o2 Ative

Hi all can any one help please i wont to remove o2 ative from the extened rom, Can i do that with out loosing my GPRS , i just wont a simple interface when i need to do hard reset , Can any one give me a little advice please, Plus could i make a boot image so it can run from Sd card .
Sorry about this but is there any way of putting my Email conection direct in to the ext rom so if i do hard reset it still there.

If you remove the link from the \windows\startup directory and simply do a soft reset then Active sync wont automatically start, but if you do wont to use it, the link will still be on your start menu.
I recommend using Sprite Backup

Ah HELP PLEASE - Hard Reset and now MANY apps won't install?

Ahhhhhhh
I was forced to hard reset my K-JAM and am now having HORRIBLE problems.
Programs like Resco File Explorer and Omega 1-calc which DID install before now won't install.
Get a Cannot be installed error message.
I am tearing my hair out guys.
Anyone have any ideas WHY this is happening?
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!

What error exactly? Did you remove the security restrictions etc prior to installing?

What security restrictions?
I get a message asking if I want to continue, I say Yes.
It asks for a location, I tell it (storage card).
It starts to install then says cannot install try another location, I HAVE tried the other location (Internal) it does not work either.
However ALL of these programs HAD installed on this machine before I had to reset it!!!!!!
I just cannot figure out what is going wrong as SOME applications have installed fine.
SPB Pocket, SplashID etc.........

Had the same problem. Just soft-reset your device and retry.

Installation problems.....
I am having the same problem too.
Even after a hard reset when I try and install Sprite Backup & Agenda Fusion I keep getting the install error: 'cannot be installed, try another location'
It's driving me up the wall! I would have thought after a hard reset this wouldn't be an issue. I'm now the proud owner of an MDA Pro (Universal) that I can't use because the software I want to install won't install.
Can anyone help me please?

I have a big problem with my jam. So please can you help me:
My pda crashes during startup and stops on the blue imate screen. And that happened after I did the following:
The memory was too low but I found in the storage memory 7 MB and I wanted to install a game that was 7 MB too (note: I don't have a memory card) but the computer showed me the message "storage unavailable", but I installed it anyway and in the middle of installation the device stopped and when I made sofy reset it stopped on the imate blue screen and didn't continue starting. I tried to do Master reset (powerkey + resetkey) but the device refused to do it … I took it to a maintenance store and he tried to install a new rom but the problem continued "crashing during startup and stopping on the blue imate screen" (note: the phone was working fine before that)
so please cam you help me???

try a hard reset, but dont just tap it, hold the buttons in for a second.

Hard Reset

I made an upgrade to wm6.1 from wm2003 and always is gone right, installed manilla and other soft and all works well! Now I tried sun dream 6.5 rom and after the upgrade (I made an hard reset, power+reset!) the old programs installed previously are always there! I tried many times hard resets but my blue Angel start to freeze! I made a downgrade to wm6.1, now it works, but all the olds programs are always there! The system is instable, very slow. What can I do? It seems I made same error but what?
Any help is appreciate... TIA

Looks like you are flashing the 6.5 ROM without formatting the storage.
Have you tried this when you did the hard reset:
1. You'll see three options on screen. You must change the second and the third to yes. If you are not developing/testing software you can disable the first debug option for better performance.(“Enable KITL” must be NO, “Clean Registry Hive” must be YES, “Format Storage” must be YES)
2. Press the "Mail" button. A white screen will show for 30 seconds, while it is clearing your device in preparation for the new ROM to start executing

Thank you all guys! The problem was that my son upgraded the device from WM2003 to WM6.1 so i didn't know the new bootloader was installed!
anyway now it's all ok! thanks again

Help Installing CAB Files on Treo Pro

Everytime I download a CAB file and try to install on my Treo Pro I get an error message stating that runtime isn't installed. I tried finding runtime on my device but had no luck...any help would be appreciated.

Hate to offer the obvious, but have you done a hard reset? which cabs specifically aren't working? Are you installing them onto your device, or a memory card?

I have one a hard reset...no luck
Onto the device, not the mem card as I don't have one installed.
I can't get any cabs to install. I am trying to install Skyfire and/or Opera Mobile

Yep.
Removed bat door, used soft reset while holding red button...waited for the "erase all items" or whatever it says and then went through the process.
I know there is a ROM update out so I wonder if that will fix this. It's obviously something JAVA related that i can't seem to figure out.

Rom update? For the Treo Pro? Do you have a link for that?

I got it from a buddy who is a tech for Sprint.
