Support for WPA2 AES? WM6.5Pro - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

I am currently using WM6.5Pro Beta v7.9 (sun_dream)16mb ramdisk and it doesn't support wpa2/aes
are there any build that support it? would this feature be added in the future?
thanks

well if you use the search you will find out that BA does not support WPA2 in the first place, and to answer your question there is no rom or build that supports it, and no it is inpossible to make it work without proper driver, and we do not have one.

Hacking WPA2 Support?

Hi Fellas-
Has anyone seen information on how one might hack WPA2 support into a pre-AKU3 device? I'm thinking it may be possible to copy some DLL's and config files out of a newer ROM image and paste them into my hw6945 to get it to support WPA2. Any ideas?
BTW, I have tried using Juniper's Odyssey client v4.02 (included with the iPAQ), but that will not connect. Juniper has a newer version, but they want me to pay $50 to upgrade to v4.5 and even then there are no guarntees of it working.
PS... Good luck all on hacking WM6 support!!!!!

[REQ] Android Expert - Help with Athena Kernel

As title, I am trying to find an expert on android, basically I have android 1.0 from a package released a while ago in the athena forums, I also have a config file that I believe adds touchscreen drivers etc and there is also a kernel patch.
If I am correct these need to be applied in a linux enviroment, something I dont have or know much about, so I am asking for a bit of help.
Is it possible to:
a)Apply the patch file to a newer build 1.6 or 2.0 and see if it works?
b)Apply the config to the 1.0 kernel I have downloaded to try it
Ideally if possible I would love to have option a.
Could someone let me know if any of this is possible and if someone out there is able to do it for me.
Thanks

Wireless Tether for Liquid - We need testers!

Hi!
I'm one of the authors of "Wireless Tether for Root Users".
We are currently trying to add support for the liquid. The problem is that we don't have such a device available for testing!
That's why we probably need YOU!
I've created an issue-report on our google-code page:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/issues/detail?id=289
There you can find (hopefully helpful) information and download-links to test-applications. Please add your comments (regarding problems or other stuff) there. I will ask questions - please try to answer these as good/fast as you can (this helps to get it done).
Ah ... one more thing: Wirelesss Tether needs a custom kernel (netfilter-support!) - please see our faq (http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/wiki/FAQ).
Thanks for your help.

Im up for it let me know what tests need to be done etc.
im willing to test also.
as for the kernel module required for wireless networking to work correctly....we aren't able to compile the module for some reason. iirc the liquid was using some non-standard module for one portion of the networking, was so long ago can't remember exactly. Disc0 was the one who wrote about it, i'll see if ican find it.
I was personally thinking about this the other day, is it possible to run both a wifi and hsdpa connection and bridge them? if we could then it'd be as simple as an ad-hoc network and a proxy solution
http://android.modaco.com/content-page/302370/disco-custom-kernel-v-b01/page/220/#entry1188059
built fine but fc on every apk as disc0 said. Don't think he released his modified kernel source either

Yes, it'd be nice if you wrote some guide, so I could incorporate it into a general wifi-N topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1019371 - with giving you credits, of course

[Q] [Help][EAP-SIM] upgrade wpa_supplicant

hi everybody !
I need a working EAP-SIM auth on wifi. So i modified wpa_supplicant.conf, like described here but it doesn't work. I found that the problem seems to be that the version of wpa_supplicant (0.6.x) in many Roms doesn't support EAP-SIM (I'm on Cyanogenmod 7.2). I would like to know if its possible to upgrade wpa_supplicant to 0.8 or patch it. If it's not possible is there a rom out there where wpa_supplicant v0.8 is implemented. It seems to work with freemobile stock rom S5360XXLK3_S5360FRELI1_S5360XXLK3_HOME, but i'd like to stay on AOSP Rom's.
Sorry for my bad english.
