Im getting an ultra slow startup? Its loading messages and phonebook when it boots making it really slow? anyone have a solution?
Same thing here running Dutty's 3.0. We have two HDs in the office on the same rom. One loads all emails (several hundred) and loads all business and personal contacts (several hundred). While the other HD loads only the last few days of emails and 70 or so contacts. All other things being equal, the latter loads after a reset in approximately thirty seconds while the former takes 2-3 minutes, and in one casee 5 minutes to load.

I'm seriously getting 4 and 5 copies of many (but not all) sms msgs. My friends are getting dupes from me, but usually just one repeat of what I've sent. Oddest thing is that these repeats are anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hours later, after the original msg was sent.
this has been going on for a day or so at a time for several months, but this time it has been happening for about a week.
any ideas?

After I added my GMail account, I noticed very slow boot time. Sense needs around minute-two to boot, and the device is slow for another few minutes, and during that time it's almost unusable. I setup both Exchange and GMail to store their attachments on microSD card, but that didn't help speed up the process. When there is only Exchange account present, booting is fast, and device is usable after 30-45 secs.
Does anyone have similar problem? I need both Exchange and GMail for my work, and on both I have a lot of e-mails (around 2-3 thousand) so downloading only last e-mails is not a solution for me.
If someone figured out how to put all e-mails on microSD card, that would be great.
Thanks in advance
Hi all, I am using the latest cookie home tab and I love it!
However, it always take ages when booting up the phone to load the appointments section (around 2-3 minutes). I only have minimal amount of appointments about 10 per month for the coming 3 months only.
Is there any solution to this problem?
Dear learned techies,
I have an un-rooted desire Z (UK from carphone warehouse) with the OTA update installed from a month or so ago. Generally love the phone, but have a couple of issues, and I was wondering whether there was an easy fix.
First (and this is what the thread is mainly about)
My calendar app and widget is hideously slow to update compared to my old touch pro. It takes about 30 seconds for appointments to appear in month view (the triangles by the dates) and as long for appointments to appear in day view, when you are a month or two ahead of time. I only have it synching to outlook. any ideas peeps?
Second, and less annoying, the Sense overlay keeps re-starting, often when exiting another program. I don't think Android itself re-starts, but it spends 30 seconds loading the sense overlay once a while. Sometimes this doesn't happen for ages, sometimes several times a day.
Any advice will be awarded by a cyber-pint! Many thanks in advance!
Starting about a week ago my phone became slower and slower to send and receive text messages. I use the stock messaging software platform. Data is fine and so are phonecalls and connecting. When I first start my phone it takes the normal 1-2 sec for the circle to stop spinning and show the sent timestamp and it's fairly snappy on the receive as well. But after a few hours the phone slows down to taking anywhere between 30 sec to a minute to send and god knows how long to receive. I don't think it's the network as my girlfriend is on the same plan sitting next to me and hers are very snappy. My phone operates fairly snappy but it'll take 30 sec to a min to shutdown. I've tried clearing the cache on the app and clearing the active RAM with no effect. No errors seem to report and no new apps on my phone except for a couple pushed updates. Only thing that seems to help is a reboot. I've also done a factory reset just to clear everything out and re-installed all apps from the market and not using TiBu and the issue returns.
Thoughts?
