G-sensor - Touch 3G General

Hi guys
I have a question about a g-sensor on jade.
I have read that us phone don't have it,but when I install some program that work with g-sensor,I don't see any error message (For exemple,if you install g-alarm and activate a setting for use a g-sensor).
I think that the g-sensor is only disable and need the driver for run.
How you think about it?

Can u snooze or close alarm by face it down??
I ever tried to set tilt sensor function of G-Alarm
and I got some message like "your phone doesn't have tilt sensor..."
But now I can set this function but it don't work,
it can't snooze or close alarm.
P.S.I use G-Alarm V1.4.5

I use G-Alarm 1.5.1
When I active the sensor function,It gives me this message:
"Your tilt sensor could be accessed and calibrize"
Later,It dosen't work,but I think that the jade don't has a g-sensor driver inside.
I think that if someone extract a driver of another device (I'm not able) and modified it for jade,we can have a acelerometer in us device

GSen (SKKV Software)

Anyone tried this app on the athena? (as it also has an accelerometer) If so does it work?
http://s-k-tools.com/index.html?m_util.html#gsen
Would be brilliant if it works but my hopes aren't high as I couldn't find anything on the topic.

looks like a nice tool, but after I installed on my Ameo I tried to use GSen Version 1.40.
But a window popup with following message :
cannot connect to GSensor (1)
mhh, doesn't run on Ameo ... and delete it ...
Ameo, t-mobile ROM version 6
btw: I've now asked the developer why GSen is not running on Ameo ... hope I get an answer..
Accelerometer
Hey,
I've installed it on my HTC Advantage X7510 with WM6.! Professional, and I can confirm that it works.
When I'm in the today screen and I turn the PDA it does turn in Landscape and Portrait mode with no problem great at last it works.
Thanks for the link if anybody what's me to try anything please let me known.
Thanks
Gigino
I am happy for you gigino, but I am in the same boat as palmchen (have a X7500 with t-mobile WM6 ROM).
Perhaps the interface to the sensor is slightly different between WM6 and 6.1
I am sure it can't be that difficult to access it from WM6. Hopefully the developer will be able to implement it or give some clue which will assist some brainbox from this community in hacking this version to get working with WM6. In my eyes this is one of those killer apps.
I tried this on wm6.1, and had the same error message.
IMO the answer is simple: it works using HTC VUEFLO .dll. X7510 has those dll, x7500 doesn't!
In AP4 or AP5 it will work

mhh, simple question?
could you please provide the new vueflo.dll for the old devices ?
If it only a dll to change that should be not a problem, or ?
btw: I've asked the developer, but he told me that he is to busy and have no time in the moment to update this programm.
Thanks for this. It is a great find. Works well with my X7510.
This is a must have application for the X7510. It is just amazing.

For some it is a must have. For others, it is an annoyance and irritation.
only because we can't get it working!
Sorry guys, we doesn´t have these devices for testing.
We just was surprised about the info, our tool is working on HTC Advantage X7510.
Also we not know the reason why it is not working on HTC Advantage X7500.
Possible reasons:
- missing/different software driver
- different ROM/ACU version
- missing needed hardware
As i said, we cannot test because of missing hardware.

Not because of that. It was working all right.
I hated this auto rotate thing because 9 out of times the rotate happens against my wish, and it slows my device.
After the initial few minutes of novelty, I was already wanting to switch it off.

Thanks for the info, but I still far prefer assigning rotate screen to a hardware button and just press that when I want to rotate.

No, I don't, there are SOME dll, you can find it in the AP4 / AP5 ROM. I agree, the rotation is too slow and the screen rotation is useless and time consuming 90% of time. My brain is much faster in image rotation and my finger is slower than brain but acts only when needed

Screen rotation is fast on mine. Might be ROM or today screen related in yours.
The speed you can change in settings: #timeout(value) - default value 1000 ms
Check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2351034#post2351034
X7500 (Ameo) with AP4 or AP5
I have tried it, but still I get the message that the gsensor cannot be found.
Edit:
Oeps it just start working. I noticed the veuflo was disabled.
can anyone post those .dll files, so others can use them? thanks

TouchFlo 2D Problem

Yesterday i downloaded a Manilla 2D in .cab file. I copied to my phone, install and i have on my screen "Tap here to launch TouchFLO", i take it but it dont work. Can anyone tell me wtf? Plz help
Gonna need a little more info than that, chief.
For instance:
Are you running WM5, or WM6?
Which release of M2D did you try to install?
Do you have HTC Home installed?
Did you RTFA?
...and lastly, try posting your problem in the thread for that application, not in a board three clicks away from it, where the guy that cooked it might never see your questions.

Dude which version of touchflo 2D did you download ? Downloading a single cab install for the Wizard is crazy. Download the 18 Release and make sure you install the Shared DLL's and the HTC Patch for older devices BEFORE installing the manilla cab. The easier alternative is to backup your device and flash a Manilla 2D rom found in the Wizard Mobile 6 Forum
unable to launch touchflo 2d

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure you didn't change M2D panel settings, turn on a new panel, or otherwise run a program like M2DC that would create registry entry changes? Did you accidentally enable something other than Manila in the Today settings? Also, check to see if you have enough free memory to actually run it. Lots of people miss the fact that you need to clear out temp files occasionally, and WM5/6 does a terrible job of it. Use ClearTemp if you appear to be running out of memory. Also, make sure that programs you open are actually getting closed. Filling up RAM with running programs (especially those that run on startup, like battery minders, lock programs, script programs, etc.) could also prevent M2D from running.

Possible workaround for tflo3D landscape

Still doesn't work, but sounds promising
Founded reg value to check keyboard status: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3050783
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\Keyboard DWORD:SlidingOut"
Founded a "deamon" to chek it: http://puna.net.nz/wm6/ - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359212
Now the problem:
tflo3d still remains on foreground, I have to open->close->re-open to show my application (set in "advanced" by SlideActions)
I suspect this is because tflo try to rotate even if it does'nt support it, how to disable?
Arent there any plans by the TouchFlo creators to do a landscape mode? Even on the other HTC devices it would make sense....maybe it will come..
someone should port from raphael or fuze the landscape action screen to our blackstone version, but seems pretty difficoult as for now no one has even started and there is no documentation from wich to start, otherwise I whould try myself
So I try to get a workaround

where is this solution?

Remove Dialer

Does anyone know how i can remove the touch it blackstone dialer as it is a bit laggy for me? When i try windows tells me it cannot be completely removed.
AFAIK only hardreset will help. Did it twice, now I know how to re-setup my device in few moments. Also I keep all CABs I use on card.
One of the reasons I don't use TF3D anymore is it has tons (1600) files in windows folder which slows down a lot of things. I just don't this kind of mess on my device (WM alone are enough mess).

You are talking about different things here, the dialer does not mean TF3D.
I deinstalled the Blackstone Dialer via Activesync, but I never tried it from inside the phone so I can't tell if there were problems with deinstalling.
Just reinstall the original Xperia Dialpad (dialer)
The cab is here
cab provided deletes HTC's "incoming call" menu previously installed!
The cab installs the Xperia dialpad, that's true, but by completely removing the HTC GUI for incoming calls as well!
To accomplish this, I could also uninstall the HTC gui, I would not need your cab for that!
Is there any way to have both
1. the Xperia dialer
2. a graphical GUI for the incoming call (incl. photo etc.)
This seems surprisingly difficult!
There is an easy way...
... to have
1. a graphical incoming call window including caller photo id
2. the original dial/pin/... keypad of the Xperia
Just install S2U2 (slide2unlock) freeware, you can disable the locking feature and just use its caller id feature!
It works just well, and you can forget about all this additional HTCphone stuff (which of course you should uninstall this way...)!

Not true. S2U2 is even more laggy than the HTC slide to answer thing.
I suggest sticking to the Blackstone dialer, it's the fastest I ever used.
The dial/pin/keypad is only a skin, performance will not improve if you have the Xperia dialer with slide to answer.

how to switch from htc dialer to ms or another one?

hello to everybody.
I am experiencing a big slowdown using htc dialer: sometimes it freezes, sometimes the buttons are not functioning even if I press them...and of course when I am phoning...for example I have troubles in pressing the keypad softkey to use the dialer...or to turn on the speaker...
I use the rom in my signature and S2u2 2.34.... no special registry tweaks or strange apps... if I hard reset it works for some hours and after that it starts freezing... I read somewhere it is a know bug of htc dialer... How can I replace it? maybe with another app? using ms dialer? and in this case, how to switch to microsofts' one smoothly?
thanks in advance
all the best
http://www.iconsoft.com/?language=en&menu=62e094db10fc83b1
thanks for the tip.
but does it overwrite completely htc software for calls?
I installed inesoft phone trial software just to check...
I have the same issues, so for sure it is a problem related to WM.
Both htc dialer software and inesoft for sure use the same layer....
ahhhh, wtf....
I'm about 99% sure it has to be something specific to what 3rd party software you've installed, because on the same ROM, I didn't experience this, but I did not use S2u2, so if I had to guess, this would be my first place to look. Have you tried uninstalling S2u2 2.34?
yes, I do mtty everytime I flash, and I flashed so many times I stopped counting.
if this is real (3rd party software in conflict) it's a big problem...
which one? I always installed more or less the same software and if I start to check it manually well, I need 1 week...
thanks for the reply anyway.
I am trying S2u2 now... I will post here news
it seems not to be s2u2 or the colored taskbar I use...
I will try hard reset and then one apps at a time... but when I'll have time.
for now, I can live with it...
I am using hard key for ending call... keypad sometimes works, sometimes not...
uff...
