XDA Exec remote email with Exchange 2000

Does anyone use an XDA Exec or 'Universal' to retrieve email from an Exchange 2000 server? (Push or pull).
I have created a VPN which works fine but i'm now stuck. Any guidance regarding IMAP & SMTP would be appreciated.
If the handset won't work with Exchange 2000 then is there a 3rd part app that will push email to the unit?
Thanks in adavnce
Craig
If you used to POP3/IMAP and STMP plus VPN, from my experience, it may have some problems on DNS resolve.
I would like to recommend to use the Exchange 2003 to solve the problem. Using sync technical on the email. In the Exchange 2003 SP2, it is support 'Push' technology.

Mail exchange

Hi all,
I've got a problem with my friend new galaxy s with the email exchange.
I'm trying to configure his clompany email exchange on the phone always give me unable to connect.
Hope u can help me with that issue
Regards
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
You sure his company exchange all set up ok? Make sure you are using SSL and that SSL certificates are installed correctly on the server. The sever to connect to is the same as your OWA server minus the https:// like mine for example is owa.domain.com
Mail Exchange
Hi,
had the same issue on my Galaxy running on Froyo JP6 with Exchange 2010 SP1.
It was a problem with security certificates. Fixed it by exchanging the email.apk.

An issue I had that confused me for ages with the exchange account was that I had forgotten to use my Exchange windows username to login, which was different to my email address alias.
So used to logging in everywhere with email addresses these days.
Hi,
Is he using an Internet access APN or an internal company one(with no access to internet). If this is the case first try to conect using the internet APN and after you get no resposne from the server try with the Intranet APN. It should work. This was the problem in my case.

n7 and MS Exchange 2003

Hi - I have been trying to get my Nexus 7 working with an Exchange 2003 server and having trouble. Essentially I get a "Waiting for Sync .... your email will appear shortly" and then nothing. I am using the stock email client. Has anyone got similar issues or know how I can solve? I am definitely connected to the server as when I give it incorrect credentials I get a message telling me so.
Phoning Google I didn't get much help! Or my email provider...
Thanks
Spencer.

I've had problems with various systems and my exchange 2003 mail account (windows 8 in particular) - I have an exchange 2010 account that works fine. Not a solution but you're not alone.
Not a solution but I too am having difficulty getting the Nexus 7 working with Exchange 2003. I can sometimes get the Nexus 7 to connect without client SSL certificates but I have had absolutely no luck at all when attempting to use client certs. When attempting to use a client cert I get the following error message:
"Couldn't open connection to server"
I use the exact same settings and cert with my Galaxy Nexus running 4.0.4 ICS and it works fine. I suspect the problem may be some compatibility problem between Jelly Bean and Exchange 2003.
