HELP Repeated Align Screen - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

Hi,
My "Align Screen" does not work properly. When I tap on Align screen it keeps on repeatedly doing Align Screen and does not stop.
I tried hard reset, another ROM, but nothing works. Even my tapping on the screen is all over the place. If I click on the Windows button the calendar opens (due to screen alignment problem and not due to wrong application assigned to button).

So i've been having problems with the screen alignment on mine since i had one spot on my MDA screen that was dead and my screen was cracked so the alignment wizard basically got stuck in limbo when I tried to calibrate it. SO basically what I had to do was download PHM Registry Editor and change the registry key touch referenced in here.
Afterwards I used the remote alignment tool (attached) to retrieve the correct settings from the correctly aligned mda(after changing the registry key then rebooting the device) then made sure the file was saved on my pc....normally it's saved by default in the C:\Program Files\Code Factory\Remote Screen Alignment directory. The file was called WIZA200.dat. I did a soft reset then when the alignment screen came up I did the skip function in the remote screen alignment application and it automatically read the proper calibration from the wiza200.dat file and then properly calibrated my mda now my screen is properly calibrated even though i never ran the alignment wizard.
So here are the Instructions folks:
1. Download the latest activesync and connect your mda to your computer and verify your device is connected(not as guest)
2. Perform a soft/hard reset on your MDA then tap your screen to start the screen alignment wizard
3. Download the remote screen alignment tool attached and install it on your machine.
4. Download the wiza200.txt file attached and rename it to WIZA200.dat then put it in the C:\Program Files\Code Factory\Remote Screen Alignment directory on your computer
5. Ensure your MDA is connected to your pc(A green activesync Icon usually indicates a connection )
6. Open the remote screen alignment tool on your pc meanwhile your phone be displaying the alignment screen wizard.
7. Click SKIP in the screen alignment tool.
Assuming everything went fine a message box displaying "The operation has been completed successfully. Your device will be restarted." should pop up on your computer and your device should restart. Afterwards your phone will run the files it always does when you do a soft/hard reset then you touch screen should be properly calibrated and work fine.
I found the above solution. But it has messed up the entire screen. I suspect the Calibration data is not correct and it is for Wizard. My screen is f$#@#@. PLEASE HELP.

if you wanted help vinbad i think you should also inclued the files you downloaded and the program that you installed to avoid this screen alignment thing and hope that someone with the capacity of changing the *txt for prophet will read this thread and can help you both..
this is just an opinion and i do hope that some good samaritan will come along that can help you!
PEACE!

XDA II Screen malfunction

I tried using the XDA II today and the screen touch pad does not respond at all. The up down rocker wouldcycle through the today items and the hardware buttons worked. I tried a soft and then hard reset. Now I can not get past the set up screen where it says taps the screen to set up your device.
Any ideas?
There are two problems that i can think now.
Firstly, it due to screen protector. If you change a new one, try remove it.
Because screen protector is not suitable or incorrect place.
Secondly, it due to some program that you've been installed.
In my case ,I found problem with Calligrapher7.4. After I install,my screen is totally locked but Hardware button still work.
The way to resolve is by uninstall program via activesync. Just put your device to cradle wait until sync is completed ,then click add/remove program and remove your suspected software that cause your problem.
Hope you can solve this problem.

Heli screen alignment after installing WM6

After having installed the latest wm6 from the update. followed by hard rest I got to screen alignment and it seems to keep asking align screen which I have done over 20 times and I can not get out of it even with new hard set.
Any sugestings or help please.
I forgot to mention the center point is some times not responding.
Thank you
I had the same problem, but found that if you can remove the HTC Album then you can align like normal.
I have the same problem on a wizard.
After a while I realized that there must be something wrong with the hardware.
Whenever I turn the screen on, it opens the Message pane, or whatever is configures on the right top hard button. Then if I turn it off and on, it moves to Outlook . Next time to MMS, etc.
Then, when I press the center button, it opens the align screen, but after I finish aligning, it works fine for a while.
I tried Flashing it many times, with differnt rooms, even the offial ones, and it didn't solve the problem. I also tried dismounting it all, talking all the parts apart and nothing.
Anyboday has any clue about this?
make an oem that auto aligns the screen in personal oemizer. See if that works. So that on the initial boot from hard reset it skips that screen.
I did it on mine and it worked fine but I also never had a problem aligning the screen with the kitchen either.

Strange Issue with Screen Alignment

Recently got a new job and in storage was an old (thought to be broken) Cingular 8100. I figured I could use the parts and hack together my old MDA (USB port broke off of main board). Before doing any of this I flashed it back to the original Cingular ROM and thats when I noticed the issue with why the original owner thought it was broken. The screen alignment wizard would not pass, you could sit there forever and keep hitting the points on the screen and nothing. I used this tool to get around the alignment screen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355010
and found that nothing I did would fix it. So I pulled out my old MDA and popped the screen and digitizer on to the 8100 and still had the issue. Weird. Downloaded Manilla 4 ROM and flashed, still having the issue. Even more weird. Looked back over the post from above and on a whim, connected up via CERegEditor and popped in the Reg entries listed in the thread and soft reset. Problem solved!!! Although, without being able to do the alignment without a soft reset the ext rom did not run properly since it was soft reset before it could run.
I still found it weird that the reg entries did not come over with the ROM so I did another flash and bam, problem came back. Ran the utility again to bypass the screen alignemnt and after looking deeper I found that while in Vertical mode, the screen thought it was in landscape, and while in landscape it thought it was in vertical. Flashed again but when the alignment came up, I did not press where the pointers were, I pressed where the pointer would have been in landscape mode even though it was in vertical mode and it let me through. Ext ROM installed, reset, connected with CERegEditor and entered the correct reg entries from the post and bam, everything is working.
So I guess the screen alignment data stored in the REG are not part of the ROM??? Can anyone shed some light on that?

What happened? Did you flash a new rom to your phone? Did you drop it? Did it get any water damage? It sounds like something is wrong (mechanically / electronically)

ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX???
HOW TO EDIT THE REGISTRY VIA EXPLORE THE PHONE VIA ACTIVESYNCRO???
Hi manouba,
please try the following, if possible:
(1) Connect your Phone to your PC using Activesync (it works even when you are stuck at alignment screen).
(2) Download this Remote Screen Alignment program.
(3) Install and run this program from your PC.
(4) Choose SKIP to avoid the Align Screen Wizard. This program has a few features that you might want to use in the future.
(5) Restart the phone and you are done.
Let me know if this works or not.
Note: Incase your screen is badly aligned (if touch screen works); you can start the alignment wizard from settings and do few taps. You will not come out of the loop, so press any key like screen off button, Windows or restart the phone.
Best Regards.

Semi-Basic WM2003 help

Ok here is the low down.
I have been able to disable the alignment screen and setup screen on my PPT8800 (which is using WM2003).
I also was able to copy the "alignment" settings from the registry and copied them into the application folder and platform folder.
When I do a cold boot though, the alignment settings, don't go into effect. The only way I get the screen to respond properly to is to perform a soft boot. I even checked the registry after the coldboot (through my remote program) and the settings showed up, but the screen would not respond to the settings.
Also, one time I did a cold boot, pressed function 6 and brought up the alignment screen. But because my battery was running low, the notification announcement about the battery life, closed the alignment screen. After the screen closed (and I didn't even perform the alignment) the reg settings went into effect.
Any suggestions? I was thinking of trying to write a script that says: perform a soft boot after cold boot. But I don't know how to write that, and apply it to the device. I know how to write basic scripts and commands.
