This Thred has become a huge disscusion about when companys will ship the Desire HD so here is a short summery of the dates as they stand now.

Their website states the 11th Oct which is still better then Nov.

I hope you do get it asap. But when I ordered the HTC HD2 from superetrader they advertised as in stock & immediate shipping 2 days before the actual release date. So I rang them & they said yep we have 3 in now for immediate shipping so I ordered & waited the next day & the next, so I rang them & they said that they hadn't had chance to pack it & post it. Another day went by & nothing, so i rang & same excuse.
3 days later when everyone else was shipping did I get mine.
I won't be using them again.
Hope u have no problems with them, I just don't believe a word they say.

Shame, but I still keep finding new fun things to do with my HTC Desire, so maybe a little longer before I send it off to a new owner isn't too bad...

I went into Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U in Aberdeen today and neither had a clue when it would be in stock. One salesman suggested the end of November.
I accept there will be a delay between online and retail but even that seems a bit much.
I'm pinning my hopes on orange as I'm due for an upgrade now-ish. Hopefully they'll get their collective arse in gear and stock the HD before too long. However I feel I'm going to be waiting longer than I want to

Got told by Orange that its gonna be November time
Gutted as my upgrade is due now, so my beloved Hero will have to hold on a little longer
I really hope Orange get this phone. I'm due my upgrade in 6 weeks. I'm not that confident and I don't really want to switch networks and lose all my loyalty perks. Fingers and toes crossed.

My HERO is serving well with Elelinux V1.9 but it is time upgrade. The phone is starting to age very rapidly and I think it's slowly dying I can wait until november but I hope it doesn't slip.

Exactly the same situation here. Placed order on Sunday, they failed to call me back on the Monday when 1000 units came into them, so I never got one of those, so i was advised to place my order online as more expected Friday and I did, now got an email saying early December. Called Voda who were very apologetic and if I can wait till the 12th then they will compensate me as I should have had my phone by now.

This phone has been a lot more popular than Vodafone thought it would be.
Apparently people stayed away from the HTC Magic when it came out because they hadn't heard of HTC.
Don't think we can blame them for everything. I hope you get one soon mate! Vodafone are usually pretty good with fixing problems. Especially when they create them!
Same problem with voda here, on top of that I enquired as what would happen with my number transfer (my pac expires 12 December) in case they can't deliver a phone by then, they told me they had no record of my pac/number to be transfered... ooops must have fallen into a black hole then lol.
Not bothered about waiting but very annoyed about not being informed about delays before ordering and the fact that they did the credit check straight away...
Sent a lovely email to the UK CEO (yes, I can be polite and explain things clearly when I want to lol). I've just got a reply from him (about 1 hour after I sent it) apologising for letting me down and saying he'll get someone from his office to call me to "see how we straighten this out"

I admit I was impressed. I thought it'd take a few days to get a reply and that I'd just get a standard apology penned by the PR people. No idea how long till I get the call though but will keep you informed.
Some Vodaphone stores had stock in, looked at one in Taunton and Weston super Mare had stock. Would only do 24 month contract though so decided to wait.

Will do though I can't really see how they'd get me a phone if they can't get stock from HTC before December. Still, I'm hoping that at the very least my account will get a note along the lines of "do not mess up, the stupid cow will complain to the ceo" .

I Phoned tmobile yesterday and was told the hd2 is in stock but only on a 18 month contract. Vodafone tell me they have sold all there stock over the weekend and will not be getting more until the 27th of nov. Vodafone are not listing 12 month contracts but if you phone them and ask they will offer one. I Just cant wait until the 27th.

Me and many others with outstanding orders got this email from Vodafone:
"We have received unprecedented demand for the HTC HD2, and due to shortages from the manufacturer – we are experiencing slight delays in receiving your handset. We are doing everything we can to obtain further stock and will be the first to receive the next deliveries. Currently we expect these to arrive early in December."
That's a funny definition of slight delays Not sure where the 27th November date they've given you is coming from.

I couldn't get them to offer anything shorter than 18 months, so if 12 months is what you're after you may just want to order before they change their mind again
12 month contracts are very rare in premium mobiles these days. Given the lowest possible monthly amount is around £35 and premium phones are around £500 or so, the companies only get £420 out of you.
However, on an 18 month contract at minimum of £35 they get around £630 from you. At least this pays for phone.
As for stock, I would have hoped they could have had more in before the start of December. Must be because the phone has probably been more popular than HTC imagined it would be.
Dear all, I was initially awaiting for the countdown of my DHD from Expansys, and supposedly its another 11 days to the 11th of Oct whereby our DHD will be released... But when I checked my order status just now, the estimated delivery date becomes 19 days... Is it that the system has problems, or is it that HTC decided to postpone the release date of DHD?
I'm expecting some sort of delay from HTC. I think we're probably going to be ending up looking towards the end of October for release and us actually having the handset in our hands.
MPD still says 11th. We shall see.

In my past experience release dates mean nothing. There always seam to be a delay of some sort. I agree with the end of October being a more realistic time of this phone getting in my hand. I wanted it back on September 15th but good things come to those who wait I suppose.

The release date will delay in Finland even further, or do you think that HTC has made enough phones this time to answer the demand?
I too am suspecting a delay .... there have been no reviews by any of the android sites which is normal a week or so before launch to gain interest for the phone and the blogging has been quiet as well.
Disappointed but not surprised, again it will be interesting to hear what the cause of this is. I am watching the prices of Desires on ebay as they are going down in price and am wondering whether the DHD is worth the differential!!

I called Vodafone tonight, they still have no release date for the Desire HD, but their Desire Z release date is November 1st. Somehow the guy managed to talk me into buying a Galaxy S.

Solid reviews? Have there been any yet. Normally Engadget are pretty hot with reviews and I'm keeping my ear close to the ground for any rumblings of hands on other than the leaks.

All Swedish online retailers I've checked have October 14th-16th as the release date, and that's how it's been ever since the DHD first appeared on those sites. It's never had an earlier date than that in Sweden.
My order at Expansys still has the 11th/12th October delivery date. Let's hope it stays that way

that's because of the QWERTZ keyboard I think, for QWERTY it is still due 13 Oct (Expansys.co.uk)
My retailer still states the 8th Oct, however i dunno if thats an estimate or not. Not particularly desperate really since i have already placed my order so should be towards the front of the queue when they get them
I've ordered it through expansys in Italy and it's reporting October 11.
Amazon site says 1st Nov, but in my account it says estimated delivery 12th Oct... hmmm I also hope it is because they have sold out their first batch rather than just a rubbish ordering system (you'd hope not with amazon!).

Well, I spoke to Handtec earlier, and they said they're waiting to hear from HTC today, and will update the website accordingly... To me, it sounded like they knew it would be delayed, but were just waiting a bit longer to update their website...
Spoke to play this morning. She said the delay is confirmed but they don't know whether its a simple straight up delay or a manufacturing issue. Im starting to wonder if It's something to do with the z hinge complaints people are having.

Expansys change release date to Oct 18
Is this one of those things where a retailer's HTC Partner Status means something? The retailer I have my preorder with is an "Ultimate Partner", and they haven't announced any delay yet.
As far as I was aware, Clove are a HTC Ultimate Partner, and they were amongst the first to say there was a delay... So, I think it's possibly just a case of there is truth in the rumour
Can't understand why not all retailers have changed their dates though...

Fingers crossed 3 have told me it could come next week (but the expected date on their website is in fact just a latest expected date) but they'll let me know, and if they let me know. I'll let you know!
Also buymobilephones.net told me that they were expecting stock by the 18th so there could be hope hat HTC are back on track and have pulled it back. Atleast on the Silver handset anyway.
So if you're being put off by a possible wait its worth asking the question rather than just not bothering because you think its late anyway.

I had same conversation with CPW last week they told me while estimated date on the site and sent out in Texts is 29th there is a chance stock will come sooner, I'm so hoping mid next week

Rang again a few minutes ago to see if was going out tonight, but now been told that only orders made on or before last Friday would be going out this week - any orders made Saturday onwards would be delivered for the 28th (which is fair enough I suppose, as that's what it said on the website when I ordered). Thought there was a sneaky chance I might get it early for a moment, but not to be.

Yes I was told there was a chance of delivery today but apon calling today it was like everyone had forgotten the One existed or something. Acting properly stupid! They said they had stock coming in and I could hopefully have it by today but it seems they're saying one thing and doing another!
I don't mind too much as long as it does come by the 28th as promised, but it annoys me that they say something to get your hopes up then don't follow through. Gits!

Latest official information from HTC Benelux is that they "hope" pre-orders can be sent units from the 5th of April, but the official date they've promised so far is the 15th of April.
I've ordered a black one from Coolblue.nl on the 3rd of March and so far there hasn't been any indication of delivery, even though their webpage still shows first deliveries are expected on the 5th of April.
Here's an overview of all the shops that the phone can be pre-ordered from.
Studentmobiel.nl still have it down for 15 April dispatch

Website says mine will ship in 5days now, mailed them today to ask about the htc media link hd i ordered with the phone since that one said ready to ship some days ago but now says 4days and seems not to count down anymore now

That sounds like a way off estimate to me. I'm expecting one to be sent to me free of charge for certain reasons, and so I agreed to wait until the initial pre-orders and first rush had been satisfied, and I'm still being told to expect to receive it before the end of April.
Maybe you need to shop around some of the specialist shops rather than a big wholesaler of everything ...

I ordered from Handtec.co.uk but i also made a reservation at Belcompany (rotterdam) and Alternate. Handtec expects delivery on the 3rd so if i'm lucky I'll get mine the 4th or 5th. Belcompany expect the phone on the 5th and Alternate says "begin of april". So I'm really curious which one will show up first.
My preorder is dated 22 February from Coolblue! I'm sure all preorders will be handled according to date, that's only fair. Still, waiting is a *****. The worst part is that HTC isn't communicating. I wish they were a little more open about this, even if they have problems- tell us.
I'll update this thread when I hear more about mine.
I also placed reservations and orders at Amazon.de and Mediamarkt Berlin as I'm going there in a few days...
From what I've read online the first batch will arrive to some stores at the 5th but with limited amount. First this was supposed to be on the 1st.. The 15th most others will arrive.
I've ordered mine (the black one, pun intended) from gsmstunter. They expect it to arrive Friday or Monday.

Ordered from centralpoint, it is said to be shipped the 23th of april. I would also want HTC to be more clear about when it is going to be released.

I recognize this from my telecommunications company in Sweden, Tele2. When I ordered I was told 26th march. Still no phone. But this morning it was "Out of stock" and now its 6-8 weeks.
Telia (another telecommunications company) had 18th april, then this morning it had 4rd april and now back to 18th april.
This release must be a big fiasco.
really impatient to wait, you have ordered a black one, i prefer the sliver, and i would like to try it in the local shop, and decide whether should i change the new HTC one.
Orderd a black one at belsimpel.nl on 15 march.
Still no exact day from them when i will receive it although there site states 2 weeks for new ones.
Hope mine will come faster though as ive heard from customer service they will receive some at 5th of april

I just called them to ask for an update.
Belsimpel is still expecting there first batch of one's on 5th of april.
If they receive it the 5th they will prepare my package and send it, so monday could be my lucky day.
At least i now have the confirmation mine will be shipped with the first batch they receive

Mediamarkt or Saturn offers HTC one for 599€, 699€ is too much.
Original plan was getting one from london at a Phones4U store, but they didn't had one.
I was on the phone today with coolblue and the employee told me that they were expecting to ship friday.
