Does someone know if there is any Field Test Display / Netmonitor Application for the Xperia X1 available?
If it would exist, and show all important network data like BCCH, CID, LAC and NCELL list this would be so great.
you mean this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475359 ?
Yes. But I thought that *#*#364#*#* would just work with authentic HTC Devices and not with the SonyEricsson branded Xperia X1.
Simple question then, why didn't you search or even try *#*#364#*#*
Until now I don't own a Xperia X1. I think over to buy a SonyEricsson Xperia X1 or a HTC Touch HD.
The Touch HD has the netmonitor, but no keyboard. The Xperia X1 has the keyboard, but I don't know if it also has a netmonitor.
fieldtest.exe is inside teh windows folder of pretty much every build of winmo, didn't even need searching for
Why would netmonitor be of interest to the regular user? Just asking
is there a list of other codes that can be inserted on the xperia to check hidden options?
*#*#364#*#* works on the X1
Martyn136, you say that netmonitor is available on HTC touch HD - any hints how? The code *#*#364#*#* does not work, I also tried searching the registry for an appropriate key enabling it, but no success. Anyone managed to run fieldtest/netmonitor/engineermode/whatever on HTC Touch HD?

Dial code *#*#364#*#* DOES work in stock ROMs but not in some cooked ROMs - Tested
Open /windows/fieldtest.exe
The dialcode invokes that program = it's the same

Hello there
got myself today a mda pro. On my ipaq 4150 I played I lot with snes for pocket pc. This doesn't work on my new mda pro. Which emulator like snes, mame, GBA works on MDA Pro
Im a big Amiga fan, so I just signed up to this;
http://pocketinsanity.sourceforge.net/
Its for PPC devices, and it *almost* works on my Exec, so I posted a message on the developers forum to let him know.
Cheers
Nas
MorphGear is probably the best all-round Emulator. Though recently they've changed the way you use it, preferring to go for plug-in style bits rather than an all-in-one .exe

Cheers
Ant
PS - you'll have to find your own ROMs

I already installed it. But whith the vga screen it crashes.
p.s. I have 10.000 of roms
I cant get MorphGear to work at all on my XDA Exec
Get the error;
Destiny: Exception in E:\dev\spicypixel\destiny\src\gapi\gapidisplay.cpp at line 355. Unable to open display.
Any idea how to fix this????
i have the same error...
however that is only since i did my 1st rom update.... with the original t-mobile dutch rom it worked..
The Morphgear is trying to use the GAPI drivers, and since those are not supported in the WM5, you need to switch it to GDI instead (much slower).. If you'r not able to open the settingspanel for morphgear, you can manually change it in the registry (don't remember the key though)
If you look at the supportforums at morphgear you'll soon find that this is the #1 most reoccuring question. (at least when I last checked)
best regards

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MorphGear\DisplayDriver
It's probably a 3 right now. You can change it to any of the following numbers:
0=GDI
1=GAPI
2=RawFrameBuffer
3=Auto
when set to GDI (=0) it works fine again
thnx LOMF
ScummVM works, but only in QVGA mode, and the screen is 180 degrees rotated.

Hi .First i would like to say im a really new at PPC and Windows Mobile.
Here is my Question: Is there any software/programs to my HTC diamond that can Mapping Wireless on a map or with my Tomtom gps software ?.
Sorry for bad english but not my main language.
PS. I have tryed Ministumbler but it says no WiFi adapter in the program.
No, 3-dimensional WiFi mapping is impossible without at least three receivers.
Unless that's not what you mean.

Try wififofum it can save locations of the access points via your builtin gps in an xml file, which you can convert to googlemaps format, ...
+1 to wififofum. I located over 100 hotspots in one hour with normal bike and small city. Easy and fast.
I used gpsbabel to convert poi's tomtom.
better get Airomap, more Info than wififofum and exports results to about anything you like...
and if you like to share and maybe even earn some small $s check navizon (which is a great idea!)
yes, I have Airomap, it's free and works well with google earth
Hey,
i'm currently thinking about changing my Acer n311 for a Diamond Touch.
Now just one question:
does airomap definitly work with the Diamond (including GPS)?
Thanks a lot
yes - it does
Thank you very much! So I just have to wait for the first reviews of the Touch HD, and than decide, which one to take
like to ask whether applications for diamond/pro/HD suitable for use in touch cruise?
any sites got free applications for touch cruise?
i need gprs data counter to prevent me from using over limit.
thx
This phone is a windows mobile (6.1) phone. It is compatible with any windows mobile software. You can look in this forum and elsewhere on the internet, there are plenty of compatible softwares.
There are however some ROM, user interface which are specifically related to one phone and may not be compatible with another. Usually it is indicated as a specific phone software.
thx
lets say if i installed a .cab file to iolite, i realised it's for diamond/pro/HD. Will it hang/corrupt my iolite?
i found some applications but im not sure whether i can use it on iolite. I only afraid crash/hang/corrupt it if i have installed a wrong .cab
*sorry for so many questions..im a new WMuser, my iolite will only arrive nxt week*
the iolite is QVGA, if the software have VGA and QVGA version, you have to choose QVGA...
I am always suspicious of htc diamond ROM that system missing some useful dll library. There is a application that works well in HTC P3600. and this application included a dll that be shelled by UPX tool. when the application is migrated to Diamond, it reported " is not a valid pocket pc application". but
it did not tell me why. i was annoyed by this question.
the same case , I have a streaming appication using ffmpeg. it works well in HTC P3600 as well. but it failed in Diamond and report the same error.Oh my god. Who can help me? I have a commerical application came across the same question and there is a wap library without source code. and Diamond
did not recognize it. Faint!!
Hi guys, this is my first post her on xda-developers, so go easy
I am developing for HTC HD2 windows mobile 6.5 phone, all is going well execpt the fact phone seems to have a different SIP (keyboard) than the default windows one. The HTC one takes up more screen in my application so I would like to get the windows one back. I have tried changing themes, etc but I cant get rid of the HTC one.
Any ideas ?
Thanks.
i tried a lot to make it possible to use the keyboard from wm6. there are some fragments in the reg. but it was not possible for me to activate it.
Hmm, this seems strange as I have an application on my HD2 which is used to configure my BT printer and it has exactly the same keyboard as WM6 so it must be possible.
