You have to try more versions, for me running 8.0.0.49545 and 8.3.1.xxxxx, but I have problem with fixing satellites, it is periodically fixed and unfixed in 1 sec period... Only sometimes fixed ok :-(
i don't think it's a version problem, because igo 2006 does the same thing..

Igo2006 nor running under wm6.1, some patch exists, but I didn't try them. I never install Igo, only copy it to sd card, you have check the right path in sys.txt

Victor, what version of iGO8 are you trying to run. Version 8.0.0.49545 is definately working on my Jade with only one major caveat: switching off the display (by pressing the top button) causes communication failure with the GPS and requires a restart of iGO8 in order to rediscover the GPS.

And you sure it is Igo2006, not 2006+? I test patched Igo and working, but it is latest Igo 2006+ with new developed patch for Diamond due to wm6.1!
Alekss_UH, how did you solve fix and an unfix problem with GPS each second?
I have TT v7.9 and iGO 8.3.1.57021 and both have the same problem with GPS in my JADE.

can´t get Tomtom working. when it´s installed all funktions ok.
when i starts it a second time it trays to start but ends up whith "unable to start. an error occured accessing file". Then i have to delete the file named navigator and run the guide and it work´s one time again.
Dont try Kaiser Tomtom on Niki
I think I found the problem. Uninstall the cab for Kaiser Tomtom and install standard tomtom 603
And it works just fine except for the videodriver that sucks.

Since I changed my rom to FixixNover 3.3 my Trinity keeps changing the time zone without any explanation.
I searched the forum and tried various solutions but none worked.
I have the "Automatic change time zone" disabled and I haven't used Active sync for some days and today it changed the time zone 3 times.
Is this a problem of this Rom or is it a problem of WM6.1?
I never had this issue when I had WM5.
Anyone can help me solve this issue or knows of a ROM that doesn't have this problem?
check if u install any software that effects time zone.
Flash the ROM again, do not install any program , see if you still have this problem.

That's right!!!
I even return to my original WM5 just for test. Everything works fine, ajust the hour and time zone, but after install iGo8, the time zone change everytime I use the software.

try modify sys.txt in igo8 folder on sd,
copy this to sys.txt
[timezone]
sync_os_timezone=0
reset_os_timezone=0
this is little bug of IGO8,
I installed iGo 2008 a few days ago. Maybe that's what's causing this.

it doesn't go......when you use IGO8 and TOMTOM automatically the hour changes to GMT+2....but keep the local time, once you reset the phone or pass a long time....phone detects you are in GMT+2 and less 1 hour. The two solutions proposed DONSN'T GO....i think it something with the Satellites and the configuration of the navigators. Satellites have an internal clock that is configurated to GMT+2.

Tried this but the problem continues.
Everytime I use iGo2008 the timezone changes to +1 Prague...
I like iGo2008 very much but until this is solved I'll have to find another gps software. I don't remember having this problem when I had TomTom.
you need to make the sys.txt modification on the device program files folders as well. Trust me it works!

Please help, I have the same problem... but on my device there is no 'iGo 8' folder, but only on my SD card... and I modified the sys.txt file, and nothing.
I have iGo 8.3.2 on the HTC Diamond2.

Hello,
I have the same problem, I am using IGO8 and have it on an SD card.
I have modified the sys.txt in the igo8 folder, where else do I need to modify?
In the display of my autoradio, the time changes every 5 seconds randomly...

When I was using iGo8 with windows 6 it worked fine but when i upgraded to the HTC windows rom 6.1, iGo8 doesn't start at all. What do i need to do for iGo8 to work on my Touch Cruise on Original HTC 6.1 rom.

Oh someone else with my issue.
I have the same Problem. When klicking the IGO8.exe shortly something is loading (this windows loading animation). But it wont start. There is also no Startupscreen from IGO8

Most likely you guys are using an outdated version. I had the same problem and everything worked great after I upgraded to iGo 8.0.0.49545.

try to remove htc home from the today screen
if it doesn't do the trick try afterwards a soft reset and try to launch igo again

Hi guys, the problem that you have has been solved in the last version of iGo 8. They realised there is a problem with 6.1 and they've fixed it. So, the last version can be downloaded from any site (or I can upload it) .. just let me know

it's 8.0.0.54000... consider it's only an update so ask them for the exe only. no need to replace the other files.
From the update 8.0.0.54000 take the igo.exe and rename it application.dat and overwrite it on the old file on igo8.
Instal igo again and it will work.
That is one reason for me to downgrade to wm6.
Where can i get the update?

You have to switch off AGPS in settings or alternatively initiate GPS before each iGO start using a program such as 3d tracking or GPS2Blue.

I had the same problem when upgraded my touch cruise to Wm6.1
I had to remove htc home screen from today screen.
settings->today->items
uncheck Htc home (or however it is called exactly, sorry I forgot).
Then softreset.
After softreset start iGO8. Minimize it and start HTC home again. Go back to iGO and you can use it or exit now.
It should work until next softreset.
Better solution is upgrading iGO.
I upgraded to iGO8.3 and everything work normally now.

i have installed my original ROM for diamond many times and after installing it I install all my favorite programs.
1st to install (DIAMOND HOLOGRAM) & (POCKET PICTURE 2) “ as the next problem happens with them “ . and to be sure that they work well then to install all the rest programs.
After installing all my programs I found (diamond hologram & Pocket Picture) to stop working and gives these errors :
For the hologram : (An error has happen but could not be displayed as an optional resource assembly could not be found )
For the Pocket Picture : ( an error message with two options – quit and more details ) … I can’t remember the details for now.
Anyway, after many trials to find the source of this error I found that these programs stop working after installing IGO 8.0… not only that but after installing it and got the gps receiver connected !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ….. yes that is what I found.
Now I need to install all my favorite programs and also to have IGO 8 on my Diamond.
By the way, I have tried to install all the .net versions !!!!
Anyone know what is the problem and it’s solution ????????????????????

I have searched a lot online trying to find anyone have this prob. 2 but failed
By the way let us help each other to find a solution for this.
Yesterday I have tried the same steps:
1- Installing my ROM
2- installing the hologram and pocket picture2, then to be sure they are working.
3- Installing igo8 and before got my gps receiver connected exit the igo and try the hologram. An I found it still working.
4- Starting igo again and got my gps receiver connected. Then to exit it.
5- Trying the hologram again to find it stop working !!!!!!!!!
After the previous steps , I continued with the next steps :
1- Removed the igo8.
2- Trying the hologram and it is still not able to start.
3- Reinstalling the igo8.
4- Starting the igo without having the gps receiver connected. And then to exit the igo.
5- Trying the hologram again (( STRANGE…. IT IS WORKING NOW !!!!!! ))
6- Starting igo again and having the gps receiver connected. Then to exit the igo
7- Testing the hologram again. Sadly to find it stop working again.
From these trials and yours ( sof treset twice or more ) … I think the the gps connecting proccess of the igo8 makes a modification some how in a necessary files required to start the hologram, pocket picture, citytime …. Etc.
Now what is this file shared and required to run all of these programs. And what is the relation between this file and having the gps connected.
Note: the 1st time to have the gps connected it takes too long time. After that it is just one second to get it connected. That means there are some data has been written into the system which makes it takes a long time at the 1st of the program after installing.
Note: at the step no 5 ( underline step above ) the hologram and the pocket picture gave a message indicating that this is the 1st use of this program after installing it, where I have tested it b4 installing the igo and have them to stop working after installing it. This means that the shared file between the Igo and hologram is being rested somehow after the step no 4.
That is all I have tested 4 now….
Any new ideas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
temp. way to slove the problem
my temp. solution for this poblem for now is to make the system.ini file under the folder "save" on the igo8 folder a read only file before got my gps connected for the 1st time. so by this way no modifications about gps settings will be saved. and as u exit the program of igo u will lose all the new settings u made " also the gps data " .... all you have to do now to make your program working is to open the igo8 again and close it without having your gps connected. that way u will have your programs working without a need to soft reset twice. !!
that is my temp solution for now, any other solution is welcome.
i had igo8 working fine on my touch diamond but i much prefered tomtom, when i uninstalled igo8 my system became really unstable. freezing all the time etc, so i tried to figure out what it was. when you install igo8 it puts loads of files onto your phone/internal storage wherever you installed it. and it doesnt work properly until you remove every single one of them

Just installed tomtom7 and everything works just fine apart from that my bluetooth suddenly won´t work on my phone? Anyone experienced this and know how to solve the problem? Can´t even turn the bluetooth on...
Problem solved!
Did exatctly the following and now everything is fine and dandy... Well except that I still have the damn sms-sending problems every now and then...

If bt fails after installing tomtom , delete or rename these files and do a soft reset:
\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll
Copy all the installed TomTom files to your SD Card, Hard reset your device and start TomTom from your SD Card!
Tomtom destroys some bluetooth files.. thats the way i made it working on mine!

You need to remove some files from TomTom, can't remember what files though. But try the search, it's out there somewhere.
