Intermittent "sim card is locked" message - G1 General

I keep getting a message on the screen saying "sim card is locked", and I am required to enter my pin to unlock it again.
This is the strange part - it nearly only happens when I'm at work, only very occasionally when I am in another location. It also I think happens when data is being received most commonly it happens when a text message comes through - the sim card is locked message is displayed, and I don't get the text come through after unlocking it again.
I'm using JF1.5
I've tried re-inserting the sim, cleaning the contacts, though now I'm pretty sure it's not a physical connection problem, does anyone have any ideas?

phone crash, followed by loss of signal.

my t-mobile Vario II crashed the other day as I was replying to a text message, nothing unusual there, wm5 has been known to crash once in a while.
so I soft reset it, and it reboots.
But now, after it's all finished loading, it would run for a few seconds, only to crash again.
I reset again, but the freezing up follows shortly.
Nothing I do stops this happening.
So in desperation I go for the Hard Reset.
Everything gets wiped and it reinstalls all the T-Mobile stuff.
But now I have no signal,
I take the SIM card out and put it in an old nokia, and that works fine, i receive two text messages which I think were due around the time of the first crash.
The texts are normal texts from friends, saying hello and stuff.
So it's not the SIM card, it must be something to do with the phone.
I've just tried the SIM card in the phone again, and i notice on the T-Mobile boot screen it says the usual stuff.
M 05 S 04 B 06 D1.21, but just before it blinks it says No GSM.
I searched the forums and, this seems to be a problem people can get when tryting to unlock or upgrade their phones rom.
Problem is, I've not tried to do either.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
Am I going to have to mess around with ROM upgrades, all of which scares me greatly.
Or should I just send the phone back to T-Mobile for repair.
quang.
I've just checked to see if i can read the contacts of the SIM card.
Tapping on SIM Manager doesn't work,
nothing happens.
Which leads me to believe that maybe the SIM reader on the phone is damaged in some way.

No SIM Card - Emergency Calls Only

OK...hope someone out there can help me figure this out. I have a Moto X Pure running 6.0 rooted deodexed on at&t. occasionally on a reboot i will get the message "No SIM Card - Emergency Calls Only" in the notification bar immediately when android gets to the desktop (instead of the normal AT&T banner). This only lasts 10 seconds or so until the device gets service and everything works as it should...except it doesn't. I've noticed that when this happens I am unable to send or receive MMS. If i reboot again (and again and again) until i don't get the "No SIM Card - Emergency Calls Only" message, I am able to send and receive MMS. Any ideas? It's obviously something that is happening during the boot process (or whenever the phone first attempts to get a signal). Like I said...no rhyme or reason as to when this happens. right now it works, but every reboot is like playing russian roulette.
Some Googling tells me this may be a 6.0 bug...if so, I can't be the only one having an issue with the MXPE... https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/VW_L9kVVy8g

S7 Edge second sim disappears randomly

Hi,
I've got a dual-sim Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935FD) this spring and everything was fine until a week ago my second SIM started to disappear randomly. Basically I wake up the phone after a while and I see no indications of the second SIM: no signal bars and "No SIM card in slot 2" message in settings. Rebooting the phone sometimes solves it for a while -- the second SIM becomes visible and works as expected but after a few hours it disappears again.
Things that I have tried so far:
wiping out cache partition
forcibly setting second sim to "2G only"
manually choosing mobile operators for both sim cards
swapping sim cards -- problematic sim card would still disappear after a while, now from slot 1.
putting the problematic sim card into another phone -- it works just fine, not disappearing at all.
factory reset
The issue still persists. Currently my first sim (the one which works well) is set to "auto (4g/3g/2g)", also mobile data goes through that card. My second sim (the problematic one) is set to "2g only", although setting to "auto (3g/2g)" gives same result.
My software:
Android 7.0
ROM: G935FXXU1DQEJ
Build: NRD90M.G935FXXU1DQGN
Would also mention that examining the phone logs via
Code:
adb logcat
while the card is invisible didn't reveal anything suspicious...
It appeared to be a bizarre SIM issue: after replacing the SIM I haven't seen such behavior for more than a month. It's weird that the SIM would fail sporadically and a reboot would fix it, also that it would happily work on other devices. Anyway, this is hopefully solved now.

Message fails

Hi I'm getting message failed on a regular basis,I sometimes get the message to go through but on other occasions it fails anybody else get this problem?I'm using mi 9t global stable thanks...
I have noticed the same issue today, messages were failing, had to restart the phone that fixed it temporarily I guess.
PS: I am on latest Global version (10.3.11)
I still get it after reboot but I noticed the 0 was missing from the start of the phone number so I manually typed the number and now it seems to be working....it's strange because the number is full in the contact details and I can phone straight from contacts but not text as it just fails with certain contacts ...
Same issue, I fixed it when I put another SIM card from different company but I cannot activate it with my primary SIM
This issue is getting worst, upon sending a text to someone I receive failure message after a while but regardless of failure, receipient receives multiple duplicate texts.
This needs to be fixed have also tried google messaging app and issue seems to be the same.
If someone come across a fix then please do share here. This is annoying as whenever i send out a text to someone they receive it a million times at least
I might of fixed the issue,in the contacts number at the top Of the message screen the 0 is missing so if I send a text it fails but if I go to contacts directly and send a text it adds the 0 and message goes through....
Seems like i have found the issue, its related to the network. Whenever i select 4G/ LTE as preferred network, i face the above described issue. SMS gets stuck at "Sending" and eventually fails resulting in multiple texts towards the receiving party. However, when i change the network to 3G or 2G, everything seems to work normally.
Not sure what to do in this case. Looking forward to suggestions.
I have exact same issue Got no idea how to fix.

My dialer is not showing on GALAXY TAB A

I got a Galaxy Tab A sprint (SM-T517P) I don't know why but this doesn't have phone app. I've tried resetting the device, tried to unlock UICC but it shows "error 407". In the system app, I can see the phone app but it doesn't appear on the screen. There's only an option that is force stop. Can someone help me with this??? When I insert a sim I can text but there's no option to call. Sometimes a pop up shows up as "power off your device insert the service provider UICC that came with the device" I don't know what that means. Please, someone, help me out!!!
