Hi there to all of you from Italy.
since some months a strange thing happens to my qtek9000. what happens is that when I receive a call I hear nothing and to hear I have to put the call on speaker. After that, I can go back to the call turning off the speakers.
I really don't know what to do here.
I don't know if this issue was covered before. if so, please excuse me for it.
here's some of my qtek info:
rom 1.30.89 ITA
radio 1.09.00
protocol version 42.42.P8
extrom 1.30.177 ITA
let me know if you need some more info about this.
all the bests
Michael

Hi,
I flashed my Dutch MDA Compact with the 1.06 Swedish QTEK roms and the 1.05 Radio Stack. But now, all of a sudden, when I use my speakerphone, the other side has a lot of trouble hearing me properly. Does anyone have a solution to this?
I already tried hard resetting my device several times, but this did not solve anything!
Other than this, I am quite happy with the update...
try lowering the volume of the speakerphone. Just by using the volumeswitch.
I'm affraid this did not solve my problem.
To be more precise: people on the other side of the line only hear bits of me talking, like i am breaking up or something.
Any other suggestions?

I can't help you but I have exactly the same problem.
I bought a Dutch T-Mobile (English ROM) last week and I immediatelijk flashed it with the QTEC 1.06 end radio 1.05.
I never user the phone with the original ROM, so I don't know if that had a better quality?
I've the original T-Mobile Dutch ROM still in place. No problem with the other side not being able to hear me. I've seen a lot of messages on upgrading the ROM. But I've seen very few messages telling me what you would gain. Also the sound of the speaker using the phone is fine to me.
AK
mine is unlocked, and I'm using it on Orange network.
ROM 1.01.00 WWE
Radio 1.00.10
ExtROM 1.01.124 WWE

Same here. What will a compact owner gain? I did upgrade my camera though. Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18244
I just bought it in HK and quite happy, except the fact that the speaker (front) is very weak and i cant hear my friends (wife) during a call.
My ROM version is 1.03.00 WWE, Radio version 1.01.00
I heard there is a patch for this problem (that also takes care of a camera problem) . is it true ? where can i download this patch ?
Thanks in advance
hi you may want to check if you have adjusted the earpiece volume. when talking on the phone slide up the volume button and see if there is any improvement. to check for rom updates and patches. goto the O2 website.
It looks like you are using the original ROM that came on the I-Mate Jam. The new radio version is 1.05 and is much louder then the original radio.
Thanks.
Can you recommend where it is safe to download ROM ver 1.05 ?
radio 1.10 is more better because gprs problem is fixed.
what gprs problem? My gprs works fine?
Any way to make the speaker louder?
Yes, sell it and get a mobile phone. LOL.
Hi,
My Wizard works fine except for one problem: when using it as a phone, the little top center speaker doesn't work; I hear nothing.
(no, changing the volume level doesn't help.)
I can now only use it as a phone by either activating the speaker phone function (which lets everone else around me hear what's being said), or use a bluetooth headset.
Both are not really convenient.
Is there any way to test the center speaker without first disassembling the whole thing? activate it with another program besides 'telephone'?
Maybe such a test shows the speaker itself is OK, so no disassembling needed (but what then...).
Any help is welcome.

Simlock and CIDlock free.
It has also run the original and updates T-Mobile ROMS with the same problem: no center speaker.

Since a couple of days I have the following problem:
When I switch on the Jabra BT250 the hand free symbol appears in the phone aplication, but when I call or a call comes in, the symbol disappears and the headset doesn't activate.
I tried already deleting and and pairing it again, without success.
Some time ago it worked without problems.
Any ideas?
Just asking again, if someone knows about this problem.
It looks like a ROM problem...
I have this original ROM:
ROM: 2.22.17.2 ESN, Date: 3/23/06
Radio: 01.16.11
Protocol: 4.0.13.21
ExtRom: 2.22.17.102
It's a G4.
I recently installed (and then uninstalled Resco MediaSuite) on my Imate Jamin. Now, earphone has static. I've figured out that actually the microphone is comes on when I answer a call. The microphone is picking up a bunch of the surrounding environment noise. That's interfering with the sound of voice calls coming through my earphone. Imagine something like blowing into a microphone.
I figured this out because if I put the phone on mute while I'm on a voice call, I can hear the call fine (as I could before I installed the Resco MediaSuite).
Can anyone help me figure out this one? I figure it's some sort of registry setting that got messed up.
Here's my config:
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.G3.4 PDA
ROM Version: 2.20.7.9 PV WWE
ROM Date: 7/06/08
Radio Version: 1_02.20.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.9
ExtROM version: PDAVIET
WM 6.1/CE OS 5.2.19214 (Build 19214.1.0.4 PNT)

I think your best bet is a hard reset...
That worked! Thanks.
Thank you for your help. That worked, although it required some configuration. I'm certainly not complaining though!

Glad it worked for you.
Hard resets seem to solve a lot of problems
