Hi!
I just got my xda2 yesterday and I'm having problems sending and recieving MMS messeges. Whenever I try to send them they never go though and it tries 3 times before aborting. Also I don't recieve MMS messeges properly either. If I try to send a MMS messege to my xda2 from another phone then I get a SMS messege from o2 saying to goto their website to view the picture.
I've tried playing around with the options in the Media Messeging program such as changing the Connect Via: option but without any success.
Any help would be much appricated
Contact O2 customer services & ask them to enable MMS support on your SIM card. That is the reason why you are not recieving the actual message & only getting the SMS alert as your SIM isn't on the N.A.P.
Spot on, that's what I had to do when I got my XDAII. It took about 10 mins for mine to be enabled.
If that doesn't work, then get them to replace the device...when I first got mine they tried to give me a reconditioned one in a "mixup"...in the end I kept it til I demanded they give me a new one....they did!
Cheers
Anthony
I updated to the latest iMate rom and for a time all seemed well with the only difference I could detect was a new button for GPRS disconnect and a little faster GPRS disconnect time. GPRS internet access worked fine.
However, this morning I got around to testing MMS and it has problems. First I tried to take and send a picture. After taking the picture a dialog came up asking whether I wanted it sent by MMS or email. I chose MMS and nothing happened so I ended the camera, executed MMS and tried to send a picture message from there. It refused to connect with wap.voicestream.com. So I tried sending a picture message to the JAM from my desktop. I got the notification and then a loop of trying to connect to wap.
Since I am on T-Mobile I decided to install the old MMS UK T-Mobile patch. This helped with the signon problem but I still cannot send a picture message to completion - it stops in the middle and tries to reconnect to wap. The same thing happens when I receive a picture mesage. All text messages sent and received with MMS seem to work fine.
Next I think I will remove the T-Mobile USA setting installed at the time of the UG and enter my own from scratch.
Guess I will keep messing with it but if nothing then I will probably go back to the original shipped rom for the 850.

I've had my 4350 for a week now and love it. I had a Dash earlier and just got tired of the volume/jogger issue. I also have a wizard, to which this phone is just a huge improvement over. However, I'm having an issue getting MMS to work on the Tmobile network. I've contacted Tmobile and spoke with their level 3 techs and they weren't able to make it work either. It connects to the network, but for some reason will not actually download or upload any data! Anyone else having that problem, or is there anyone with Tmobile that actually has their MMS working? Sometimes there are disadvantages to the being the first kid on the block to get a device!
Hey i´ve got it working with the Configuration of a .cab File :
https://shop.dangaard.de/files/Qtek/Qtek.htm
Go and have a try, i don`t know if this is German only...
The tricky part is that you have to create a separate MMS dialup-settings using you mobile carrier data provided, including the Proxy settings.
Then I had to look up the instruction that went with the device and it had a screenshot of what setting had to be entered in the MMS settings. Man, I was ready to kick the s**t out this gadget trying to make it sending MMS.
hi all -
Dropped my 8525 and broke the LCD screen, had insurance replace it (thanks Safeware!) and I got it back they didn't have to hard reset. Running WM6 , and have the CIngular medianet MMS cab - has always worked fine.
Get the phone back, text and phone calls works same as used to - however i can't get MMS or email and ie won't load any pages - it trys to, but after the first failed timeout it goes to a quick error box saying "page cannot be loaded"
tried un and re installing the MMS cab, no avail. weirdest thing is, wifi works fine also. anyone know enough about the build to know if the data unit is seperate from wifi? not sure what could be the problem -
worth a hard reset and reformat or just send it back to the insurance carriers shop?
ps, had a tilt in the meantime whilie it was being fixed, adn they gave me a new SIM card for that (att) and i took it out and put it back into the 8525.
anyone have any suggestions?? thanks guys

If you have a new sim card.....you might not have data enabled on it. but first check if the settings for data are there otherwise call AT&T about it.
I use Tmobile. Before i bought the Touch Pro 2, i owned a Nokia Supernova. I randomly lost the ability to send and receive picture messages. Since i was planning on buying a new phone anyway, i figured the problem will just be fixed when i do that.
It has been a couple months now with my HTC and the thought had completely left my mind until this week when various MMS messages needed to be sent and received and it was not happening. I then remembered the problem and realized that a new phone has not fixed the problem.
I have googled the problem and i have found it is common, however, everyone's experience with tech support has been the same "Hard Reset the device"
1. i doubt that will fix the problem since i have flashed 2 roms since i got the phone. Energyrom with CHT. The first just being an early build than the second.
2. the ONLY "solution" that i did find, did not work for me. [http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/T-Mobile-Touch-Pro2/Can-t-Send-MMS-messages-HELP/m-p/268108]
And so as a last resort, i have come here to ask for some help.
Other than the 21 steps found in the above link, i have also tried the "Automatically Configure Connection" option on my device.
Thank you in advance.
Been having the same problem since my Tmo usa touch pro 2 and now the problem is back on my hd2. Tmo is not doing anything about this problem and its really pissing me the hell off man.
my sms/mms work fine on my unlocked tilt, even work on my nokia 6510. OP, ahve you contacted them and let them know about the issue?
I have used what is in that link for my old htc wizard, and now tilt. Worked great. Are you using the stock ROM or custom? I might recommend running a custom ROM and/or downloading the "connection setting" wizard.
hi. i have unlocked x10 and not been able to send or receive either. hard reset nothing. checked apn settings but nothing. with o2 and was advised that my sim card was 4 years old and only 2g. aparently i need a 3g sim card and he thinks this will work. have to wait 3 days for it. but strangely my previous phone was sony satio which was also a 3g but worked fine. but this is not uncommon aparently. so hopefully new 3g sim card will work. hope this will be helpful.
I have a touch pro 2 as well and under connection there should be a seperate tmobile connect that says tmobilee mms make sure everything in there is configured correctly,
I'm on prepaid, so I'm not sure if it's the same for those on contract.
One setting I found I needed to change to get MMS to work correctly (besides the obvious), is to change the WAP Version to 1.2....

i think it would help my situation (as well as others who are looking) if you would please post your settings under the T-Mobile MMS selection. because i have no idea if it is configured correctly.
What about for imagio
I am having similar problems, I have an imago and cant find out how to get mms, everytime i send a message it gets stuck in my outbox and received messages are blank, anyone know how to fix this, also i cant find the apn screen anywhere
Did you checked if your APN settings were still ok ?
After me flashing my phone i couldnt send/recieve mms either, Checked my APN settings, and they were not configured anymore. Went to the site of Vodafone and there it said which data i had to enter.
