The Adobe Reader LE that is preinstalled in the ROM hasn't got the option Reflow. I have tried to install the Adobe Reader that came with the diamond, but the cab seems to change nothing. Anyone got somehow the reflow option for reading PDFs?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I have installed the Diamond cab and this added the reflow optiond and worked fine. In this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460640 is the reflow problem solved.

Do you mind sharing the cab? Maybe is different from the one I have used...
Thanks in advance.
Could I install another adobe reader LE 2.5 cab file on top of the original one to restore the reflow function??
http://rapidshare.com/files/165965387/Adobe_PDF_2.5_Diamond_version.cab
The one in this topic has reflow.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3067793#post3067793
Since I am afraid of deleting the adobe reader LE on the ROM, so I used another way to resolve this problem.
I extracted the exe. file of adobe reader LE from my diamond (2.09M instead of 2.01M of HD ) and placed it manually under a folder in programs. In order to avoid confusion, I named it as adobe readerLEv25.exe. The I placed a ink. of this revised version in the startup. Now I can have reflow again!!!
Not working

genesicgaogaiga and sproxy,
Thank you for your tips. I have tried both cabs, and I think they are the same I found previously... Its not working for me, I do not know why. The installations seem to be fine, but then everything continues the same way, without reflow option anywhere. I have also tried to install the diamond version in the storagecard, and after restarting (every installation ask for it) I cannot find the program in the storecard, and pdfs are open with the same version without reflow.
I also tried to install the version 2.0 download from adobe.com. Doing so, it is launched another this version but after telling you are etering in rflow mode, it crashes and is automatically closed. In short, I cannot open pdfs files with this other version.
Any ideas?

hi,
check your registry.
current_user/software/adobe/adobereaderle.25/ EnableReflow 0 to 1!
no install or messing around with other cabs needed.
what bugs me, is the "performance" of the reader. on my old herald dragging the pages was very smooth. on the hd i have the feeling of "3 line" mouse scrolling, which is very unprecise. any solution for that?

You need a registry editor like the one I attached.
Once installed, run it and find the keys you need to make the desired changes. Keys are like "folders" in the registry.
It works

I also like this program but also have the same reservations as others. I was also looking around on the XDA forums and found this one about the program http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321712&page=40 does anyone here find that it drains battery or memory from your Trinity?
I also used Slueth's SIPChange program. Now, how do I remove it?
Slueth says to remove it "just remove sipchange.exe from /windows and sipchange.lnk from /windows/startup and /windows/start menu/programs"
I don't have sipchange.exe in /windows I do have a folder in /My Device/Program Files do I delete that and sipchange.lnk from /windows/startup and /windows/start menu/programs? And would that remove it? I like to have my machine running fairly clean so would want to remove all of the program!
Any help would be appreciated
Sorry for the load of newbie questions. Could not find an answer to this on google. Does anyone know to do this?
I found GSen to react buggy on my HD, sometimes would work, sometimes not. Recommend you to try the free Gyrator, where exclusion is very easy:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427805
Start - Programs - Gsen CFG
Make sure the file has a line like this:
#window(Manila)
and save the file. Other exclusions you may want are
#window(TEETER)
#window(opera)
#window(htcalbum)
#window(cprog.exe)
#window(youtube)
Gsen has been working fine for me.

That's touchflo3d though isnt it? I want to exclude the windows mobile today screen. I disabled touchflo3d as it is limited in what it can do.
Any thoughts?
I know this is borderline bumping ;-) but I just wanted to say thanks for the tip on
#window(youtube)
That's an important one because if not, any movement (at least on my HD) will attempt to turn the video around and it gets lost in the process. I then end up with a video the size of my thumbnail.
Gyrator did not work on my HD. After installation, it just gave me an error. So, I use gsen and so far no problems (other than the youtube issue).
Being ex-UIQ3 and new to WinMob apologies if this is dumb. Have loaded GSEN which seesm to work fine except on the TouchFlo screens. Settings I need to alter perhaps?
does anyone have the GSEN cab file they can post here? ive been looking for 2 days and cant find it?????
many thanks
heres GSEN & Gyrator if anybody wants them
Can I somehow add application to some list of multitouch enable apps ? I for example saw iGO8 and zoom by multitouch on some video but on my HD2 its not possible ? any idea ?
Hi,
Yes it is
add
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\HTC\TouchGL\VirtualDe sktop\WhiteList\IGO8]
"ProcName"="iGO8.exe"
Is there someone who can build a program with which you can add programs to the Registry.
It specifies the name of the exe and the program automatically creates the key in the registry
Sorry for my English ^ ^ I'm German

Wasn't there a very similar app written to add programs to a whitelist for the G-Sensor on the Diamond, Touch Pro, etc? Perhaps the creator of that app can alter it slightly?
I would search and PM him/her, but I've wasted enough of my working day already...

Hi Jetiman
Yes this is what mobilitygeek from PocketPC.ch found out (ok, with your help *ggg*)
Hi Jetiman, my forum mod Cendaryn pointed me to go here.
Yes you're right - this is working. The above key adds zoom functionality to the iGO8 app (the one with the mini-overview at the botton).
If there is a developer interested in making a useful app for that - feel free to contect me here by PM
(so I have to be active here too )
Can't promise how quick but I'll knock something together to do this......
Watch this space, my HD2 arrives tomorrow !

Try Makeveral, he created G-config but don´t know if he is going to get an HD2. Now he is developing BsB WM6.5.1 ROM for Diamond.
Quick update - almost done - just needs a bit of tidying up will hopefully post cab tonight
hAndyZoom - Enable Pinch & Zoom
Here it is - hAndyZoom
Pretty simple - install the cab and run the program.
Select the program you would like to add to the 'Whitelist' for pinch and zoom then click enable and you should be good to go.
Hopefully, it works based on the earlier posts but can't test it as my HD2 doesn't come untill tomorrow.
Any issues let me know.

Confirmed not working! Please wait with the development until you got your HD2
Sorry everyone - tried it on my TouchPro 2 and the list of files appear and it writes the registry values - HD2 coming today - I'll have a play and update as soon as I can.
Just thought i would share my search for a good e-reader for my HD2.
I have not installed doc tabs or ereader from HTC so looking for 3rd party options.
Freda looks ok - but nothing special that stands out. just a good solid app.
Lexcycle - dont do one for WM.
Mobipocket seems interesting and snazzy with desktop integration and is the one i chose -it does sync, and guttenberg also has mobipocket files, and it can import pdf and html and text etc. it seems well featured with most features you would expect and want.
HOWEVER, just be warned that the cab from their website did not work on first install. I had to uninstall it, and then install to my device via the mobipocket desktop software before touch navigation and menus would work.
It seems adequately features and not as nice as stanza, but OK. If you have touchscreen woes though, install through the desktop app.
Other suggestions are of course welcome.
I think there is one called AIreader that everyone recommends...might want to look it up.
I haven't tried it personally...I like the HTC ereader, but I need to find the cab for it alone since my new rom doesn't have it on it...
I am in love with AlReader! Just perfect!
Im attaching the (freeware) English version. Hope that's okay (it's so hard to find on the web)
I'll give it a try tomorrow and update my post
p.s. I am reluctant to give htc's ereader a whirl as apparently it is quite buggy.
I also like this one...but it would be soooo cool if we got a fingerfriendly version for our HD2...anyone up to the task.
I admit I still have a longing for the tabbed interface and large book covers that you get from the HTC e-reader

The best Ebook reader on Windows Mobile is Allreader+. Unfortunately it isn't free but is worth the money, it can read all the important formats as far as I'm concerned and it has so many options that allow you to set it up exactly as you want.
Other options which are good are uBook and Mobireader.

Of course Freda already has finger-friendly navigation (configurable swipes and taps) to change page etc. As for finger-friendly settings screens, bookmarking and table-of-contents navigation, I am working on it ...

Thanks for Freda by the way, it really is gorgeous. I think I will end up using it over AlReader when it loads a little faster and can open in fullscreen mode by default.
But love it!

Can you check the build number on your start-up flash screen. If it is less than 804, it might be worthwhile for you to download a new version (use the dropbox link on my website) - because build 804 should be capable of starting up in fullscreen mode.

To be honest, adding support for extra formats is not one of my priorities for Freda development - because it would make the program bigger, slower and buggier, and in the long run I expect EPUB to become the format of choice.
That said ...
1) As Freda is open-source, someone else might feel differently, and might develop a version to read additional formats. I'm doing some refactoring at the moment, so that adapting Freda in this way will become fairly simple.
2) Calibre is a good (PC based) package that can convert various formats into EPUB; it might be a good solution for you.

Big thumbs up here for Freda! Finally an e-reader which natively supports epub format. No more hassle of converting with Calibre and using Mobipoicket (although not a bad e-reader).
Some minor naggles but I can live with those...

Hi, I am interested in putting a few books on my HD2 to read. I converted them using calibre to .PDB format which is what Barnes and Noble eReaders use for their format. I put the converted file, along with the cover image in the folder /my device/program files/ BN eReader/Books. Is this not the right area to put them in? They do not show up when I open the eReader application. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I could be wrong, but I think the format the program uses is EPUB.
Can I ask you if you could post a tutorial of the conversion of the files (including the cover image)? Or, at least, a place with a nice tutorial.
Thanks!

You could try HTCEBookList.exe in the Windows directory.

You could use a file explorer like Resco's or Total Commander to create a shortcut to HTCEBookList.exe and place in in your start menu. You could then add it as a quicklink too.
If you want a cab file, see my previous post, #4, and also the indexer to add more books.
As for the rom i'm running, my current signature info is up-to-date. I didn't realise the NRGZ28 was not cooking in the reader tab in his current roms.
