Hacking WPA2 Support?

Hi Fellas-
Has anyone seen information on how one might hack WPA2 support into a pre-AKU3 device? I'm thinking it may be possible to copy some DLL's and config files out of a newer ROM image and paste them into my hw6945 to get it to support WPA2. Any ideas?
BTW, I have tried using Juniper's Odyssey client v4.02 (included with the iPAQ), but that will not connect. Juniper has a newer version, but they want me to pay $50 to upgrade to v4.5 and even then there are no guarntees of it working.
PS... Good luck all on hacking WM6 support!!!!!

WPA2 AES and Universal...

I seem to have problems connecting to a WPA2 (AES) enabled Access Point.
With WPA1 (TKIP) everything is working fine.
Installed the WiFiService.CAB found in here, without any success. Can someone please confirm if WPA2 is working with universal? If yes which ROM version and ideally is there any cab file with the required drivers?
PS: I m using a wm5 ROM atm

How to enable internet sharing (tethering) with stock ROM?

Hi,
As title said. I want to share internet using my X1 with a stock ROM. I tried dutty's inernet sharing app but it did not work. Is there any working app to share internet with PC using a stock ROM(like UK STOCK R3 ROM)
And yes i have searched all over but most solutions i have found works only on selected phones, not X1.
Thanks.
Go to the start menu-->Programs-->Internet Sharing
If you need help, there is a help menu in the start menu.
There is no Internet sharing application with the UK stock ROM at least.
I have a stock UK ROM and Internet Sharing is listed under Internet (not sure if this was a folder created by me in the dawn of Xperia ownership, but the program was definitely installed when I got it.
I personally use WMWifiRouter, I'm guessing you're wanting to share a fixed Internet point from your laptop, rather than sharing your 3G access?
I want to access the internet from my laptop using my phone internet connection. I'm using the R3A stock ROM, definitely there is no internet sharing utility in this ROM...
I have a stock generic UK rom and definitely the internet sharing is found under start-programs and works both with the cable and with bluetooth with my toshiba laptop

Yes, Internet Sharing is definitely included in the generic ROMs, but perhaps your network operator didn't include it in its specific ROM.
Maybe it's just the program icon (and not the application itself) that was removed; in this case there should be an applacation named "IntShrUI" in your \Windows directory that you can run using File Explorer.

Wireless Tether for Liquid - We need testers!

Hi!
I'm one of the authors of "Wireless Tether for Root Users".
We are currently trying to add support for the liquid. The problem is that we don't have such a device available for testing!
That's why we probably need YOU!
I've created an issue-report on our google-code page:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/issues/detail?id=289
There you can find (hopefully helpful) information and download-links to test-applications. Please add your comments (regarding problems or other stuff) there. I will ask questions - please try to answer these as good/fast as you can (this helps to get it done).
Ah ... one more thing: Wirelesss Tether needs a custom kernel (netfilter-support!) - please see our faq (http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/wiki/FAQ).
Thanks for your help.

Im up for it let me know what tests need to be done etc.
im willing to test also.
as for the kernel module required for wireless networking to work correctly....we aren't able to compile the module for some reason. iirc the liquid was using some non-standard module for one portion of the networking, was so long ago can't remember exactly. Disc0 was the one who wrote about it, i'll see if ican find it.
I was personally thinking about this the other day, is it possible to run both a wifi and hsdpa connection and bridge them? if we could then it'd be as simple as an ad-hoc network and a proxy solution
http://android.modaco.com/content-page/302370/disco-custom-kernel-v-b01/page/220/#entry1188059
built fine but fc on every apk as disc0 said. Don't think he released his modified kernel source either

Changing Wifi Mac Adress??

Hi,
can somebody tell me if its possible to change the Wifi Mac Adress on a HTC HD2 running Android??
Regards
Alex
Each ROM/build has it's own way of changing the MAC address.
some just require a small txt file placed in a specific location and others require more work. I'm not sure if all ROMs/builds support MAC address change
It's better to look up the answer in the main page of the ROM/build you're using, and ask about it if you don't find any answer.
The problem is that I'm not allowed to place my question in the ROM Threat because I don't have the necessary posts (10 I think) to place it there So I have to spam here to have them
