Still doesn't work, but sounds promising
Founded reg value to check keyboard status: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3050783
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\Keyboard DWORD:SlidingOut"
Founded a "deamon" to chek it: http://puna.net.nz/wm6/ - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359212
Now the problem:
tflo3d still remains on foreground, I have to open->close->re-open to show my application (set in "advanced" by SlideActions)
I suspect this is because tflo try to rotate even if it does'nt support it, how to disable?
Arent there any plans by the TouchFlo creators to do a landscape mode? Even on the other HTC devices it would make sense....maybe it will come..
someone should port from raphael or fuze the landscape action screen to our blackstone version, but seems pretty difficoult as for now no one has even started and there is no documentation from wich to start, otherwise I whould try myself
So I try to get a workaround

Anyone tried this app on the athena? (as it also has an accelerometer) If so does it work?

Would be brilliant if it works but my hopes aren't high as I couldn't find anything on the topic.

looks like a nice tool, but after I installed on my Ameo I tried to use GSen Version 1.40.
But a window popup with following message :
cannot connect to GSensor (1)
mhh, doesn't run on Ameo ... and delete it ...
Ameo, t-mobile ROM version 6
btw: I've now asked the developer why GSen is not running on Ameo ... hope I get an answer..
Accelerometer
Hey,
I've installed it on my HTC Advantage X7510 with WM6.! Professional, and I can confirm that it works.
When I'm in the today screen and I turn the PDA it does turn in Landscape and Portrait mode with no problem great at last it works.
Thanks for the link if anybody what's me to try anything please let me known.
Thanks
Gigino
I am happy for you gigino, but I am in the same boat as palmchen (have a X7500 with t-mobile WM6 ROM).
Perhaps the interface to the sensor is slightly different between WM6 and 6.1
I am sure it can't be that difficult to access it from WM6. Hopefully the developer will be able to implement it or give some clue which will assist some brainbox from this community in hacking this version to get working with WM6. In my eyes this is one of those killer apps.
I tried this on wm6.1, and had the same error message.
IMO the answer is simple: it works using HTC VUEFLO .dll. X7510 has those dll, x7500 doesn't!
In AP4 or AP5 it will work

mhh, simple question?
could you please provide the new vueflo.dll for the old devices ?
If it only a dll to change that should be not a problem, or ?
btw: I've asked the developer, but he told me that he is to busy and have no time in the moment to update this programm.
Thanks for this. It is a great find. Works well with my X7510.
This is a must have application for the X7510. It is just amazing.

For some it is a must have. For others, it is an annoyance and irritation.
only because we can't get it working!
Sorry guys, we doesn´t have these devices for testing.
We just was surprised about the info, our tool is working on HTC Advantage X7510.
Also we not know the reason why it is not working on HTC Advantage X7500.
Possible reasons:
- missing/different software driver
- different ROM/ACU version
- missing needed hardware
As i said, we cannot test because of missing hardware.

Not because of that. It was working all right.
I hated this auto rotate thing because 9 out of times the rotate happens against my wish, and it slows my device.
After the initial few minutes of novelty, I was already wanting to switch it off.

Thanks for the info, but I still far prefer assigning rotate screen to a hardware button and just press that when I want to rotate.

No, I don't, there are SOME dll, you can find it in the AP4 / AP5 ROM. I agree, the rotation is too slow and the screen rotation is useless and time consuming 90% of time. My brain is much faster in image rotation and my finger is slower than brain but acts only when needed

Screen rotation is fast on mine. Might be ROM or today screen related in yours.
The speed you can change in settings: #timeout(value) - default value 1000 ms

X7500 (Ameo) with AP4 or AP5
I have tried it, but still I get the message that the gsensor cannot be found.
Edit:
Oeps it just start working. I noticed the veuflo was disabled.
can anyone post those .dll files, so others can use them? thanks
Folks,
I only got my baby yesterday, but is anyone else finding this?
For me, the device will only switch to landscape mode for Opera, Photos & Videos, and Teeter. Not in TouchFlow 3D Home or any of its tabs, Mobile Office apps, TomTom 7, ...anything!
I've tried turning off Touchflow 3D and rebooting with no effect and with the G-Sensor there is no manual setting to force landscape.
This makes the keyboard in TomTom tiny and means that the screen isn't that much more usable for Office apps than my venerable old 2.8" TyTn.
Please could someone tell me if it's just my phone that's afflicted or is it a "feature"?
Thanks!

no thats totally normal. and known since the first infos of the HD came out.
If you really want full landscape switching, get Gyrator2 or Gsen. both can be found on this forum
It doesn't help you, JTHM, but I hardly ever use landscape mode in my Touch (Elf) so perhaps the way the Touch HD works is by design for people like me. The only time landscape mode offers any advantage to me is for photos, videos and web browsing. With the mini USB connector at the bottom, my Touch is always in its cradle in portrait orientation and it sits in the car more easily this way too.
I'm surprised there's no manually-activated landscape option in the software though.
(Sorry that this post doesn't really help you but perhaps it illustrates that for some (maybe most?) users the lack of landscape isn't a problem at all and may therefore be by design.)
Hang on, can I clarify.
I like to use my xda2i in landscape with my bluetooth travel keyboard sometimes. Does this mean that i can't just rotate the screen to landscape and use it in landscape mode with my keyboard??

I think that raziel1 has already answered that question? Use Gyrator2 or Gsen both of which can be found in this forum.
It does seem to be missing a trick by not have some software button built in to switch the screen though.
I had one flaw with the HD: The typing. I wanted (like Iphone) to use the keyboard in landscape so i had more room for my fingers. But the HD doesn't do that standard.
I installed Gyrator 2 and set it to switch to landscape when i use my keyboard. In every application, now when I use my keyboard and tilt the device, the screen rotates.
It made my HD even better.
Which is better? Gsen or Gyrator? I know they have other features but I only want an app to rotate landscape and uses minimal memory as I guess it needs to be running on start up.
ok, gyrator is a PROGRAM. I thought it was another handset or something. oh as long as there is soemthing you can do te get the landscape working that's sweet for me. I'm really close to buying one of these beasts!
I'm surprised that TomTom doesn't rotate automatically.
I've sure I've seen screen shots of it in Landscape mode and wouldn't have thought those web site's had installed any other third-party screen orientation software.
Beards.
You can also purchase Resco keyboard. It has large keys that you can use with your fingers. Well that depends how big your fingers are. Best to download a copy of the program, install it and test it out.
And since the screen is 3.8, it should give you plenty of space on top to see your message?

I'd like to see a full landscape keyboard, but can't find any pics/vids if u could try, and post it I'd be most appreciative.
best regards

yeah, after another reboot it's working now. tried it in a couple apps and seems fine so far... funny thing is with the streaming video app, when you go to fullscreen it auto rotates the screen, but as soon as you move the hd to landscape position gyrator rotates it again... will need to check out the docs on how to add exceptions.

i have the same problem, ... i have downloaded the latest version of gyrator 2 ...and when i restart the device , it request to onstall new version of .net compact framework ( it hink to download the 3,5 version) ..; i have the same error message : ObjectDisposedException
what can i do ...because gsen is too unstable ( read in feedbacks) ???
thanks
I have installed the newest build of Opera 9.5 (15233) from the Omnia on my HD (so that I can install Flash Lite for YouTube etc.) and I must say that it is quicker than the supplied version.
However, it will not rotate with the G-sensor or at all. I have looked through the settings, config and registry and have found nothing that changes the situation (in the registry there is HKLM\Software\Opera\GSensor\IdleTime set at 200 but I have no idea what that refers to).
Does anybody have any ideas? I'm using Gyrator2 at the moment but would prefer it to work natively.
Thanks in advance...
Have you tried it without Gyrator installed? Perhaps the two are conflicting.
Yeah I tried that at first cos Gyrator can be a bit of a pain. Now I've turned of almost all the events it works ok.
I have noticed that my SMS and Mail don't rotate either...
hey mate,
just use mobilemagic instead of g-sens. rotation works flawlessly for messages as well. (you need compact framework 3.5 - you should find a cab here at the forum - in case you haven't already flashed a custom ROM)
regards
irm
If I'm not mistaken, on the gyrator site, the developer states that rotation on the HD has been turned off purposely so it wouldn't conflict with TF3D. He goes on to say that strange things can happen when software like gyrator (and gsens or mobilemagic) is used to undo that.
On my machine it's mainly the phone module which gets in the way (using gsens). It works fine until I phone or am phoned and then it might or might not work properly after that, showing the screen rotating back and jumping to Home or the phone module or something.
Does Mobilemagic have any of that?

Hi guys,
Sorry for the new topic but I'm having trouble finding an app to rotate the screen to landscape for wm 6.5 - I've tried gsens and it doesn't work. Can someone point me to the right direction?
Thanks
for manually change try RotateScreen
[EDIT]
ups....sorry
here is the right one...
The zip file seems to be empty :S. Thanks for the reply though however i would prefer auto rotation - I'm not sure why this isnt auto supported with the rom ....
Edit - Gyrator 2 - That's so far provided the best results!
Try Gyrator. (http://gyrator.brins0.net/) I use it on my windows mobile 6.5, and it works perfectly!

Gyrator2 is amazing lol. it flips the phone so fast. its way faster then it was before in apps that it would flip in. and when the phone is in landscape the keyboard still knows and changes its type. thanks for the link
i found in this it work well with my TD2 . go to this link find the software name changeScreen v2.78 – Auto Screen Rotation application
Is there a driver and associated registry settings that allows haptic feedback in the Raphael for Manila tabs, on-screen keyboard et.al. or does one have to use a third party program?
Bumparoo...
BTW, mods, this is a cooking issue, but if any of you feel it is specific enough to warrant moving to the Raphael sub-forum, be my guest.
i blieve its the package touchflo that arranges that
atleast it is for my blackstone
dont know if you can use it for vga device though
if you wanna give it a shot i can upload it for you
I think so too. I just want to know if it's a specific version. I'll play around with the S2 package I have and report back.

i cant remeber to have a package called touchflo in the s2 rhodiumrom?
am i right you mean that rom?
the touchflo package im reffering to whas in the blackstone default rom
attached it to be sure as i think it will work for vga to
going further here as its off topic for the other thread
in that package i have a setting that enables/disables haptic feedback for me on keyboard and tabs:-o i believe on the diamond rom wich i made for a friend it also works that way
would have to check at his phone to be 100 sure though
SOLVED
PHP:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\KeyState]
"UseService"=dword:00000001
Make sure this value is set at 1 in shared modules package. Vibration in both Manila tabs and keyboard.
