Hi,
Can the HTC Hero browser be configured to start zoomed out fully?
Tx
I'm interested in the answer and if someone know how to make the browser scrolls slower I'm in too !
Thanks !
I'd like to see a way to make it start unzoomed or just zoom out automatically at startup.
Hope an app or something can help out

We can scroll through your photo list by sliding your finger along the picture by full screen. If anyone can make it. It's so great.
I see "icontact" & iMedia Player" is the great job of PPC. We have enough experience to do it. I think the "iPhoto" is not the problem.
Hope it will some soon.

It may so hard for PPC because PPC can't make 2 fingers actions at the same time
get Picsel browser and select your jpg's to open with this program, its pretty close to the iphone interface.

no need for 2 finger actions. you'll do them separate... bottom up change pic, sideways zoom in...
it's being used on the touch flow cube...
as for picsel browser.... looks very nice... ill try it and report!

I have tried Picsel. But it is not so good, because the performace is not so good in showing pictures.
Hey Guys, Byka is working on a PictureViewer.

I use this one on my touch

Not sure if it will works with other PPC's but I really like it.
I started writing something exactly like you're describing, but I haven't finished it. I've been busy trying to finish up this job and find a new job and haven't had as much free time for programming. I'll do a little more work on it when I get a chance and see what you guys think.
picsel is ultra slow at loading...
bika's still in dev... though it looks awesome!
pictureviewer 1.6 didn't work for me... I'm guessing there's a problem in the cfnet version?

I just tested in WM5. It works. But I don't like the design.
Byka's PictureViewer is good design. I have some idea.
1) In photo list mode, we can scroll (left or right) pictures in the list one by one.
2) Double click the photo to enlarge the photo to full screen.
3) In full screen mode, have a zoom & move function.
4) double click the screen to back to photo list mode.
Base on our current technology, it should not be hard to do. I am shameful that I don't know the programming so much.
SIMPLE IS THE BEST

simple, yet works, but still early in development. it does most of what you ask, except to zoom, you tap the screen.
I just installed Opera Mobile 9.5 and I am trying to get the zoom to work better. I was playing around with the opera:config and can't seem to get it right. Anyone know where I can find a recommended setup with the "adaptive zoom" for a QVGA device?
Also is there anyway to make it scroll faster after a "flick"?
I did search I and could not find anything...
thanks for any input!!

I use it on Athena. A big screen in VGA format, so my settings are different, but they are: 800, 145, 95, 125, 860. This lets me click shortlinh on page without first zooming the page. And I can read text without zooming (hardly, but I can). Zoomnig the page gives me exactly tthe size of text as it should be without oversizing.
hi
im also looking for the setting, to make the "flick" more sensitive
well i have gone and deleted them could some kind sole upload them please
im going to stop messing , love the phone but not use to having to mess around so much to customise it with apps etc i ts a uk tp2
thanks

i went to the website called zedge.net and found some pretty awesome wallpapers for my sprint TP2 the only problem is is that when the picture goes to landscape when i want to use the qwerty keyboard it just zooms in and doesnt look to good. How can i have it to where when i use the qwerty keyboard the wallpaper becomes a different picture on landscape
Hi,
Ive been using Opera Mobile 10 since the 3rd beta came out and I totally love it. The zooming works great and I dont really miss pinch to zoom.
Sometimes though I wish I could click links while zoomed out (I know theres a registry edit for 9.7 but I didntvfind anything for 10, I even checked about:config) or disable the zoom completly on some sites where it isnt needed in the first place (google.com/reader/i/ for example)
Can anyone help me with this? Its driving me insane XD
Thanks in advance
Is there really no one who could help me?
I only want to get the iPhone google reader to be displayed in opera mobile 10 so its actually useful
Another problem Im having is that the text is displayed way to small (see screenshot)
---edit---
So it turns out I cant post an attachment from my HD2. Ill post one when I get home.
I found one topic on this and no one replied, I want to stop opera from rotating in every direction. Opera 9.7 rotates only in the anti clockwise direction and i want this for opera 10 but have no idea how to! BSB Tweaks doesnt work
Thank you!
why not? I feel good for that all-way rotating ^_^
Actually funnily enough, everybody who i have come across asking for this all have the same reason! surfing the internet in bed! When you are lying on your side, the screen rotates and you have to keep it at an odd angle to stop it from rotating. I dont want to stop it rotating, just want it to rotate in one direction, so i can lie in bed accordingly and stop it from rotating!

Ha I surf in bed and it does my head and neck in when it rotates around!
One work around I have found is load opera 10 with the phone upright then press the home button. Then rotate phone around to landscape mode and re-load opera. This stops the auto rotation on my BTJ ROM saving my neck
Unfortunatley the roms i use dont support landscape, to be honest im looking for a more complete solution. Thank you for the suggestion
It would be nice to have something that could turn g-sensor rotation on/off instantaneously...
i forgot where i saw this, but if you edit registry \\HKLM\Software\Opera\GSensor\ and give "IdleTime" a huge value (i have 2000000) on mine, opera will not rotate for a long long time
Oh cool, genious idea! haha thank you for that
this is an excellent reg tweak. I was surfing on my Tilt 2 walking around the grocery stor yesterday and every time I would look to see if the next page was loaded it was upside down.
Its amazing how it only takes a split second for the page to go some way you dont want it but it takes 5 full seconds to get the silly thing to straiten up.
C'mon Opera..... did we really need the screen to be able to go upside down!
Thanks for the fix ya'll.
This rotation issue has been driving me nuts. i read a lot in bed, especially feeds set up using Google Reader Have been using the idletime tweak, but it is not an ideal solution.
it simply disables rotation, instead of controlling it the way you want. on android phones, the browser rotates only 270 degrees. this makes it easy to read in landscape without having the browser rotating 'out of phase'.
tried couple of those g-sensor apps. Opera 10 seems impervious to these! is there a better solution that can be switched on/off at will?
Also, need help on couple of other issues:
1] how do i open new tabs in background? as mentioned, i consume lot of feeds, and prefer opening links in background, without being forced to go to the new tabs and then return to the original window every time.
2] how do i spoof the user agent? the hd2 has a screen that makes it easy to consume pages meant for desktop browsing. it bugs me that i keep being sent to mobile versions, especially for sites like gizmodo or engagdet. i would like to decide which version i want to go to! came across a thread with registry tweaks and multiple config file changes... was too much for a non-techie like me.
can any of the wonderful devs out here whip up a script that we noobs can simply run? thanks!
