It's a javascript performance test and I'm very curious what the massive CPU in the HD2 can do. It ought to smash most phones good and proper.

Please state which browser you are using, and if you're running a custom ROM.
Thanks!
Can't get a complete run on my HD2 with IE, stops at maths-partial-sums on first pass.
Worked with Opera 10 Beta 2 on a stock 1.66 with NET 3.5 here.

standard 1.66 ROM. Opera
Do you have a link to a list/performace of other phones that did this test?

Hi all,
Can someone try the web version of vimeo (http://vimeo.com) and compare the speed to iphone browser? Mine seem terribly slower than the iphone's browser, especially the transition between pages.
I'm running the cyanogen room 5.0.5.3 if that makes any different.
thanks.
Just compared it with my Co workers iPhone. My browser us quicker. I'm on Enomther's ROM if that helps.

Interesting. Is it a smooth transition? I flashed the Enomther's room to see what's up. The transition is still not as smooth as on the iPhone browser.
I tried the website on the iPod Touch 3G btw.
Cyanogen changed the javascript engine, this in the changelog:
* Disable V8 in Webkit and switch back to JSC due to app incompatibilities
V8 was apparently much faster, so if that site is javascript heavy.
It stemmed from some app called Epocrates not working with V8.
I'd rather have V8 if you ask me, the last version to have it was 5.0.5.1-N1
Hey,
I don't have no idea, but my hero browser seems to be very slow
It's takes quite a lot of time, until browser will load full page... And a lot of pages wants to load in mobile view...
IS it a normal laggy browser or not?
I use android 1.5
Yup... that's normal. Biggest disappointment ever.
I think it'll get better in 2.1 though... I've seen great speed improvements when my friend got an update to 2.1 for his cellphone (though not a hero).
1. Root device
2. Flash BeHero+ v1.2
3. Flash behnaam #23 2.6.29 OC kernel
4. OC your device to 691mhz
5. Disable flash in the browser
enjoy your hero as it was meant to be with android 2.1 and blazing fast
Or, consider using Opera as your browser. You might like it

I second that,... Opera is an excellent alternative.
Hello there.
Im not sure if there ist something like that but if not i realy would need it.
A ranking of the Roms or something like that.
I am trying arround some and have found many with grafik glitches and other problems. I have problems to understand in the nand thread which of those tons of roms are good. The newes? not realy.
anyway im serching for an android rom which is minimum 2.3.5 and with a good version of sense + facebook sense.it should be as stable as posible and everything should work excapt the 720p recording.
could someone give me a hint or share experiance with me. would be realy thankful.

Well this is going to be my own personal opinion on some sorts. If you want a fully stable android 2.3.5 then I would suggest the CM7 mod, as for 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0, I would suggest the Energy Rom. (Also both roms are NAND devs).
I think pretty much all sense 3 roms still have quite a few problems and every sense rom I have tried has been slow and laggy with graphical problems. There are a few sense 3 roms out now so your best bet is to try a few out and see if you are happy with any of them over a stock gingerbread rom which are alot smoother and more stable.
Start with ENERGY SENSE 3, RUNNYMEDE SENSE 3.5 and BOYPPC SENSE 3. Read the first few posts of each rom to see what works and what doesnt and also the last few pages of each rom to find out if there any problems with the latest version. You can then make up your own mind.
Mark.
ist there a link?
A sticky list would be great with data like :
Name - Camera (Stable, 720p) - Multitouch (Yes/no)
The dev forum is very uncomfortable for a clean search.

There is a website that a member made to compare all versions and hass a good look. The website is *HERE* and has a few filters to find the rom you want. It doesnt go into great depth but it has basic information and could be useful.
Mark.
I did about the same search. The glitches in every rom with Sense 3.0 did me drop Sense at all. I must say, in my experience the CM7 ROM with Fancy Widget is a good stable replacement.
CM7
Hey,
As you all know, the browser of our lovely I9001 is quite laggy as there is no (good) hardware acceleration. Is it possible to implement this properly into our browser or, even better, is it possible to port the browser of Ice Cream Sandwich to our device? I know there is already a lack of devs here, but because it seems quite difficult to get a whole ROM working properly on our device, it is even more worth trying to port single features of ICS, which might be easier...
Anyone has an idea if this is possible or even knows how to do?
Cheers

You could just use additional launcher from the market... Opera Mobile, Dolphin HD, Skyfire... They're all better than the stock ICS browser IMO
Sent from my GT-I9001 using XDA App
I am already using custom launcher and browser, because stock sucks at the moment. PLZ don't spam here and only post here if u follow my topic, which was porting features of ICS and not choosing apps from market.
Thx

Dude...your topic is about browser lol
Cannot understand your topic. If you have very high speed hardware but using bad browser also will make your browsing lag.
you could use network and wifi tweaks..
this would maybe also increase the speed of the browser

Build.prop tweaks supposedly has an effect.
IF u compile kernels, then jhash3 does increase speed significantly, but also causes battery drain.
