I think my 8125 is bricked. I've never had a problem flashing roms until yesterday I tried Farias Kitchen ROM. I flashing went through ok like normal, but when it restarted, it gets a little bit after the second splash screen. The green windows mobile with farias names at the bottom loads, then the topbar of windows mobile loads with the start button, but then nothing else.
I've tried reflashing it in forced bootload mode as well as doing a hard reset. no luck. The update utility keeps telling me that it is an invalid update tool, please get a newer update utility. I've tried taking the battery out for a while and from there doing forced bootloader. Still no luck
Any suggestions?

What are you trying to re-flash it with in the BL?
You should be able to flash the loverom without a problem.

Thanks, I'm gonna download it right now and try it. What is different about this ROM than any of the cooked roms I have already as well as and official one. All of them in past have worked for me without a problem until now.

Well, it sounds like it may have just been a bad casserole you cooked.
But, you could probably even re-flash using your carrier ROM. This one is just a fool-proof way to get you back on your feet. This ROM is just G3/G4 independent and doesn't include a radio, ipl/spl, or extrom.

Nope, just tried flashing that ROM mentioned above, and still the same answer. It keeps telling me that I need to get a new update utility. That is so weird because I never had that problem. I have already tried flashing the official as well with no luck.

I put the phone in bootload mode by pressing and holding the camera button, then resetting by pushing the reset hole which then loads it to a colorful screen which I assume is the bootloader screen. Then I just connect it and try to flash it using one of the ROMS i have. Thats how I did it the past couple of times.
What upgrade utility are you using? You might wanna try the one attached! It is the 'NO_ID' version and up to now it flashed everything! Simply extract the zip file to a folder on your desktop, then copy your nbf file in to it too and run the "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe"

My phone also appears to be bricked. It locked at 99%, and after trying the steps indicated in the core2.0 installer, it closed, and I'm having difficulty figuring out the next step. As is, I get ERROR [264] CONNECTION. Is there a way to get the phone functional enough to load an OS? I've been searching these forums for about 30 minutes and haven't found what I'm looking for. There should be a recovery wiki.

Hi Junner, i have the same problem too...i did a unlock CID before i try to put the core 2...but after the boot its freeze on splash screen and nothing happend...what can i do? help me please...tks a lot.

First thing you could try is to flash it with your shipped ROM again (the one you had on there originally). If that does not work you might want to search the forum for the LOVE ROM ??? I never tried that one but people say it should worke on any device (G3 /G4).

Every rom that i put in the phone is the same...always freeze on the splash screen...

I try LOVE too and nothing...the phone is G3 with ipl/spl 1.01

A mda vario tmobile from germany...
I was updating my MDA to WM6 when my computer froze in the middle of updating, so i unhooked the MDA and resset it, now its stuck on the splash screen!!!! no matter what I do! and activesync will not recogizine it also!! ive tried hard reset be all its saying issomething about a FAT partition, it can still go into bootloader mode so i know its not bricked, its a G3 model...SOmeone PLEASE help!!!!!

Read the wiki for wizard, I am sure God will help u if u help urself. I think it can be restored by going into the bootloader.

Thanks, did some reading and solved it, but than i wanted a new rom and when i installed it I started and it stuck at splashscreen again, only now hard reset fails and now matter what original tmobile rom i flash it to its still stuck!!! Please help!

What steps have you taken, and where are you stuck at now? Can you bring it into bootloader mode? What IPL/SPL? You said its G3, is it CID unlocked?
So far i have flashed it with the original Tmobile rom and some others through the bootloader mode, but even after it says flash completed I still get stuck on the splash screen, my ip/spl are both 2.26, and it is CID locked, and at the time i dont had a mini sd card to perform an sd rom upgrade, god i wish i just stuck with my original rom, please help!

So you've flashed back the oroginal tmobile rom, is that also 2.26? I presume you are using the standard update util for the flash and it says completed? I've seen the update util do that (say 100% complete but not actually update anything) .. this behaviour is documented somewhere in this forum (took me about 8 flashes and a lot of confusion and frustration before I found the forum threads!) this only happened on a CID locked phone flashing a custom rom.. i don't think that happens with original vendor roms..
Can't say I have had the same problem. From looking at the forum, most people who get stuck like this can flash the wizard love rom and get back on. For me, I have mostly been able to get back to the original rom when needed, except when I bricked my G4 phone (before G3/G4 was well understood)...

Like I said I had not used it myself, but there are many references to it in the forums.
When you say you are stuck, does it load the Windows splash screen or does it get stuck on the IPL/SPL screen?

No you can't CID unlock in bootloader mode.. there are a number of threads on how to CID unlock...

Only that by all accounts, you should be able to get a working phone again if you can get into bootloader mode.. unless you have hardware issues. The other item that may be of problem is the extended rom which can get corrupted.

I need help please my htc is stcuk in bootloader!! This is the first time i was flashing my phone.... And there is not custom rom yet installed its just the process of getting hspl.. The situation was i was connceting it to hspl and when it was connecting i accidentally disconnected it! Now its stuck on bootloader!! And it wont connect to active sync!! The spl is 2.10.000 and white part of the tri coulor saids usb. Now can someone please help me!!! I really like the phone and im trying not to lose it!! Please tell me if my phone is broken or not.. And if it isnt please let me know how i can fix it!!! Please need quick response!! I CANNOT ACCESS MY PHONE AT ALL ITS JUST IN BOOTLOADER!

Flash a stock ROM first, then re-flash the SPL. You, sir, got lucky. If that thing had stopped while it was actually flashing, you'd have a brick.
bro uhm can u like send me instructions for it?? and the files for the stock rom.. cause again this is my first time and id really appreciate it if yu would... and btw i used hspl to try to flash it... and everytime i tried to reflash it without a "stock ROM" it saids error bad spl.... so i dont know what to do.. but u said to try to reflash it with a stock rom so if u can tell me how to do that,, that would be great.. btw my phone is not bricked right???

Ok, go here for a stock ROM (you might have to register):

In that post, download the 2.13 stockrom.
Connect your phone via usb to your computer while in bootloader (should say usb at the bottom). Your phone cannot connect via active sync because you probably don't have a ROM on it at the moment.
Unzip and run the Rom Update Utility (RUU) and follow the instructions. This will take you back to stock.
After doing this, I suggest your read here:

If you are not tmobile usa hd2, then disregard above and find stock ROM for your carrier.

you may have corrupted the SPL with that bad flash.

uhm i also did the ruu thing but i dont think it was my spl.. cause my spl that said on the bootloader screen saids 2.10 but you told me to flash it using 2.13 stock rom.... i tried it but it did not fix the problem... my htc is tmobile usa btw... and i tried reflashing it after the stock rom flash and it still doesnt work. it saids error bad spl when i try to reflash it using hardspl... do i need to use a different stock rom? let me know plz.. email me my email is [email protected]

I don't know then. When you put it into bootloader and run the RUU what happens? Does it start then error out at a percentage? Not start at all?

no bro it went through the whole ruu process... without active sync though cause again i cant connect to active sync... then once i went through the RUU process it didnt do anything.. my spl still said 2.10 in the bootloader screen.. and i still cant connect to active sync.. thats why i think the hspl part wont work... should i try a different hspl? cause i think this one isnt compatible with mine... and how come my spl on bootloader is still 2.10??? i thought we updated stock rom to 2.13??? but yah it went through the whole RUU process. i even tried doing the RUU PROCESS LIKE 3 MORE TIMES STILL DIDNT WORK... DO I HAVE TO DO THE SD CARD THING OR WHAT???

Sorry but I've never heard of anything like that. There should be a recovery tool for windows. I only have this phone so you will have to investigate for yourself.

It's obvious your phone is not rooted. Try flashing an RUU.
1: Visit here:

2: Get any Eclair RUU,
RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151892_signed.exe
(I am assuming your phone was not operator locked / branded)
3: Connect your Wildfire to your PC, and, run the EXE file. (Note: Make sure the EXE file downloads fully. It is approx 130 MB in size)
4: Let the process complete (Takes ~15 minutes)
If it is successful, check whether the phone starts up properly or not. If it still doesn't, return it to you dealer and claim your warranty.

Is your phone an operator branded one?
Anyway, to solve that, you will need to create a goldcard. Guide here:

But remember, if your phone is branded, this will remove their ROM and add a stock HTC WWE (Worldwide English) one, probably voiding the warranty if there is no RUU for your carrier.

Anyone out there knows if we can remove hardspl from bootloader of Wing. Problem is my mobile displays splash screen, then switch offs by itself. Its been quite some time that I have hardspled it and have been using it. But recently I am facing this issue, so I am trying to move to original RUU and try if it works.
So for that anyone knows if we can remove hardspl from bootloader, because I am only able to enter bootloader. Moreover I tried several original roms from Flash Center as well as through SD card as well, but still be SPL version is 4.70.yang. Anyone knows any other alternative.
Also, if anyone has faced similar problem then kindly advice how you resolved.

you need USPL to remove hardspl , but you must carefull to do it

try to install a custom ROM first , then installed the Enable Rapi on your device and then you can proceed to flash SPL

So is there any way I can install EnableRapi.cab from bootloader
