi,
I have a problem with TT7 on my HD2.
After installing TT7, the phone starts up with an error message: BTTray something is not a valid program.
And that disables Bluetooth completely.
I wonder if anyone else has this problem and if there's a fix for it.
The TT version is 7.916.9189
Any suggestions appreciated,
M.
Delete/rename \Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll and \Windows\BtCoreIf.dll
Then soft reset

Hi Exlo,
I didn't find BtSdkCE30, do have a BtSdkCE50 instead, but wasn't sure if that should be deleted as well.
I've deleted the BtCoreIf.dll and although Bluetooth still works after installation, TT doesn't run: Invalid Windows Mobile version.

Hello,
I've had the exactly same problem that you have, I couldn't find any solution so I just made an Hard reset after having saved all my pim data with My phone. If you can't find a solution maybe you should do so.
Good luck there.

TomTom overwrites 2 files:
\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll
renaming these 2 files (add .bak extension or something) and performing a soft reset should restore the default dll's and fix the problem.
If that doesn't work:
I used a cab file for TTN that's HD2 specific.
Don't recall where I found it (usenet maybe, or through a messageboard), but it skips the bluetooth dll installation.
Filename of th cab I have used: HTC_HD2_TomTom_7.916.9189_vga_black_nobt.cab
Well known problem
This is nothing new. TomTom installs have been doing this since version 6. You'll need to 'Show all files' in File Explorer to see the BtCoreIf.dll and the BtSdkCE30.dll or you can use something like Total Commander.
I've done this on many devices and it all works fine so long as you delete these 2 files and then soft reset. DON'T delete anything else though!!!! That'll probably screw your Bluetooth up.
i found that tomtom stops my FM radio working!
Yes TomTom messed up my Bluetooth, FM radio and ?WiFi too.
I was only a day or to into my ownership so didn't mind a hard reset.
I copied all TomTom related files to the storage card before the hard reset.
When it rebooted I copied the navigator.exe as a short cut to the start menu. It has worked perfectly since.

I just renamed the \Windows\BtCoreIf.dll then everything was working again

Same thing here. I renamed to btcoreif.dll.old, did a soft reboot and no more error messages. also my bluetooth now works again.
Thanks for the solution!

Got same problem here...
I've renamed BtCoreIf.dll, deleted BtSdkCE30.dll using default WM file explorer displaying all files and rebooted the device.
Works perfectly! FM radio too
Thanks.
