wanna go b ack to 2.22.19.23 because thats the one i had with the JF adp 1.5 rom i think, but duno if it will "brick" my phone and totally not gonna risk that. I think that will fix the network problems, i did a clean wipe upgrading from the jf adp 1.5 to the official JF 1.5
anyone know if it works?
Do u have HardSPL or Haykuros SPL?
If you have not Haykuros SPL, you can easily downgrade ;-)
how i find out, i dont think i do

when using the RUU update to upgrade my radio it says i have image version 2.11.255.1
is this newer than SPL 2.10.olipro?
do i NEED to flash to HardSPLv7 just to upgrade the radio to Radio version 1.41.00.10?
its a softbank X01T WM5
image version and SPL version are unrelated. With Olipro 2.1, you have all you need. Feel free to flash with reckless abandon.
SPL 2.10.olipro = HardSPL v7

well that is the only version # the program gives
i cant seem to get to bootlooader mode to find out more
and if i do decide to flash to that spl, all my data on the device is still there right? it only wipes when u upgrade the rom?
i really really only want to upgrade the radio. is it perfectly safe to do the upgrade without hardSPLv7?
Someone Please Tell Me
i wouldn't upgrade ANYTHING without hard-spl
read EVERYTHING at http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/ before flashing
if you don't, please don't come crying here if you brick your device.
btw, not flashing the radio properly WILL brick your device
I seem to be following SkyyBoy in posting recently and giving some of the same advice.
You can flash a radio without hardspl and it is safe as long as NOTHING GOES WRONG. If something goes wrong during the flashing process (such as power failure, PC BSOD etc) then you have a $500 paperweight.
If you put hardspl V7 (or 2.10 - same thing) on your phone before flashing radio then if a problem happens you can recover the brick.
No one here will recommend flashing the radio without hardspl.
Why are ytou reluctant to put this on your phone? If it's for warranty reasons later, this can be removed (also in Mrvanx's guides I think).

You need to read up alot more before trying to flash anything.
Flashing an SPL or a Radio does NOT lose your data.
I have currently the Engineering SPL and I am thinking of trying the Haykuro builds that for what I have been reading require the SPL 1.33.2005, for what I understand it frees up memory for Haykuro builds, my question is would I lose the functionality of the Engineering SPL? Is the SPL 1.33.2005 like the standard rainbow SPL? Would I be able to return to the JF builds if I decide too?
Could someone go about the pros and cons of going to the SPL 1.33.2005? Thank you all in advance.
pros more space and compatible with all builds
cons you may brick your phoen to a point that we cannot fix
thank you have a nice day
I agree to me its just a normal spl and I already tried flashing to id 1.51 and it worked fine. U have to be carefully web flashing that spl because if urnot carefully it will brick Ur phone. Just do more research
Thank you for the answers guys, one more question would I be able to use fastboot with SPL 1.33.2005?

yes...
also, since it hasn't been mentioned in this thread...make sure you have a PVT board before applying this SPL (check by booting to your current bootloader / SPL / skateboarding android screen and read the text @ the top)
...and update to the latest radio BEFORE flashing the SPL

yes you can.
Guys, I already have the 261 radio which i believe is the latest one, do i still need to reflash the radio before i flash the latest spl or can i just skip the radio?
You have the correct radio, so as long as you have a PVT board, you should be okay. Just don't flash back to an older radio version with that SPL.
Does It Have Hard SPL Features?
Does anyone know whether this has the same features of the HardSPL? I don't want to lose the ability to do nandroid backups, or to have a busybox console to get into.
If this is just a modified HardSPL then I'll probably take the plunge, otherwise I think I'll wait until Haykuru's modifications get added to the HardSPL.

That's the deciding factor for me. I like being able to flash back and forth between radio roms. The original 1.22 RR seems to work better for me with most of the updated roms.
Sorry to ask but I searched for this answer to no avail - how can I tell if I have a PVT board? I had my G1 before release (employee), I am almost positive it is, but is there a terminal command to show what version I have?

i had HardSPL then finally decided to flash H's SPL. be careful because it is possible to brick your phone!
the most noticeable difference i saw was the more internal memory. from a wipe, from 52mb norm to 62+mb i think.
this is what cyanogen told me about H's newest SPL.

I have Haykuro's SPL. It removes the /cache mount and adds the space to /system, thats all. It has bricked some peoples phones, though.

mine too
have you done anything to your phone yet
I tried flashing the radio and SPL before I read not to (rogers ftw)
And it went to the flash loading bar and just resets and nothing happens. I tried the alt-w first and flashing just doesnt work.
I know now that was a bad idea but it didnt do anything anyway.
Where did the extra System space come from?
I have a question about Haykuro's SPL. I understand he bumped up the System size. But where did he allocate space from? Will that space be needed in the future? Sorry, if this is a noob question.
Thanks

i have the google mytouch, 32b with 1330006 spl. i was reading the wiki and got a little confused as to how to flash a new rom. it said if installing a rom over the old then i dont need to flash spl, but then it said i need to if i have a perfect spl.
maybe i read it wrong but i want to clarify this before i brick my phone lol. also, is the gold card way the only way to flash the spl? no other easier way to do it?
if i try to install a rom after formatting the phone but leave the current spl on there what would happen? im looking to get the super d rom if that helps.
thanks
MyTouch3G [32b]
(Sapphire/Magic/ -MT3G)
"ORIGINAL"
ok i'v read alot on this but still getting mixxed results... my last research was on the wiki
FIRST: my concerns are SPL N RADIO spec's for "FROYO" (CM6 RC-NightlyBuilds)
iv ran engineering 1.33.2005 SPL
W/ BOTH - 2.22.19.26i and 2.22.23.02 RADIOS
now seeing there is a new SPL HBOOT "1.33.2010"
R We suppose to UPGRade? or even just FLash in general?
(take note: i am a graphic designer, so i perfer to make changes to boot-ups)
* -the wiki on sapphire hacking states
-"For T-Mobile MyTouch 3G or PVT32B Magics, it is reccommended you use the 1.33.2005 engineering SPL."
i couldnt find any date that this was posted so here i ask.
as for radio's both seem to work the same i suppose.... but i beailve updates r updates for a reason right?
I Have recently Unrooted to fix any issues, erase, etc the past years worth of crumbles n jumples that could be floating around somewhere outthere... hah.
as for unrooting it changed my radio back to 2.22.19.26i / n hboot to 1.33.0006
n yes i am currently rerooted with the same radio n hboot listed above. im currently on froyo cm6 rc3 nightly....
also my other issue in needing to despratley know what the sd partitioning should be for the cm6 nightly froyo builds...
im currently 96/512/ex2-3-ex4
reasoning in asking is because i do feel like there is lagging or strain somewhere on the device yett this could be the issues of froyo or the rom itself.
but these issues r in no way dramatic. i just want to know what the legit correccct proper scoop is on this shizzit. once again iv done the reading over n over again. but the dates r back from cm5 in 2009. so im wanting up to speed on 2010 information seeing that i cant seem to find.
also * clockwork recovery or amon RA recovery *
which is a better route for mt3g... personally im happy with amonRA's clean recovery work. but im just wanting to know the deali-O.
your help is greatly appreciated...
You can flash SPL 1.33.2010 to your MT3G, I just did that last week (from whatever came stock with the device, prevented me from using fastboot). I also flashed the radio to the newest version (2.22.23.02) and now get slightly-better reception (I think, anyway).
I like Amon Ra better than Clockwork. I tried installing Clockwork once and my phone refused to boot into recovery (stuck at mt3g screen), so I avoid it like the plague.
As for partitioning, I just leave my entire card FAT and use "Swapper2" to create a swap file. Works just fine, and without the hastle of partitioning (we are talking about swap, right?)
Are there any issues in installing Clockwork recovery over amonRa? I have a rooted MT3g 1.2 with amonRa, but would like to use ROM Manager (requries Clockwork). Did you use Rom Manager to install Clockwork?

It can be done but from my experience it was not good Amon_Ra is more stable in my opinion i would have problems with clockwork. For instance with the MyTouch 1.2 I had to flash manually then tell recovery manager that I did and it will work. Both recoveries are excellent its just a matter of opinion and personal choice.
I unroot my mytouch using the old sappimg.nbh method.
It flash successfully but now it won't boot!
I got a S-ON spl so I can't do fastboot and there is no recovery menu
I can still get into the fastboot menu but that is it
Can I use a 32B RUU to recover my phone then root it, flash the correct splash screen, then flash the correct spl & radio for my region?
i BELIEVE so... as long as you can get to hboot menu you should be able to RUU... did you have RAM hack installed .0013d?
I'd go back to T-Mobile default and start all over.
This post has info and links to restore 1.5, upgrade to 1.6 and then 2.2
http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/Opera...ooting-installing-Donut-and-Froyo/td-p/505421
If you want to flash a custom ROM just restore to 1.6; if you want to take advantage of the extra ram then restore to 2.2 and accept the OTA update.
Hope it helps.

All my current mytouch info before I soft bricked is in my sig.
I tried the sappimg.nbh from that forum topic but no matter how many times I flashed it, it doesn't work
Any way thanks for your help, I'm getting a replacement phone on friday

since you are on the 2708+ radio and kernel you might need to downgrade those in fastboot... then try to reroot... but you are getting a new device anyhow...
edit: reread your first post and S-on... sorry... maybe next time try to downgrade the radio and spl before downgrading ROM...

I was going to try fastboot cyanogenmod 6 or a donut rom but the spl that came with the new radio is S-ON so I can't fastboot anything
then the sappimg.nbh made the spl a perfected spl
