In the Blackstone forum someone had a GREAT idea!
An alphabet slider in the manilla audio tab!
Like in contacts..
So we can browse through our music faster!
I have got 5 Gigabyte's music on my little blackstone
and scrolling through is a pain in the *ss
So.... Any developers out there willing to give this a try?

Hi there!
I have been fooling with Manila a bunch and there are still a few memory bugs with it but I am really liking the speed over throttlelauncher and a bunch of other stuff. Anyway I have been doing some research into the integration of other programs with the Manila 2D. I had a few questions. Wondering if anyone has any ideas.
1. Is it possible to incorporate S2P and S2V instead of HTC Album and HTC Player for the Music and Pictures tab?
2. Is it possible to add a stock tab into manila? Idea I had was to incorporate it with KLO Stocker. Or has anyone developed a stock tab for Manila 2d?
3. Why does Manila close programs on its own to make more memory?
4. Why does the manila not work in landscape. With the latest version and I slide my keyboard open, Manila minimizes whatever program I am using and instead of staying landscape it pushes it back to portrat mode and goes back to Manila. What should I do? With the keyboard open it screen stays portrait until I close the keyboard and then open it again. What should I do?
Any help would be great but the idea for Stock would be sweeeett! Ideas?
Bump, I would also like to know if it is possible to integrate s2p into m2d.

I was suggested to post here

RSS scroller / ticker on Dutty
I think I saw this on a Dutty ROM for the HD2 once.
Don't have Dutty anymore but that should be a good place to start
(I would love to have a RSS ticker in Cookie Hometab and SMS / Twitter updates overlaid on the homescreen, iPhone style)

I just moved from the Sprint Touch to the diamond. While tf3d is fairly pretty its functionality is buried too deep.
the part I especially miss the swipe up shortcut to the 9 contacts page.
Has anyone been able to port it to the Diamond ? I dont want to replace tf3D just add the swipe up to contacts page feature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I just wondered what people thought of the Manila 2.5?
I've tried several ROM's and bugs aside, there are some things I like and some things I hate!
I like the weather on the clock on homepage, but I don't like the shortcuts as i think they are ugly and make the screen look cluttered. I much preferred the old programs tab. I also really need to see more calender data!
I like the new music player look, but dislike the new contacts look.
I really like the deeper intergration of WM into manila UI
I like the coloured icons and general look of manila, and i really love the new messaging system (when the bugs are fixed ).
What do other people think?
I don't like the look of the homescreen, I prefer Manila 2.0/2.1's look.
well.. the same food gives different tastes for everyone .
I like the new homescreen, its more usable, although I think the 3 buttons are too big... sliding down gives more shortcuts, which is more convenient...
I also really like the new people tab shortcut style... the old one is making me crazy when sliding those small thumbnails on the rite...
other than that, I dont know.. never used one before... for me, its all about convenience and usability... there is no point of having nice GUI, but hard to use. And to me, HTC is going on the right track
Hello all, I don't really like how the "Favorite People" Contacts are displayed in TF3D, Are there any upgrades/fixes to display the contacts like HTC HOME used to do back in the day? With "Rows" of little squares with the persons picture? I hate the rolodex style scrolling of contacts and the little bar on the side, I'd prefer a bunch of boxes lined up side by side, is this possible? thanks again.
Any cooked ROM with HTC Sense 2.5 (aka TF3D 2.5, Manila 2.5, etc.) ripped from the new HTC Leo has the new contacts tab, which has contacts arranged in a grid, similar to the HTC Home/Manila 2D contacts tab. If you take a look around the Rhodium ROM Development forum, you'll find a variety of ROM choices which have HTC Sense 2.5.
thank you for the fast response. I tried out the Sense 2.5 Rom ripped from LEO and this is exactly what I am looking for but I cannot use this rom. It doesn't recognize the slide-out keyboard and this is a major problem for me. I can't believe people actually use this rom when the phone doesn't go into landscape when the keyboard is slid out..very weird if you ask me. Anyways are there any programs that can give me a favorites tab with the grid I am looking for? thanks.

At the top of this forum, there's a thread titled [RELEASED]Full landscape for manila 2.5[v 1.0][PROJECT PULSE], which is a project to hack landscape support to Manila 2.5. As for the ROMs you've tried, the devices can still be in landscape in every other application. It's only the homescreen which couldn't, and now there's the project I mentioned above which hopes to fix that. But keep in mind that it's still an early release, and it might not work very elegantly.
