I need help please my htc is stcuk in bootloader!! This is the first time i was flashing my phone.... And there is not custom rom yet installed its just the process of getting hspl.. The situation was i was connceting it to hspl and when it was connecting i accidentally disconnected it! Now its stuck on bootloader!! And it wont connect to active sync!! The spl is 2.10.000 and white part of the tri coulor saids usb. Now can someone please help me!!! I really like the phone and im trying not to lose it!! Please tell me if my phone is broken or not.. Flash a stock ROM first, then re-flash the SPL. You, sir, got lucky. If that thing had stopped while it was actually flashing, you'd have a brick.
bro uhm can u like send me instructions for it?? and the files for the stock rom.. cause again this is my first time and id really appreciate it if yu would... and btw i used hspl to try to flash it... and everytime i tried to reflash it without a "stock ROM" it saids error bad spl.... so i dont know what to do.. but u said to try to reflash it with a stock rom so if u can tell me how to do that,, that would be great.. btw my phone is not bricked right???

Nope. As long as you can see the bootloader, you ain't screwed

Ok, go here for a stock ROM (you might have to register):

In that post, download the 2.13 stockrom.
Connect your phone via usb to your computer while in bootloader (should say usb at the bottom). Your phone cannot connect via active sync because you probably don't have a ROM on it at the moment.
Unzip and run the Rom Update Utility (RUU) and follow the instructions. This will take you back to stock.
After doing this, I suggest your read here:

you may have corrupted the SPL with that bad flash.

uhm i also did the ruu thing but i dont think it was my spl.. cause my spl that said on the bootloader screen saids 2.10 but you told me to flash it using 2.13 stock rom.... i tried it but it did not fix the problem... my htc is tmobile usa btw... and i tried reflashing it after the stock rom flash and it still doesnt work. it saids error bad spl when i try to reflash it using hardspl... do i need to use a different stock rom? let me know plz.. email me my email is [email protected]

I don't know then. When you put it into bootloader and run the RUU what happens? Does it start then error out at a percentage? Not start at all?

no bro it went through the whole ruu process... without active sync though cause again i cant connect to active sync... then once i went through the RUU process it didnt do anything.. my spl still said 2.10 in the bootloader screen.. and i still cant connect to active sync.. thats why i think the hspl part wont work... should i try a different hspl? cause i think this one isnt compatible with mine... and how come my spl on bootloader is still 2.10??? i thought we updated stock rom to 2.13??? but yah it went through the whole RUU process. i even tried doing the RUU PROCESS LIKE 3 MORE TIMES STILL DIDNT WORK... DO I HAVE TO DO THE SD CARD THING OR WHAT???

When you are already in uspl mode. then just try to flash the phone again.

I need to uninstall hardspl so i can use my warranty.

I think you have to find official ROM which was installed on you HD2 before you changed HARDSPL and installed cooked ROM. You'll find all official ROM's in Leo Official ROMs thread. When you find the right one install it from your SD card. Hope this helps

Like I said. I have used a rom from official rom thread=) I also tryed the rom from htc.com with same resoult.
Can I uninstall a bad flash or something and start from the beginning ? Cuz now im stockt in my situation.
Like I said you have to find the "right" one. It's not just any official ROM. I my case I had to install some really old ROM. Unfortunately I don't know how to find the right one, just use the trial and error method.

In official ROMs thread is link to Shared folder for shipped Leo ROMs. In there are very well organised ROMs by country and carrier, you should find it quick enough. Just start with 1.43 and 1.48 and only those which matches your country and/or carrier.
or just to HTCs website and get it from there (assuming its not a vendor locked device)

I have trayd every rom that compatibility with my region "SVE" and its not working. I still get the message "upgrade rom code error please try agen". In the 1.43 i cant find my region, does that meens that is it impossible that i could have been that release of rom ?
Does sombody knows if there any way to cheack the stock ROM from a serialnumber or somthning like that?

Thinks getting better!
I find a new SD card, so i use this insted of the stock SD card.
No a white screen with a blue "Loading..." text appers.
BUT. its always a BUT. In this screen the phone freeze.

Dont realy know what that its. But I press vol down and start bottom. Then the tri-colored screen shows up "bootloader" for about 1 second. Then i got this screen http://img405.imageshack.us/i/20090607028.jpg/
I have let it load for about 20min, then i gave up.
I'm afraid to say this, but you have SPL 2.07, which means you are on 'official SPL' and can only flash TMOS Official ROM (since the only SPL 2.07 is tied to US ROM)
I think the only way is to use goldcard, to flash your country's official ROM via sdcard (although I'm not sure if that will work, because I read some folks have problem with that)
Its seems i also have a problem flashing a stock rom for warranty reasons.
I did the following steps:
1. Get an official stock rom. (in my case it would me a NLD ROm 1.48)
2. Put it on storage card en change to LEOIMG.nbh
3. Turn of phone, press volume down en power up unntil tri color screen apears.
4. Follow steps on sreen.
But. I dont get step 4. On step it says for 1 sec ''loading''. After that, it goes back to the trii colour HARDSPL screen.
Does anyone know what im doing wrong?
I tried two different SD cards. A 2 gb version and a 4 gb version (both from Scandisk formatted as FAT32)
Is there a way/possible to flash a stock rom using activesync?

Okej :O. Im not 100% sure what you meen, but is my warranty valid then?
Im gona send my hd2 in to htc cuz my display is broke. So i perhaps get a new phone. So the only thing im intrested in is to get my warranty valid.

No, your warranty is invalid as you're using an SPL/ROM not for your region - hence why you shouldn't flash a ROM from the SD card as this is the issue you have. You're now stuck with a broken HD2 until HSPL can be used on SPL 2.x

Okej. Thats not good Hope some one release a HSPL 2.xx then =) But now i can't even use my phone anymore.
(just to double check)when you boot to bootloader, what does it say next to spl?
if it says spl 2.x then the above posts are correct, and you are stuck with spl2 until hspl2 is released.
You CAN get your phone working again, even with spl 2.
You need a goldcard, and you can then flash the 2.x official rom which will at least get your phone working. Once it is working, you can then flash custom roms using sspl BUT ONLY roms based on the 2.x official rom, and you won't be able to change radios using sspl. The only way you can change your radio is flashing a 2.x official rom with the goldcard.
So, i finally went and tried to get a 6.5.5 rom on my HD2 after reading everywhere that its alot better. Everything worked, the hardspl, the customruu installation..
then the phone booted, it showed the rom information (ROMeOS4 LEO Windows Mobile 6.5.5) and it said it was "customizing" dont know why really.. then it restarded, and now it wont get past the white HTC screen.. what do i do??

There would be a radio on your device from your original rom, it's probably just the wrong version. As stated, for that rom you require either the 2.07.50 or 2.08.50 radio. Follow the link in my signature and flash the radio exactly the same way as you flashed your rom.
OKay i got all that but i cant flash it because the phone is stuck at the white htc boot screen so the customRuu doesnt recognize it.
what do i do now? im stumped.. is there a manual hard reset key press or something?
EDIT: I figured out how to get into bootloader and im now putting the right radio on it, lets see if this works

Just pot your phone in bootloader mode by reseting while presing volume down button and after that flash the proper radio.

Putting the radio wich you suggested on it didnt work, it still hangs at the white htc screen... should i flash another rom? i really dont wanna kill my HD2 haha

I sugest you to flash back your original rom by sd card and restart the whole proces once again by flashing the radio first and after that the desired rom.
By flashing the original rom trought sd card metod you will have to reinstall HSPL.

a Rom Canot Work Without Radio Thats Why wont get thrue
try this and see....
try to hold both up/dowm volume keys and thn hold power button.
one message will appear tht,if u want to restore ur phone or not, press the upper volume button, ur phone will restore on its original settings.......try it out.....
mine got stuck on the white screen last week... i removed the SD card, restarted it again and then it worked...then i retried with the sd card and it was ok... don't know why

you will brick your T-Mobile HD2 with this ROM. this is not a compatible ROM for the T-Mobile HD2.

that radio has killed it. You cant get into bootloader, so the above wont help.

Thats why its always important to read the stickies and the 'for noobs' postings before flashing. They stress it so many times but yet there's always someone who just doesnt read. Or if they do read they dont understand and flash anyway.

I had the same thing happen to me. I downloaded hspl but didnt notice that there was a difference between the leo and tmousa roms. Anyway i installed a rom and it bricked my phone. I have HSPL 2.08 installed. Does this mean i can just retry a different tmousa rom (by sd card or usb??) and im ok?
Or am i screwed too and have to go to a early version?

if you just flashed a rom, you are fine. Boot into bootloader, and flash a compatible rom. Its only radios that kill the tmous, and most custom roms dont include a radio. Its mainly the non tmous official roms you need to avoid.
so basically thats what ive been doing. i put a nbh file into a sd card and load bootloader. It doesnt seem to do anything. I found on you tube that i have to rename the file to leoimg.nbh?
do i have to do this or do i just throw a compatible nbh file and it should autoload in bootloader. Also is there a way to install 2.13.xxx the lastest tmobile stock rom from bootloader? All the ones i have been able to find are in .exe format and want me to have my device be active synced. I tried putting those on a sd card and flashing like that but i didnt do anything.
the funny thing was i really did try to flash a radio from a leo at first but it did not work after 5 attempts. Then the chucky rom finally did the trick.
Now i cant seem to flash from sd card. I dont think i know the process.

damn im trying to install the nibbey rom but it doesnt work. I got it to go to 7% max one time and now its always 0% when i retry. I put the leo_customruu in the same folder as the nibbey nbh. and then start the customruu! is this the correct procedure?

Yes it says hspl not 0000. Also i think my batter is below 50 percent now with no way to charge it. im starting to be believe that might be the reason it stopped at 7 percent and now the more i retry i get 0%.
also i am not able to get a active sync connection anymore with my device stuck in hspl bootloader. So the whole usb rom flash fails every time. Someone help i need my phone tomorrow.
i got it fixed! turns out i needed a 2gb sd card and it worked perfectly to install a custom rom.

Do you have a recovery flashed?
Did you do a full backup beforehand?

i take the phone like this htc hang logo no backup.

Sorry but I've never heard of anything like that. There should be a recovery tool for windows. I only have this phone so you will have to investigate for yourself.
Keep looking in this thread someone else will come along soon.

It's obvious your phone is not rooted. Try flashing an RUU.
1: Visit here:

2: Get any Eclair RUU,
RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151892_signed.exe
(I am assuming your phone was not operator locked / branded)
3: Connect your Wildfire to your PC, and, run the EXE file. (Note: Make sure the EXE file downloads fully. It is approx 130 MB in size)
4: Let the process complete (Takes ~15 minutes)
If it is successful, check whether the phone starts up properly or not. If it still doesn't, return it to you dealer and claim your warranty.

Is your phone an operator branded one?
Anyway, to solve that, you will need to create a goldcard. Guide here:
http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/
But remember, if your phone is branded, this will remove their ROM and add a stock HTC WWE (Worldwide English) one, probably voiding the warranty if there is no RUU for your carrier.
