Hmm. Though it will be better to categorise all supported games and apps for gene in one single section. The idea is to place all the apps recommended by Gene Users in one thread which they have used and found to be working. The objective is to index all apps and games running smoothly on gene and hopefully with sufficient participation the program list will be smooth and rewarding for particularly Newbies to the Forum.
If two more people people think unnecessary please comment. i will ask MODs to delete this thread. Let's keep our gene forum clean.

I think its nice idea to share our fav apps with others. But I guess there was a thread similar to this earlier too.
Still a GOOD THOUGHT I belive.

Look Pavan, It really drove me nuts to see that comment. For a second I was thinking, if it hurt me this much, how much the Creator of this thread was hurt. This guy has taken a serious effort to do the job and did it well.
It always drive me mad when nobody comes forward to do the task, and when one tries to do the job in his capacity, the other fellows try to criticize that by saying, "Useless", "it would have be better this way", "I could have done better", " you screwed up pal.." ... ect...
For those ppl, I have only one thing to say... F**k off you D**k Heads...
I still believe I am correct pavan...

Opera on the Pocket PC - a setup tutorial & quick review

A lot of PPC users have noticed on all the PPC boards that an already-usable preliminary version of the Opera browser has become available. As it's Java MIDP-based, people had serious problems with installing/running it. This is why (I'm a Java guru, so, I made it work in some seconds) I decided to write a tutorial and, being an avid PPC browser and compression service user, also a quick review of the app, comparing it to the other Pocket PC Web browsers.
1, download the IBM J9 (you can also give a try to the CrEme JVM (see the above-linked Java article) - I haven't tested Opera with that JVM. With the IBM J9, it's woking just great). Go here, choose the link "Trial: IBM Workplace Client Technology, Micro Edition 5.7" and navigate thru the 3 pages, by loging in / registering with IBM. On the third page, scroll down to "WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment MIDP 2.0 for Windows Mobile 2003" and download it.
Alternatively, you can download the same package from Handango, but it's much bigger in size than the one at IBM, so, you may want to stick to the latter.
Note that the HTC PDA + mobile combo has its own MIDP JVM (see the XDA-Developers thread). It's not available for non-HTC branded devices, however (AFAIK!), so, you'll need to stick to third-party solutions (and it's pretty futile to go to http://www.dmmh.nl/xda/files/ , as recommended in the XDA-Developers thread, to look for the JVM).
Install (you may want to install it on a storage card) and everything will be OK. (Contrary to what most people say, you will NOT need to download WebSphere Studio Device Developer in its entirety! The Handango download may also include parts of it; hence the size.)
2, get Opera from here - sorry, as I was told this distro isn't necessarily legal (even if it's an early beta version, which may be much worse than the final), I've removed the direct link to it.
3, if/once you have Winrar on your PC, just enter winrar opera-mini.rar. Click the 'Extract' icon in Winrar and press Enter. The files will be extracted in a directory named opera-mini.
4, transfer the files Opera_Mini_low.jad and Opera_Mini_low.jar to your PPC; to, say, \My Documents
5, invoke File Explorer on the PDA, and click Opera_Mini_low.jad (the smaller file).
6, IBM J9 will automatically be invoked and the MIDLET installation started; just keep pressing OK/Yes:

}
7, after this, highlight Opera at the top:
and press the Launch button at the top. Opra will be started and some Noregian text displayed; just click OK in the lower left corner.
8, go to Meny/Verktøy/Innstillinger
and click the Norsk at the bottom of the list in the top of the window. Choose English from the top of the list.
Click Lagre.
9, now, you can start browsing. You'll get used to the interface very fast. It's pretty different from other browsers (there're no
Some remarks:
- it's astonishingly fast, especially at rendering small images, which has always been one of the weakest point of PIE
- don't be afraid of the lack of 'traditional' form components. Everything is a simple text field here, even text areas, as can be seen in the following screenshot:
- if you install opera.ja* instead of Opera_Mini_low.ja*, it won't be able to communicate with the server, for some reasons (dunno why; didn't really have the time to track the cause for the bug. The 'full' version isn't much better than the 'basic' - it has a graphical command bar and - pretty slow - character antialiasing features. Upon popular request, I may look into the problem, even on the Java source level. Let me know if you want it to work.)
- upon the first request, it asks whether it should use the "airtime". Just leave the default 'Yes' intact:
- use some kind of task manager to return to the app (for example, the built-in Task Switcher in Spb Pocket Plus 3.0 - incidentally, if you use it, you may want to relocate it from the RAM - see this thread) if you minimize the J9 window by mistake
- native VGA mode works great:
- dynamic Landscape orientation change doesn't work with IBM J9; just restart J9 in Landscape and everything will be OK
- everything is one column-only, but still very nice to read, much nicer than the output of, say, Skweezer or its online alternatives. And the speed difference is just breathtaking!
- JavaScript support is good; however, don't expect Google Maps to run, however
- inter-session cookie handling is good; they are stored in \My Documents\recordStores
- I couldn't spot any kind of local caching (Thunderhawk/Minimo doesn't use any local cache either)
- there is no Java support either
- no in-page find, not even text select/copy. Copy/paste works great in text fields, though.
- don't try to force the two IBM J9 EXE files (IBM MIDP20\bin\emulator.exe / IBM MIDP20\bin\j9midp20.exe) into forced VGA. It'll result in the disappearing of the upper/lower bar; the lower bar being the command bar with buttons to use, you won't be able to use the app at all:
10, upon subsequent starts, you don't need to re-click the jad file again; just run "MIDLet HQ" and go to step 7 above.
I've tested it on both WM2003 (iPAQ 2210) and WM2003SE (PL720) with J9; works great so far. Even in its current form, this application is great and, despite its being Java-based, incredibly fast.
You may also want to read my article on the other browsers available and the above-mentioned Reducing Internet bandwidth usage on the Pocket PC - A complete roundup & comparison of Toonel, OnSpeed, Skweezer, WebWarper and the like so that you can compare. Especially compared to the solutions (Skweezer et al) in the latter category does Opera excel.
not tested yet, but you did pretty nice job! thanks

Yup, removed them.
Since this is in the Magician section of the forum, here is how I did it on mine:
I installed the Java Midlet Manager that was in my Extended ROM untill I did the Big Storage thing. If you still have an Extended ROM instead op Big Storage, then you don't need to install this one. I just downloaded it from the ftp and installed it on my MDA Compact. Then I downloaded the Opera-mini.rar, unrarred it on my pc, copied the 4 files to my Magician's storage and opened the Opera_mini_low.jad. Opera was installed and every time I open my Midlet Manager, Opera is there. One click and it gets started.
Maybe this is easier then installing the IBM solution? Perhaps I am way off, but installation like this seems much easier to me...

Yup, I've also emphasized this. This article is just a cross-post of a post I've also posted to other PPC forums - this is why it doesn't contain much Magician-related stuff. (I know - I should have posted this in a generic forum here too and not "just" to the Magician forum.)

Since i'm one of the official Opera translators (i translate the italian version for windows, unix, series60, ezx, archos, opera mini, etc) i'd like to point out that the version we're talking about is called Opera Mini.
Opera Mini is a java application (or midlet, i'm not a Java guru!) intended to run on any MIDlet-capable mobile device out there (most mobiles are). The final official (and localized) release will be available very soon (i've been translating it in these last days). As Menneisyys correctly pointed out, there exist two versions: a low-mem and a high-mem one. I think the high-mem should work on our magician (the low-mem is intended for those slow and memory-limited mobiles) however the beta currently available may have some problem (or, maybe, the MIDlet manager you're using).
Now, I wish to make clear that Opera for PocketPC is a completely different product from Opera Mini. It'll be a PPC native program and will be released soon after (AFAIK) Opera Mini. I wasn't able to get more information about it (but i'm still trying!), so I cannot say whether it'll be WM 2003 SE compatible or it'll run on WM 5 only.
Opera for PocketPC will be ways better than Opera Mini and won't require any MIDlet manager (it's not a Java application!). From this point of view, it'll be more similar to Opera for smartphones or Opera for Series60 (Nokia, Symbian) than to Opera Mini.
As soon as i'll know more about Opera for PPC, i'll keep u informed.
Bye bye,
Isidoro
Opera8.5 for WM2005 is available now.So i guess the 2003 version is not far...
Available for the smartphone ...the WM5.0 and 2003 versions on their way according to website....you can try the beta version however

Yrgo - the new mobile shell, move things about - add gadgets etc.

yrgo - the most customizable user interface
Hi,
my name is Lukas Haraga and I've developed new user interface for Windows Mobile devices. I believe this product can be interesting for lot of people.
Check www.2daysoft.com and see the presentation video there. Believe me - you will like it .
Thanks,
Lukas
it looks very solid, its a shame that you have to pay for it though.
Keep working on the graphical flashiness of it, and do you have any numbers on memory usage (storage and program)
Memory consumption
In storage, it takes about 2.3MB, but there are two dlls - one for 320x240 (about 750kB) and one for 640x480 displays (about 1.1 MB). You can of course delete one of them after the installation.
The memory consumption: Task manager shows 180kB after the start (without any gadget on desktop) and it grows depending on number of gadgets, contacts, SMS messages, etc.
this is so awesome!! and really desktop grade software for windows mobile
congrats on a really great tool.
its great to see that it supports adding other today plugins as gadgets to yrgo!
folks, do have a look, its wicked awesome! (and yes, don't miss the design mode in video!)
Thanks. I'm glad you like it.
Guys, can you help me with my problem? I believe the software could be useful for lot of people. But almost nobody knows it.
So, how to make yrgo the most famous UI software in the world?
Thanks for advices.

So, how to make yrgo the most famous UI software in the world?

Really cool software. Have you considered linking with websites like Handango where people can buy yrgo??
That's a good way to promote your product, IMO...

Handango wants 70% of the product price and this is too much for me. Imagine, the software price is $10 and you will get just $3.
But I'm going to release a free version with limited functionality and this version I'd like to have on handango and such servers.
Thanks for advice.
Lukas
i think you have to change the name of your
interface
yrgo- yoghurt
something more exotic
Only my opinion.
I just installed it though, and thus far it's quite good, going to play around and see if it works out. Design mode is definitely something I am for, as I hate editing XML files to change the smallest thing.
Suggestions:
Custom clocks
Custom fonts/images
I played with it a bit and it works fine on a 96dpi i780 in 320x320.
but i removed it quickly, because it doesnt support the hardware keyboard. when i start typing, i would like to go to the yrgo contacts list that starts filtering, like the built in dialer does from the today screen.
other than that it looks promising. very.
feature requests:
start searching contacts when you start typing on the hardware keyboard
support keyboard shortcuts. user customizable, so that when i add gadget to launch something, or to open my sms inbox, make it so that we can assign hardware keyboard shortcuts like "win+s" for the sms inbox, etc.
this is definitely a very promising UI program - runs quite smooth on my HTC Trinity, where other programs like throttle launcher are sluggish.
I'll post it in the Development and Hacking forum, because it certainly needs more work and improvements, especially graphics, and the gurus are always there
Is is customizable? Can u skin it easily??
Here is the thread I started on the Development and Hacking forum:

[New UI software] 2daysoft yrgo - very promising.
Hi everyone.
The trend of finger-friendly UI programs is known to all of us now, every week we hear about a new program like Lifetoday and others.
I stumbled upon a new and rather promising program called yrgo from 2daysoft
http://www.2daysoft.com/yrgo/index.html
I advise you to check the video in the homepage.
The programs has incredible potential IMHO - I would describe it as similar to UltimateLauncher , but less memory consuming, more finger friendly, and most of all - the extreme ease of configuring it through the design mode.

Obviously, there's lots of room for improvement, so I'm posting this thread for feedback and possible customization by the forum gurus in here
Pros:
1) low memory consumption - this is the main +, on my HTC Trinity it takes less than 1 MB, compared to the several MBs other UI take.
2) works very smooth even on my HTC trinity.
3) The ability to add ANY today plugin to the UI - which is an awesome feature.
4) customization is very easy
Cons and suggestions:
1) Full screen mode, since it basically replaces the taskbar.
2) Customization I don't know if it is easy to customize and whether there is a possibility for themes etc. This program definitely needs work on its design to compete with SPB mobile shell and ThrottleLaunhcer
3) Better design of the contacts page.
For now, It doesn't really replace the stability and extreme customizaation of ultimate Launcher, but it's very promising.
Enjoy
i just tested it. some comments:
-fast,
-no fullscreen,
-my screen flickers when a new page or something is drawn.
- not skinnable in any way, you can´t event change the wallpaper !
- doesnt work with Thumbcal.
- contacts scrollist flickers and is slow. they should take a look at pocketcm.
The look and feel overall isn´t my world, but thanks for posting. i

Thank you, KamaL,
it is nice to see that people like the software. I'm surprised how amazed are all of you .
At this moment, you just can change the color of the desktop. There is lot of work on the software and I'd like to spend as much time as I can on developing, but I also have to promote it and do some marketing.
I will implement background desktop images soon. I also would like to implement complete skinning ability, but it takes time.
The more people like it and want it the more motivation I have .
Thanks.
Lukas
Not bad, I think it will be good for those who would like to skin there own app. Just drag and place where you want. The bad is it is not that skinable meaning changing icons etc.
Seems like low memory usage, I notice some flicker in some screens as well. The good is you can access all phone functions with finger. No need for stylus. The scroll while not as good as others is better than using a stylus. No way to configure Menus.
For people looking for a software which is normally not supported by non standard screen resolutions this can be a option. I modified and set it up on my i780 320x320 screen in about 10 min or less.
Will keep my eye on it, but not sure if I would want to buy it just yet. Will wait to see what changes they will offer in the future development.
I tested it also :
- no fullscreen
- no calendar...for a today use...not so good
- no possibility to use third applications as link from today yrgo plugin
- no SMS threading like in pocketCM
- no help to understand way of working (multi desktop ?)
- not so fast
- very good design mode to change

Strange, I notice only a minor flicker while getting to te different menus, and nothing more.
also the contacts page is very smooth for me. my only complaint is the font size used - not the best one imo.

Hehe, I also had problems with this - simply use the DPAD left/right buttons to bowse through the 4 desktops.
I agree with all other suggestions - customization and use of 3rd party programs like thumbal is a MUST.

You're welcome.
As I said, check the thread I started in the Development and Hacking forum. Some experienced members already tested it and aready posted their quick reviews as I did. I suggest you keep an eye on that thread
Consider checking all major finger-friendly appz out there, especially PocketCm for optimizing your contacts and SMS gadgets, and UltimateLauncher and SPB mobile Shell for overall usage. If you can find a combination of all those programs' features while keeping the memory usage so low, I guess you'll get many good reviews. For now - there's lots of work to be done, and the members of this board are always ready to give feedback.
Good luck;
Kamal
I think your no1 priority is to make it fully skinnable. If it's skinnable, people will make skins for it and release it here, and there's no doubt that many people will consider buying your software!
I saw the video, it looks nice, but for me personally there's no chance to even try it unless I can skin it
I have a nice name for it
Cruid
It sounds kinda nice and mysterious in my opinion
Just a suggestion

Ported PC games for HTC Diamond: Warcraft 2, Duke3D, Wolfenstein, Doom...

Thanks to Drakey83 from htcgeeks - this is copypasted text..
Warcraft II
Requirements: Any VGA Pocket PC or PDA PDA Phone with plenty of memory to spare.
Overview: The single player storyline is basically a frame tale for combat and devoid of plot development during missions, which is usual for early RTS games but in contrast to some later ones, including StarCraft and Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. The game is set six years after the fall of Azeroth (the orc campain ending from Warcraft: Orcs & Humans) in the First War in Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. The Orcs have decided to conquer the lands to the north and acquire Lordaeron for their empire, and the battles to follow would later be known as the Second War.

More Info: Wargus was ported to Pocket PC by a great russian programmer that goes by the name n0p. Wargus uses a mobile version of the Stratagus game engine. The version I've uploaded here is the English VGA Version that has been optimized by me to run as well as possible and also to look as much like the original Warcraf II as possible. The first change I made to the code was th change the intro screen to be the original Warcraft II screen intest of the ugly Stratagus screen, the second change to the code I made was with the sound files, now insted of like six or seven phrases per character there is only one or two, to save momory usuage, also I changed the icon to be the original Warcraft II icon, along with all of that I also included all of the patches and fixes that are currently available, hope you ENJOY!
Code:
http://airsoft-cro.com/static/Warcraft2.zip
http://rapidshare.com/files/90257783/Warcraft_2_PPC_VGA__freeware__with_game_files.rar.html
I uploaded game to my portals server with unlimited bandwidth so there must be no problems for anyone to download.. If you have memory problems with game try downloading it from second link provided (rapidshare)..
Click on the download link, download .zip file, unzip files, put the Warcraft II files on your SD or CF card, and then simply go to SD Card(or CF Card)\Warcraft II and click on the new Warcraft II icon to play.
EDIT: problem with the screen align, go to options in the main menu, select video resolution 640x480 and mark the Fullscreen checkbox ( which is unmarked as default ) after this change it's working perfect
Don't know about warez and stuff, but I was fast enough to catch that link.
Thank you very much
hummm it sounds great!
let me try it.i will let you know my impresions.
thanks!
Duke Nukem 3D Atomic
Ported application from spv3d. I changed some settings in duke3d.cfg file like UsingGapi to 0 so it looks like this "UsingGapi = 0" without setting it the game didnt show graphics. The fps count is enabled and showing 10-20fps on Diamond (TF3D disabled of course). I have problems with setting sound device & also some controls problems... Anyone who has some time to test please post your results here somewhere
The response in game menu is slowed down so it might take a few presses before you actually press the menu link. Once in the game you can shoot by tapping anywhere on the screen & move with buttons up, down, left, right.. as said before it would be great if someone could find a way to control the movement trough touchscreen...
Here are some pics of game runnin I have take:
Download link (19,2mb):
Code:

Doom
NOTE :
You need some wad files for running the game.
currently supported wad files are:
doom1.wad
doom.wad
doomu.wad
doom2.wad
doom2f.wad
plutonia.wad
tnt.wad
Note that not all of these files intend to run perfectly and you may experience some problems with some of them.
Doom1.wad the shareware version seemed to work perfectly.
For music you can put a file called doom.wav in same directory.
Included Doom1.wad for testing purposes... Game running smooth on Diamond.. up down left right movement & shooting..
Download link... only ~1,5mb
Code:

Awesome!!!!
Doom is a classssiccc.
But how do I exit Doom.
Thanks kick asss!!!

I noticet that annoying problem too! It works fine under menu.. but in game its moved so its difficult to select the character or click the button to walk
P.S. Heretic port doesnt work for our HTC devices.. only with OpenGL-ES port for Dell AXIM X50V and X51V (and any PocketPC which contain the intel 2700g graphic chipset)
Hi thanks for the games! warcraft 2 is great! about the problem with the screen align, go to options in the main menu, select video resolution 640x480 and mark the Fullscreen checkbox ( which is unmarked as default ) after this change it's working perfect in my diamond!

Ha. Ha. Ha.
And I thought my jokes were bad.
Seriously, now - Warcraft II, it's story, characters, graphics and sound files are (c) Blizzard Entertainment. Warcraft II is not abandon-ware, nor is it free. Most of the abandon-ware talk is myth anyway - there's barely any abandon-ware available.
Nevertheless, since I legally own Warcraft II, it is legal to download this since, indeed, it is a remake on a different engine, using stuff legally licensed to me by Blizzard Entertainment.
This is warez, but at least this form is rather acceptable (although the data files should not be in the archive to be fully legal - instead, it should contain information on how to load the Warcraft II data files into Stratagus).
My bad I thought it was just Stratagus and being called something else.
hahahhahaha. give me a break mate. Even if you've got the original. Doesn't mean that you can have a copy of it. This is a port as well. Mean you can't edit any copyright. Cheers

Is it possible for somenone to make Command & Conquer Red alert for the HTC Diamond? I would love to play that game on my HTC, it was a bit like this game graphic wise.
warcraft ends after 5 min
Great work, loved it on my old pc! Now on my Diamiond, nice!
One problem: after some minutes of playing the game will just end. Looks like the app is just killed.
No error message, enough device memory, problem both in human or orc mode..
Only thing could be that I installed it on the internal storage instead of device memory (since device memory has only 15MB left).
One other thing could be that I just unzipped the whole into my internal storage. The included readme says to replace some files in a folder, only there is no such folder so I didn't make any change..
Any of you guys having the same problem? Please help, tnx!

Yeah it works fine up untill you have like 30 people on the screen then it just turns off because it runs out of memory... you have to save often and just restart your game whenever it crashes so its semi-playable..
On a post nr. 4 added Duke Nukem with download links..
Also I found this great port. Its only shareware version but looks nice to try...

I will vote in a pool in this (or other) thread if you will create it. I tried download from your link three times with no success and now I see the message about download limit and country. Thanks for mirrors...
Edit: I tried... It is fast (comparing with pcarvalho's ROM much faster). There is not EZ input (not IGO issue, not stupid character window on photo-button). About 50Mb memory is realy nice.
I'm missing a timeSync aplication, total commander, SIP_CHANGE is neccessary.
Personaly i prefer big volume (HTC black) and restart button (ie. when power button pressed or in startmenu). Both I've seen it when I played bepe's kitchen as i remember.
After I disabled some M2D tabs (launcher, settings, people, location, weather), there is 52MB free memory !

Yes the M2DC works, not fully, but works.
One thing
Do not change any thing in Launcher tab, and use only themes designed for M2Dv2
I have got this up and running and it is nice and quick. My only issue is that wifi is showing as being connected but it the device insists on connecting to a gprs connection when using internet. Any ideas? I am using the recommended ROM, have done a hard reset, etc.
Thanks
Edit: now fixed, my mistake, had chosen wifi to connect to work, not internet. Cool ROM, thanks.
I've tested almost every wm6.5 roms for polaris and this is the best among all.
Smooth and responsive, 4x mb rams free with m2d compared to 1x or single digit of other roms.
1 thing though, the comm manager shows wifi as unchangable, means I cant turn it on or off but I can do that in the connections page.
And some areas the screen seems to be less responsive to touches, probably a setting somewhere as it only happens there.
Keep on the good work!

The wifi in commanager works fine just resync You Polaris with PC and when it fully done unplug the cable.
if thats not help - softreset, kill replog.exe in Advanced Task Manager and repeat sync
NOTE: WiFi didnt work when Polaris connected to PC
Try to align screen with minimum pressure, also screen protector add some hardness to sensitivity
Just wanted to say I've not used many ROMS in the past, but so far this is my favourite one, my main requirements were responsiveness which this one seems to be meeting! Many thanks for your efforts
Im try all the roms here, but this is my favorite now!!
Fast, fully works with my vodafone card, great keyboard.
Nice work! THNX.

Gettings Things Done Approach with TP2 - Task and Calendar

Anyone doing "Getting Things Done" with their Touch Pro 2 ?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getting_Things_Done
Getting Things Done (commonly abbreviated as GTD) is a method created by David Allen, and described in a book of the same name.
GTD rests on the principle that a person needs to move tasks out of the mind by recording them externally. That way, the mind is freed from the job of remembering everything that needs to be done, and can concentrate on actually performing those tasks.

Wont work for me but might for you !
i need wm 6.5
Update:
Remember the milk has milksync for winmo, but it's not free. MS MyPhone will backup tasks (and most other stuff) and let you access them via the web. MyPhone is a free beta right now and it's not linked to any of the MS live features yet.

Looks old ! Costs $25/year.
I use PocketInformant as my default PIM. And SBSH PocketBreeze on my today screen. This is a setup I'm using for a few years now, and it still feels like the best solution for me.

Toodledo Gmail Adds Robust Task Management To Gmail

- lots of good tips there.
Toodledo, a web-based task manager that’s friendly to Getting Things Done adherents or anyone looking for a serious but customisable reminder setup, adds a Gmail gadget to its arsenal of tools that let you track your to-dos anywhere you’re looking.

looks great.
Do the Tasks Sync to Outlook ? Anywhere on the Desktop ?
Syncs with MS Outlook. Even categories! That's why I stopt using the Symbian OS.
If you're looking for a full GTD system that syncs with your desktop and handheld go with MyLifeOrganized. Simple to use and lightweight. Not much for the "pretty" factor though.
I just wish google would hurry up and figure out how to sync tasks through gmail accounts with outlook. It can do everything else...why not taaaaasssskkkks?!

MLO looks pretty good. I've seen it before.
Not sure it is that Touch Friendly.
The new Pocket Informant has bumped up their GTD approach.
Certainly both systems have alot to offer.

osirisHTC,
Take a look in Task2Gather, by Vito Technology, at vitotechnology.com/windowsmobile-task2gather.html
"One place for all your to-do lists on your Windows Mobile! Task2Gather is your personal to-do list and your collaborative tool for your business. What is unique about Task2Gather? You can share your projects, distribute actions to employees or family members and keep track of their progress. You can manage tasks depending on scale of importance and deadlines. For a simpler use you can just remind yourself of your things to do for the day from buying bread to finish your big presentation at work.
Even if your family members, friends, or colleagues don't have Windows Mobile device, they can work with you from a desktop PC, Mac or even iPhone. The idea of updating your shopping list while you are in the shop will be to your wife's liking."
It looks like a good solution for me.
It's finger-friendly and cheap: $ 0,99.

I'm not using the feature, but Pocket Informant 9 has the option to use GTD.
Pocket Informant seems too complicated for me ,i am using task2gather .but still unsatisfied
I wrote my own GTD-like functions in my Pointui Home2 UI/Suite customizations. See a few screens below...
This is a link explaining how I use it specifically and a link to the author's work I based it from...

I don't want a web-based solution.
I don't have a data plan.

I just started using this and I love it! Thanks for the great recommendation!
Pocket Informant
Using Pocket Informant, and there is no parallel IMHO on the WINMO device to get you to GTD.
Don't forget EVERNOTE!!!!
my life organized
mlo is barnone the best gtd app out there. seriously the others mentioned here are nice if you have a couple projects and tasks, but for a complete solution for both light work loads and heavy, there is no competition. true it takes a lot of work on the front and to build your to do list, but once done it is automated from then on out. furthermore it follows the rules of getting things done perfectly. unlike everything else mentioned here, it knows what your next actionable are and it knows when you can do them. again, it knows when you can actually do them, so at any given moment you can look at your list and know that what its showing you is what you can work on right now based on time of day location and available time. much better than having to look at your list and make that determination yourself.
I suggest getting both the desktop and mobile app. they talk to each other, and the desktop is great for the weekly review while the mobile is good for review daily and tweaking your list ( adding a new next action on the fly)
