Problem With JF 1.51 - Sound Stops when Email Notification Arrives - G1 General

Love JF's 1.50 and now 1.51. The problem I'm having is that If I'm listening to MP3's with a Seidio audio adapter, or the HTC Ear Buds plugged in all audio drops out until I do a shutdown and restart of the phone. It doesn't happen every time, but just regularly enough to be annoying. Has anyone else run into this scenario?

Did you update to the latest radio?

I have a similar issue. While listening to music either with the USB headphones that came with the phone or using th 3-in-1 adapter(after doing the hot swap trick) the sound gets all scratchy and static-filled when any alert is entered into the notification bar: emails, SMS, WeatherBug updates, etc. The music does continue to play, there is not complete drop.
I am using JF 1.51 with the latest radio .26I.

G1 not switching to headset when plugged in

Hi forum,
I was too fast and bricked my old G1, so I got one from Craigslist, flashed it correctly with CM5.0.7, 5.0.8test4, and with SpeedTeam 1.2 and 2.0. The phone stays playing music through the speaker when ExtUSB headset is plugged in (as opposed to expected switching audio to headphones).
I didn't check this functionality on stock firmware.
There is togggleheadset app which was supposed to fix some bug in 1.5 which actually switches the audio to headset as expected, but then freezes and one has to reboot the phone to get audio back to the speaker.
Did anyone experience this? Can it be fixed so the phone behaves as expected, that is switching to audio when plugged into a headset?
Thank you.

Music player randomly starting, stuttering when i plug my headphones in.

I have this problem not just with android, but wp7 also. Whenever i plug my headphone in the music player would randomly start, stutter, and skip songs. The only way to stop this is to pull my headphone out. This happens with every android build i have flashed for the past year. How can i fix this?
I have one set of in-ear phones that cause skipping (and false calls on winmo) during playback, and I can't explain it. My best guess is that the 3.5mm jack is leaking signal into the connector for the stock headphone controls, sending false signals that the phone thinks are commands from the remote.
Try some other earphones,if it doesn't happen then it's something along those lines.
I also get this with my sennheiser cx270's, sometimes its fine, other times it goes berserk.
Same, no other earphones seem to fix this, so I'm thinking it's the jack. It happens every once in a while.

Audio routing with headphones

Ok this is an issue that's plagued this phone since 2.2 came out(at least that's when I noticed it) and I'm asking if anyone knows of a workaround, fix, or otherwise to resolve this. My issue is that when I have headphones plugged in, listening to music, playing a game or whatever, I want(and expect) notification sounds(ringers, new text, new e-mail, etc.) sound to play through, and only through, the headphones. Instead what I get is that it plays through the external speaker(huh?) AND the headphones. I would expect that with anything plugged into the 3.5mm jack that the external speaker is entirely muted and remains that way until whatever's plugged into it is removed.
I work in a fairly quiet environment and sometimes forget to turn my ringer off when I get to the office. I am almost always listening to a podcast with my headphones though and it's disturbing to those around me and startles me, lol, when my phone rings, blasting it out to those around me. I have experienced this issue on the official 2.2 froyo build(and it's patches). I installed SFR(all versions) hoping it might do the trick but so far no. Is this something that might be fixed in a different kernel? I know I have options to run a different one and am not averse to trying it out if this is fixable. SFR has Voodoo control pre-installed which I checked to see if it had any settings for this type of thing and found none.
Help?
This is an issue with Android itself (all versions) and it is the same on every phone. I think Cyanogenmod is the only "solution."'

[Q] Popping sound when SMS interrupts music?

Got my Note3 on VZW last night, and so far i love almost everything about it....except...
I am sitting at work streaming music. I have a set of speakers plugged into the headphone jack.
When i receive an SMS (or any notification), the music pauses like normal. However, right before and after the pause, i hear a "pop" sound, as if i physically unplugged the speakers and plugged them back in. My Gnex that the note replaced definitely did not do this.
I don't believe it made the sound when connected BT in my car.
Is anyone else seeing this behavior? It sounds like a grounding issue.
Same for me

I am using Rhapsody, so there isn't another app option. I dont have any local music on the phone yet, but i will try that at some point.
I stream music through Rhapsody every day. I hope this isn't a hardware issue. Seeing poweramp work better makes me hopeful it is just a software issue.

No notification sounds when using bluetooth headphones

Hey all, it's been bothering me for quite a while and am just getting around to it now.
When listening to music (on any type of player app), I do not hear my notification sounds. The only thing that happens is that the music still plays, but lowers itself to maybe 20% for a few seconds, then back to normal.
This is the only way I know "something" came in. But with no audio queues, I have no idea from which app.
I believe I never had this issue with my old wired headphones. Unfortunately I no longer have wired headphones to test with.
Has anyone else come across this?
