Hello everybody,
i wanted to update my new HTC Polaris with another radio rom. It failed during Update process.
After that, it doesn't boot anymore. Now it stays in "3 colour mode". USB is recognized, when i plug in. I've tried to update again and again, but it stays at 0% and then i get an " Error 262". Tested with XP and Vista, no luck.
Any idea, how i get my device work again, don't want to RMA...
(Sorry, for my bad english, i hope you understand.)
Did u try to flash the official ROM again?
At the moment, there is no original Polaris GER ROM in DL section. I've tried O2_ger, Bepe, no luck.
Try the WWE version available in this forum. Once recover, flash the hard SPL and then flash whatever u desired.

i tried, but i get an "ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID" at 1%. I think i need the Original German Rom...
Put the device in bootloader mode then flash with HARD-SPL
After SPL flashed put it again in bootloader mode and flash a rom that you want.
It is already in Bootloadermode = 3 Colour Mode.
When i try Hard-SPL Flash, it also hangs at 0% and give Error 262.
I've also tried, rename *.nbh file to POLADIAG.nbh or POLAIMG.nbh. Here it hangs in the Loading screen. Used Micro-SD formatted as FAT32.
I'm having the exact same problem.. did you manage to work it out?
why did I have to update the rom....??

help!!i really no idea with my devices as i try to flash it to wm6,then it stop at 50% and reboot then hang at bootloader screen,i try to flash again but when it reach 1% it will restart and update error msg prompt, it said "the image is corrupted" if im using sd card flash,it come out 00068002 on the top of the"loading" words then go in the tri colour screen again. anyone pls help me pls!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man I wish you guys would do a LITTLE research on how to flash stuff... I bet you don't have Hard SPL installed even though its splashed about all over the forum.....
Try to download the SHIPPED STOCK ROM again... It seems you have a corrupted download.
Once you have downloaded the rom, then reset Hermes into TRUE bootloader, not the failed flash you are getting.
On the PC, untick "Allow USB connections" in active sync the connect Hermes.
Double click on RUU_Wrapper.exe of the freshly downloaded rom. Follow prompts...
Pray......
Then, if it works, INSTALL HARD SPL V7...........

Hello friends i'm italian and sorry for my english.
I have a problem with my hermes200.
I have flashing on my tytn a rom kitchen using "package tool by bepe" with nb IPL, SPL, Mainsplash, Subsplash, ExtROM and GSM extrated from original rom htc tytn wm6 and a OS.nb extrated from rom kaiser ITA wm6.1.
When the flashing is termined the hermes don't start: push power botton but the screen is black and only green light is ON.
I have flashed original htc hermes wm6 but i have "error 226 flash write" when the process is at 89%.
I have IPL-1.04 and SPL-2.04. CID.
SPL 2.10, SPL 2.20, SPL 2.30 are not possibile to install.
i have try command with mtty tool:
- task 32 -> FF
- task 28 -> format storage success
- task 2a -> fix bad block
- info 8 -> much bad block Os Win CE
I've try to reflash the original rom but the problem is the same
The battery don't possibile to charge and level should be of 40%.

Hello, I have Arte100 and all I can do is to enter in boot mode... I try to update rom, but always get "error 226".

SPL locked, so you get the error!
Unlock USPL first then afterthat flash!
SPL shall become 1.11 instead of your 1.12..
follow these steps:
1) USPL your device click here
2) Flash any new rom you like click here for original shipped roms or search this forum for any other rom you like....
Hello guys, I've got a p3300 which I can't update to a WM 6.1. It's the factory's 6.0. It's originally simfree so I dunno if I need to go through the USPL.
The thing is that it gives me 270 Corrupted image error.
As I thought that being simfree originally, didn't need to do CID unlock, I tried to flash a cooked ROM with no success whatsoever.
Any ideas?

DONT try to install any rom untill you flash ''uspl cmon''!
you might brick the O2xdaOrbit/p3300!!
* put the two cab files on your device and run them.
* get activesync connection
* run dos window
* soft reset after 100% to get activesync connection.
- only when the rom update utility window opened on pc..
* uspl cmon rom update utility.
***ONLY after doing uspl is it safe to flash a rom.
* if you have an SD card in the device, take it out..
when you have done uspl on your device startup you will see..
SPL: 1.11.cmon
* its done.

Having problems with this.
For 2 days I try all the files and ways to set 1.11.cmon on my P3300 and always stuck at one place no matter what versions of the program I get.
IPL 3.07.0001
SPL 1.11.0000
GSM 02.98.90
OS 3.13.0.0
are the red numbers I see when I restart it.
The problems are that when connect phone and see connected on ActiveSync I start start_uspl program. After 100% connection with Active Sync dissapears and I see black screen on my PPC, then I run ROMUpdateUtility and It says some error that there is no phone connected.
If I start ROMUpdateUtility before start_uspl I go in to boot loader mode ( the 3 colors screen ) and then again that there is no phone connected.
I have done this 15 times or more with different versions of the program and it stucks on the same places ALL the time no matter what version I use.
My artemis had 1.11.cmon before, but I installed the LAST Artemis P3300 ROM from the WIKI. That removed the 1.11.cmon from the phone. After that I have Installed Vanilla 2.0 WWE version on the phone and started the process to set 1.11.cmon on the phone. No success. After some 6.5.5 ROM from the forum, then process to set 1.11.cmon and again nothing...
Please HELP!

All works as the brains here say. My problem was that I am using Windows 7 at home and Windows Vista at other place I did try to fix this problem. However with Windows XP this whole operation works properly as the people here say. Big thanks to them and I hope you success in this operation too

Dear Friends,
After USPL the screen of Artemis becomes white and running RUU ends up with error 266. And even after a soft reset running RUU ends until 3% after that comes error 270.
Any solution will be highly appreciated.

put the 2cabs on your device and run them..
rapi & cert
run_startuspl - on pc
when this is 100% - soft reset device
-now continue to do rom update utility (uspl ruu)
this should work..?

i have to admit, i had same trouble to do uspl1.11cmon but eventually it worked.. frustrating.. i know.. but keep trying.. if i was you i would flash back to the official rom.. which should get rid of 1.11.0000 and set back to original spl..
i put rapi and cert on my device, ran them, connected to pc, ran ''run_startuspl'' that made penguin on screen on device.. went to 100% then white screen.. Ruu automaticly opened on pc but i didnt continue with Ruu.. i soft reset device, got activesync connection again and then i continued with the open Ruu..

Thanks RN, you know, I was trying all this time and my Artemis frozen now (freezes on startup screen IPL 1.25.0001 / SPL 1.27.0000 / GSM 02.69.90 / OS 3.4.0.0. and dopod logo) not moving further. Whats going on? Can you help me?!

- CID : DOPOD701
My ELF worked fine before I tried to upgrade its IPL from 1.11.0002 to 2.26.0002, then this problem occur. Because a WM 6.1 ROM requires to have IPL 2.27.0002 and SPL 2.28.0000 so I kept continue upgrade the IPL/SPL to 2.27.0002 and 2.28.0000.
I tried to flash my ELF, from bootloader mode, with these ROMs:
- RUU_Elf_DOPOD_chs_1.11.706.1B, this ROM I got from a China forum, it is my device original ROM
- RUU_Elf_DOPODASIA_WWE_1.11.707.1B_4.1.13.42_02.93.90_Ship.exe
- RUU_Elf_DOPODASIA_WWE_1.17.707.2B_4.1.13.46_02.97.90_BLUE_Ship.exe
- RUU_Elf_HTC_Asia_HK_WWE_1.15.721.3B_4.1.13.46_02.97.90_BLUE_Ship.exe
- ESSential_4_5
- Onyx_jr_4_4_2_Light
They are all 100% successfull but the IPL/SPL unchanged (2.27.0002 and 2.28.0000) and the device still loop at smart mobility, can not jump into OS.
I did try to use unbricker ROM and goldcard (with original ROM or unbricker ROM inside) but the ELF still stuck at smart mobility...
Please give me your advices, what should I do (except buying a new phone)?

First try to flash your official ROM and then try to flash ipl/spl again follow step by step. After that try to flash customize ROM again. Hope you will success.

I don't have the IPL1.11.0002 and SPL 1.11.0000, the lowest I have is IPL1.17.0002 and SPL1.17.0000. I tried to flash back the 1.17 version, after 100% successful, enter bootloader, the IPL 2.27.0002 and SPL 2.28.0000 still remain!?
Please tell me how to do!

After flash back to official ROM , enter bootloader and check ipl/spl first.
Normally, if you flash ipl/spl (not hard spl) when you flash back to the official ROM the ipl/spl will back to original. S/R - wait for boot to WM if OK then do H/R again. And flash ipl/spl again - enter bootloader and check ipl/spl again (changed or not) if OK after that I recommended you flash Onyx ROM. I used it for long time and no trouble.

How you flashed ROM ? By RUU (PC) or used microSD card. I recommened you to use RUU (PC) follow step by step. Sometime when I used microSD card to flashed ROM , it's successful but cannot boot, after that I flashed Official ROM by RUU and unlocked the phone again it's back to normal. And your official ROM, you must check with your operator or distributor because in different zone it's use diferent ROM.

I only can flash via PC RUU, I don't succeed in SD card way:
- When I copy the *.nbh file into SD card, then enter bootloader, I just can see the checking SD card content string displayed very fast, then the tri color screen.
- When I create a goldcard and copy *nbh file into it, enter bootloader, the brick ask for 'upgrading SD image', I press power button for it to start download but it hang at 'downloading from SD' with a blank download status bar.
Actually I bought this ELF from a man on my local site, so I don't know where is the distributor...I used the mtty and usb monitor to check for my device infor, then search internet for my original ROM, I only can find in a China forum that match my deviceID/CID....
For my case, I really don't know why I can not change its IPL/SPL version? Please help me!!!

well u hav to rename the nbh file to ELF0IMG for SD card flashing to work.
