I can't connect to the internet through my Qtek (via bluetooth)! Probably i do not have proper drivers for Mac OS X Panther (10.3.7). Help!
Computer discovered my Pocket PC and Pocket see my PowerBook by bluetooth, but "Could not open the communication device."
Earlyer I used mobile phone Nokia 6310i and everything work correctly.
Pleas help!
Best Regards and Thank You

I am sorry to say, but your explanations do not make anything clear.
So I am going to explain everything once more.
My questions and my request for help seemed quite simple to me, but I
see that we do not understand each other.
1. I have PowerBook 17" 1GHz with Mac OS X Panther 10.3.8
2. I have Qtek 2020 with Microsoft Pocket PC ver 4.20.0
3. I used the Mark/Space Missing Sync for Pocket PC application
for synchronising
(I bought it via Internet and I am very happy with it)
Now it is uninstalled, as you told me to do, but I really need
synchronisation.
4. I often use PowerBook out of work in places where I do not have
access to Internet.
Before I had the Nokia 6310i mobile phone and via this telephone
I could connect to Internet (wireless connection
in every place within GSM network range). Gprs Nokia modem operated
without any problems, and I could connect with the computer
via bluetooth without any problem. I activatedon the phone I could
establish connection.
5. Unfortunately, Qtek 2020 is a more complex appliance, but has no
such option. In Pocket PC I have Internet (GPRS connect), but not
in the computer
I asked how to solve this problem on numerous forums: Apple and
xda-developers-Forum. Nobody could give me a satisfactory answer.
I was directed to you.
6. I do not have the PocketMac Pro 3.0 application and never installed
it. (no serial No.)
7. I do not have and I am not going to install PocketMac® Lite 3.0.
(no serial No.)
8. PocketMac Pro 3.0 program is ok., but I cannot buy it! I wanted to, but on the
Internet site there was such a message: PocketMac does not sell
PocketMac Pro 3.0 for OS X (10.3) to your country. I was shocked.
Now I do not know what to do - do I need a script or a driver to
the system? I have heard that there is a similar problem with PC computers.
I would like to use Qtek 2020 as a wireless modem connecting my
computer with Internet. It is not possible?
If PocketMac® Pro 3.0 is going to solve my problem, I can buy it and install immediately. I thing not.

hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone uses this WiFi add-in Card. i use an E-TEN G500 (WinMo 5.0), so i use this WiFi card. i am having a problem, and their support team doesn't really help.
i bought it about 7 months ago, and i worked great until about 2 months ago. the blinking green light blinks and flashes (on the card), but it doesn't seem to wanna find a hotspot, even if i am standing next to my wifi router at home. Now i remember using the driver provided on the website for best stability and reliability, but i am curious as to whether the driver on the website is different than the version on the CD that was packed with the card. Also, i was trying different drivers provided from website (the WM 2003 with WLAN utility that supposedly is compatable with WM 5, the WM 5 exclusive driver, & WM 5.0 exclusive driver). 1) Which driver am i supposed to use; & 2) Does anyone have any problems with This card like i do? Like i said, the card worksa as far as mechanics (blinking green light) but my device/WiFi card doesn't seem to read any hotspots available. it would be greatly appreciated if anyone can shed some light on this and if anyone has any recommendations to any other Mini SD WiFi Card as i can't seem to find another card like this. Thanks all
its the Mini SD card (SDW-822, even though the driver doesnt descriminate between the 820 and 822), not the regular sized one. i was also reading about a "modified E300 WiFi card driver" Where can i find one and how can i download it if its gonna solve my problems?
I bought htc and i have few problems so i hope that some one can help me.
I dunno how to connect my htc and pc with usb, how to send files from one cell phone to htc and how to find memory card (micro sd)
So i hope that some one can help me

Welcome to XDA-Dev
One step at a time with this one I think.
First, can we assume you have a USB lead/cable?
If you have and you have connected it between your phone and PC - what happens?
Mike
Did you get a manual with it as all this is covered in there. It REALLY helps to, at least, glance at the sections you're having problems with...
For memory card though, how big is it? If its bigger than 2Gb and, I'll assume you're running wm06, You need to either have upgraded to wm06 (as some versions weren't sdhc compatable) or flashed a cooked rom. Otherwise install this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=58063&d=1194986892
It also helps things if you format the sd card fat32 before doing anything else as it makes life easier later.
To send files use bluetooth... Read on how to start it and pair with a device in your manual.
Cheers...
Firstly welcome to xda developers
try installing active sync, if you are using windows XP or Windows mobile device center if using vista then you can connect the phone to the pc via usb & or bluetooth
go here for either version
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-synch.mspx
finding a memory card isnt that difficult, to send files to the htc from another phone just bluetooth it over , but you need to switch bluetooth on first, obviously.
By the sounds of things ultramags69's advice is the best ,at least read the user manual before asking easy to find answers.
I would also try to explain in greater detail exactly what you are trying to do , then maybe you will get more precise instructions
UPDATE - HP has given me 48 hours to provide other users with this issue, as no one has reported it directly to them besides me. If anyone has an HP mini 2133 and has the issue described below, please PM or email me ASAP with your serial number [email protected]
I am creating this thread to collect data to present to HP/HTC.
Issue:
T-Mobile G1 connected over USB to HP Mini Note 2133 (Via Chipset)
When you select Mass Storage on the G1 the computer freezes
Collecting Information:
Anyone who has an HP mini note 2133 and any HTC android phone (Dream/Magic/Ion) please PM me with your setup and results.
I have been submitting information to HPs engineering team regarding this issue there is an open ticket.
The more information we present the more likely we are to obtain a fix for the issue.
Thanks all!
just to throw it out there, I have a HP mini 1000 and everything works fine for me
What OS are you running? I can connect with XP and ubuntu 9.x on mine. What usb drivers are you using? are you sure your using 32bit/64bit where appropriate?
Try and do a thumbdrive ubuntu boot and connect through that, I bet it will work.

I checked the specs on the 2133 and its using VIA chipset. Mini 1000 uses Intel chipset. Most likely that's the culprit (VIA chipset not playing nice).
I would hope HP's tech support suggested u install the latest drivers from their site. If not and you have not done this yourself then:
http://tinyurl.com/mjywny
Interesting situation nonetheless. Hope u get it sorted out; that would irritate the funk outta me!
the chipset is the problem - the hp mini 1000 is indeed intel, thus you have no problems. I have been working with HP Engineering to resolve - after all of my testing (different G1s - sd cards) what i really need is for someone with a magic/ion and an HP mini to try mounting to see if it occurrs with that phone - windows mobile hTC phones do not connect as mass storage so i cannot confirm that the problem is with HTC phones in general.

its not a drivers issue, the problem occurs in UBUNTU or Windows - its a firmware issue
Sorry to hear... That really sux. Well at least u can remove the TF/SD card and use a card reader (hopefully at the least the VIA chipset supports a USB card reader). Is it also affecting your ability to use adb and fastboot or just mass storage access?
yeah very crappy - the 2133 has a built in sd reader and its fine, adb and fastboot are fine as long as i dont try to access the sd card (even from shell) waiting on a callback from HP on Monday.
I have the same problem with my G1 and HP 2133. Any news about this?
Anyone? Really need to have this fixed
Actually the symptoms of it freezing happened to me many times before, until I changed the USB data cable to one that is shorter. Somehow, when I use certain cheapo USB cables, it will always either hang midway (upon transferring files) or cause a total freeze on the computer. I thought it was a driver problem, but after reading much complaints (not specific to Mini Note 2133) deduce that a change of USB cable solves the problem (apparently it has to do with some chipsets not compatible with all USB cables). Sorry, writing this after months of solving the problem (middle of last year).
Hope this helps.
I HAVE THE SAME DANG PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was pickin my brain for like 3 hours trying to figure out what the hell was going on.... this explains soooo much.

Tried different cables but no effect. Thanks anyway.
I have an Hp 2133 running Ubuntu 9.10 and it freezes if I attempt to use my HTC Desire as a modem. The phone is recognised by the OS as a wireless modem and I get 5-15 minutes of connection before the machine freezes. Nothing will bring it back after that and I have to cycle the power to get the machine back.

Hi peeps,
I have the same setup and problem. I've had the desire a week. First time I connected as a modem, surfed for 15 mins, then froze. I am lucky to get 5 mins now before freeze.
It doesn't freeze when using as a drive, only modem.
I am on Telstra in Australia and haven't rooted the phone or stuffed around with it in any big way.
FRUSTRATING
Its the only drama that the 2133 has given me in over 2 years.
I have the same problem. My setup : HP2133 with Debian squeeze, HTC Dream (G1) as USB drive. Today I could catch a stack trace, that I am giving below just in case it could help solve the issue (I tried to send it to kerneloops.org but the website is down).

Hello,
After 2 days of using HD Mini I must say I am very pleased... the only major complaint is that the phone hangs up after connecting to my macbook and to my iMac. I know that this is a windows phone and I don't expect it to synchronize and so on, but my previous phone ( HTC Diamond) connected to mac computer acts normally- it is seen as external disk drive, I can copy files to memory and charge it from the laptop battery if needed. HD Mini freezes and I cannot even switch it off- I need to disconnect battery! Do you think it is something wrong with my phone or all of them act like this? Has anyone try to connect HD Mini to Apple computer? Thank you very much for any info!
Hi,
You can sync the HD mini with Apple iCal, Address Book and some iTunes music (and more) thanks to utilities like Mark/Space Missing Sync for Windows Mobile. It works through USB or Bluetooth links (it uses the MS ActiveSync protocol).
The USB mass storage mode of the HD mini seems to have problem with Apple computers. I'm experiencing the same troubles as you are with both a MacBook and an iMac. Some driver update is probably required.
Regards
Thank you!
problem solved at least partially...
using missing sync for now and hope HTC to release update to storage mode
Regards and many thanks

Mine does exactly this. Freezes and I too have to remove the battery. If I set the HD Mini to 'ActiveSync' mode, I can charge the battery from the Apple (Mac Mini in my case), but cannot access the storage card.
I use the free version of SyncMate to sync the HD Mini with my Mac, I couldn't get this to work via BlueTooth (which worked with my TG01), naturally can't get it to work via USB either, but eventually had success using WiFi to sync.

Did this yesterday!
I should say, I don't think setting the connection type to 'ActiveSync' prevented a crash after all. I think it just delayed it!
I'm using SyncMate - works perfectly.
I'm not able to see SD card like USB storage, but via SyncMate I can connect to StorageCard and copy files.
It's not good way for big files (700 MB about 30 min), but for small is usable.

I'm guessing you have the full (paid!) version of SyncMate? I don't think you can sync to the SD card with the free version?
I can't get SyncMate to connect to the HD Mini using bluetooth, only WiFi. Is this 'normal' or am I just daft?
@ everyone -
If you have any problems while using SyncMate, please, contact our Support team at [email protected], thanks
If anyone else did report this to HTC, did you get any sense from them?
All I get back is bland statements about not supporting sync with the Mac, but to try 'MissingSync'. Surely connecting the HD Mini to MissingSync with USB will give the same lockup, won't it?
In case you are interested, here is the response from HTC so far:
Hello.
I have just received my (wonderful!) HTC HD Mini.
I am finding that if I connect the USB cable to my Apple Mac Mini, the request for 'ActiveSync, Disk Drive, Modem' pops up, then after selecting 'Disk Drive', the disk does not mount on the Apple desktop, but even worse, the HD Mini locks totally and I have to remove and replace the battery before it will respond again. I have tried turning the 'do not charge from PC if on' option on and off, but this doesn't help at all.
I have had other Windows Mobile devices (Samsung and Toshiba TG01) and these have had no problem connecting to the Mac in this way.
Can you suggest anything please?
Dear Mark
Thank you for your enquiry about Mac.
I'm sorry but we don't really have any support on Mac, but you can try Missing sync. Just search through Google and you should find it, for more support i recommend you to contact Mac. Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Hello.
Perhaps I didn't explain my problem very well. I can use SyncMate to sync my calendar and contact information between my HTC HD Mini and my Mac Mini, but only using a WiFi connection.
The problem starts when I try to use the USB Drive facilities on the HD Mini to transfer program, music and video files from the Mac to the HD Mini. As soon as I connect the USB cable to the HD Mini, the HD Mini locks totally and I have to remove the battery before I can restart it. I have used other Windows Mobile devices with the (same) Apple Mac Mini in exactly the same way and had no problems - only with the HD Mini.
I hear reports on the XDA-Developers HD Mini forum that at least one other HD Mini and Apple Mac owner has the exact same symptoms on attempting the same thing.
Hoping you can help.
Dear Mark
Thank you for your enquiry about 3rd party.
We don't have any support on Sync mate, so you will have to contact them for assistance in theis area. This includes Mac which we don't support. But sync with windows you can use Active sync 4,5 for xp, and windows mobile device center 6,1 for Win vista/7, if you need guidance please call into our support line below. Good luck!
Best regards,
Can I make my query perfectly clear as it appears as though my problem has been misinterpreted.
My problem is that connecting my HTC Mini to my Apple Mac Mini in order to use the USB disk drive transfer facility of the HD Mini causes the HD Mini to lock totally, requiring me to remove the battery from the HTC HD Mini to reset it and to continue working.
I have had no problem using the same feature on other Windows Mobile phones in exactly the same way, on the exact same Apple Mac, using the exact same operating system.
Other people have also reported problems using this facility with other Apple Mac models. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=680635) One user here is reporting that this feature has worked with other HTC Windows Mobile Models, but not the HD Mini.
It has to be said that I'm struggling to see how my first question has yet to be answered. Still. We live in hope...
Thanks for all your help...
Had this reply from HTC today:
Dear Mark Thank you for your enquiry about Mac. I'm sorry we don't support Mac, so we're not alowed to help you setup your hd-mini with a Mac operating system. For assistance on this you'll need to contact Mac, i'm sorry for the inconvenience! Best regards,
And my (final) words:
Thanks for your reply.
It seems a great pity that such a useful facility cannot be used in this model, when it was available in previous models.
Whilst I understand that you do not support the Mac, should a device designed to work to a universal standard, such as USB not work on all devices regardless of operating system? I have never had problems with other 'standard' USB disk drives on the Mac, they all work on Windows, Linux and Mac machines. I would have expected the HD Mini to do so also, if not for the Sync features (which I expected) and not only for the WiFi and Bluetooth (which do work as expected on the Mac) but certainly for the USB disk facilities, facilities that do work on competing Windows Mobile Devices.
Should you try connecting the HD Mini to any Macs that you or your team may own and discover the reason for the lock-ups, please contact me.
Personally, I'd say that the problem lies with HTC - not Apple, but it doesn't look like anything is going to be done about it. Perhaps a future update will 'accidentally' fix the problem?
I can hope. Can't I???
I have just applied the ROM update for the HD Mini (released 28th May 2010).
This appears to have removed the lock up encountered when connecting the HD Mini to the Mac, so far at least.
Whilst this has not enabled the access to the SD card on the Mac, it does mean that Parallels (Windows XP) can now connect normally using ActiveSync for software installations and backups. Parallels too seems unable to access the SD card directly, but can browse the HD Mini device using ActiveSync.
Performing this ROM update did not delete any data on my device, despite the warnings that it would. Perhaps different versions of the device (mine was purchased SIM free and network unlocked) will lose some data during the upgrade process.
Hope this helps.
