Expansys.com is advertising that the HD will be out in 5 days at 510 UKP.
Anyone can confirm if it's coming out sooner that expected?

Well in Cyprus, the Xperia is coming on Saturday and the HD is coming at the end of the month.
But if i am not mistaken, I got my Diamond from Expansys before anyone else in the world had it. And I know that they (Expansys) msut have some kind of deal with HTC because they are always the first ones to get the phones in before anybody else.
That's why I believe once again they will be the first ones to get it in.
Then again, that's my humble opinion.

Well I live in America, and that converted to USD is $887.
I dunno if I'll pay that much for that phone

If not for that phone, for what else? There's no other phone in the world that can compete with the Touch HD, so I'd pay (almost) every price...

the web page says literally:
"We have no confirmed lead time for this item - call for more details".

Anyone know how long it would take to get something shipped from expansys to the US? How quick could someone in the states get a phone instock from them?

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble (including my own) but I just called them and they said it's still expected for early november, so I guess the 5-day waiting time is wrong.

Exapnsys USA is the guys I called, and they confirmed it wouldn't be out till november.

10th nobvembr o expansys uk
they only had the diamond first because they were grey imports
im sure htc said they would never let expansys sell htc again
i guess they realised they would miss out on loads and loads of sales

The order tracking status today says:
HTC Touch HD (UK, English, GPS) 1 1 Estimated 27 Days
I also notice the price is higher today....

they haven't announced a price yet though.

[Q] HTC has now delayed release of the HTC Desire Z until the end of October.

Thats what I got when asked for update on my pre-order. Is this true for all resellers? :-(
UPDATE at 10:25 on 03.11.2010: Clove website now says "First stock arriving today!"
UPDATE: at 12:00 on 04.11.2010: Clove just shipped my Desire Z! All gig stores in UK are shipping orders.

I've been told October 11 as the stock date for UK by an ebay reseller.
He better not be lying.

The Release date is confirmed to be the 6th of this month and should be dispatched same day if not the definitely the 7th.

that's because of the QWERTZ keyboard I think, for QWERTY it is still due 13 Oct (Expansys.co.uk)

My retailer still states the 8th Oct, however i dunno if thats an estimate or not. Not particularly desperate really since i have already placed my order so should be towards the front of the queue when they get them

I've ordered it through expansys in Italy and it's reporting October 11.

Amazon site says 1st Nov, but in my account it says estimated delivery 12th Oct... hmmm I also hope it is because they have sold out their first batch rather than just a rubbish ordering system (you'd hope not with amazon!).

Well, I spoke to Handtec earlier, and they said they're waiting to hear from HTC today, and will update the website accordingly... To me, it sounded like they knew it would be delayed, but were just waiting a bit longer to update their website...

Spoke to play this morning. She said the delay is confirmed but they don't know whether its a simple straight up delay or a manufacturing issue. Im starting to wonder if It's something to do with the z hinge complaints people are having.

Expansys change release date to Oct 18

Is this one of those things where a retailer's HTC Partner Status means something? The retailer I have my preorder with is an "Ultimate Partner", and they haven't announced any delay yet.

As far as I was aware, Clove are a HTC Ultimate Partner, and they were amongst the first to say there was a delay... So, I think it's possibly just a case of there is truth in the rumour
Can't understand why not all retailers have changed their dates though...

Was holding off with my order but have just ordered through clove.co.uk so hopefully will have my hands on this badboy next week!

Their website states the 11th Oct which is still better then Nov.

Yer im confused as to what to follow .... maybe 6th is the date but they are saying 11th just in case there is a lil delay

I hope you do get it asap. But when I ordered the HTC HD2 from superetrader they advertised as in stock & immediate shipping 2 days before the actual release date. So I rang them & they said yep we have 3 in now for immediate shipping so I ordered & waited the next day & the next, so I rang them & they said that they hadn't had chance to pack it & post it. Another day went by & nothing, so i rang & same excuse.
3 days later when everyone else was shipping did I get mine.
I won't be using them again.
Hope u have no problems with them, I just don't believe a word they say.

I went into Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U in Aberdeen today and neither had a clue when it would be in stock. One salesman suggested the end of November.
I accept there will be a delay between online and retail but even that seems a bit much.

I'm pinning my hopes on orange as I'm due for an upgrade now-ish. Hopefully they'll get their collective arse in gear and stock the HD before too long. However I feel I'm going to be waiting longer than I want to

Got told by Orange that its gonna be November time
Gutted as my upgrade is due now, so my beloved Hero will have to hold on a little longer

I really hope Orange get this phone. I'm due my upgrade in 6 weeks. I'm not that confident and I don't really want to switch networks and lose all my loyalty perks. Fingers and toes crossed.

My HERO is serving well with Elelinux V1.9 but it is time upgrade. The phone is starting to age very rapidly and I think it's slowly dying I can wait until november but I hope it doesn't slip.

It seems Clove is now saying that the release date is now "early-mid November" which is very disappointing. However, according to their Blog, anyone who accepted an invitation to confirm their order on the basis of a release date of 1 Nov can get a refund. If the original 17 Nov proves to be the actual release date then I'm not sure it is worth asking for a refund and risk not getting delivery on the 17 November or even before Xmas because you will have lost your place in the queue.

Clove are saying it could be "early-mid November" so it could be earlier than 17 Nov.

Do you think there is going to be a huge demand for this phone? I figured the price alone would hurt its sales. I haven't even put a pre-order in yet, as I figured places would have plenty of stock. What are people's thoughts on availability??

It's looking like mid November possibly later. Touch Wiz has to be able to handle Ice Cream (rumor.)

The release date still hasn't been confirmed. I have pre-ordered from expansys which says could be available on 28th. That's the next day of Samsung's 27th announcement.

Third party vendors on the german amazon claim to already have it in stock. However my "original" amazon will be delivered in "1 to 3 weeks".

Hm, I was thinking that too - in about a month this device will sell at least 20% below release date prices. By that time there would be reliable root and a decent Touchwiz ROM. An AOSP ICS ROM will also likely appear before the end of November.
Problem is, demand is going to pick up with the Christmas shopping madness, so prices will not be dropping as fast in December.
I will probably get myself one of tthese Notes towards the end of Jan. - the usual retail capitulation time of year. Will not pay over 400 euro for a smartphone - even 400 is ridiculous.
By that time I guess it's going to be clear if you guys early adopters like it.

I don't think the device will drop 20% in 2 month. I took a look at SGSII, the price is still high, dropped 100 EUR in a year. Note might not sell the same number of phones, so you might be right, but phones don't lose value until around 4-6 months.(Unless Samsung announce: NO ICS FOR NOTE ) aftar that you et it for free

It is not being sold by Amazon UK, but by a third party dealer called Soteluk who are located in Germany and who are quoting a delivery date of 3-18 business days, so not necessarily an earlier delivery than UK based retailers such as Clove.

Possible ONE UK deliveries next week!

Fingers crossed 3 have told me it could come next week (but the expected date on their website is in fact just a latest expected date) but they'll let me know, and if they let me know. I'll let you know!
Also buymobilephones.net told me that they were expecting stock by the 18th so there could be hope hat HTC are back on track and have pulled it back. Atleast on the Silver handset anyway.
So if you're being put off by a possible wait its worth asking the question rather than just not bothering because you think its late anyway.

I had same conversation with CPW last week they told me while estimated date on the site and sent out in Texts is 29th there is a chance stock will come sooner, I'm so hoping mid next week

Buymobilephones.net have updated me on Twitter saying 28th.
Perhaps 3 were indeed just pulling a fast one.

Anyone had any updates as yet on deliveries? Been trying to get through to someone at 3 that knows anything at all about anything but it seems today they're only letting people that at aged 30 are still having their asses changed by their mothers answer the calls!

Regarding 3 - I ordered the silver version on Saturday afternoon - spoke to someone on the helpline yesterday (Monday 18th) and she said it would be delivered today (19th), but I rang again to confirm this morning but it was still in the warehouse and not due for despatch later today. Rang again a few minutes ago to see if was going out tonight, but now been told that only orders made on or before last Friday would be going out this week - any orders made Saturday onwards would be delivered for the 28th (which is fair enough I suppose, as that's what it said on the website when I ordered). Thought there was a sneaky chance I might get it early for a moment, but not to be.

Yes I was told there was a chance of delivery today but apon calling today it was like everyone had forgotten the One existed or something. Acting properly stupid! They said they had stock coming in and I could hopefully have it by today but it seems they're saying one thing and doing another!
I don't mind too much as long as it does come by the 28th as promised, but it annoys me that they say something to get your hopes up then don't follow through. Gits!

I don't understand how every reseller has such different stock levels, availability and delivery dates....HTC have announced on Twitter that they've been rolling the phone out since Friday gone!!!
