After changing the activesync setting, mail tab always show 1 new mail.
Changing of activesync setting is to prevent activesync keep popping up at background.

I find active sync running when it should not be.
How can make run only when I want it to. Manually start and stop active sync.
Add a new server(like dummy exchange server) and then select manually sync. and the activesync shouldn't turn on by itself.
Does a soft reset remove these settings ???
Anyone ever seen this issue?
My Trinity isn't actively receiving push e-mail. It has up until now. I know it's now my server because when I use the Treo push works fine. However, with the Trinity Active Sync isn't syncing in the background.
As soon as I open Active Sync it begins to sync automatically and I receive my mail. Other wise I get nothing.
I haven't changed any settings recently. Active Sync is still allowed to run in the background etc.
(assuming you have't done so) have you soft resetted the device and then tried to sync? also, i had to remove the sync relationship and re-establish the relationship. that resolved my problem in the past.
I have tried soft resetting several times.
If I delete the exchange settings from my device and then re-add them will I end up with doubles of contacts/calendar when the first sync occurs?
You need to go into active directory and restart and stop the mobile services in the exchange general tab. I have noticed that the push mail settings do sometimes hang.
donnu if anyone noticed this, but when i sync my BA with PC automatically my clock on BA is changed to be +1 hour than actual time.
mails on exchange also arive with the changed time.
i change it back while connected but it just returns back.
i disconnect and change it, still the outlook e-mails come with wrong time.
anyone facing this?
Me too on my XDA IIs
U open Active Sync, under tools ---> option ---> setting, U just disable the "Synchronize time to PC" and this may temporary solve you problem.
Somehow I seem to have lost the "envelope" icon for the Outlook account on my Mail Home page.
I have two POP3 mail accounts and the Outlook account and previously there were "envelope" icons for all three accounts together with the new message icon on my Mail home page.
Now I just have just have two envelopes for the POP3 accounts and the new message icon - the Outlook "envelope" has disappeared. If I go to the Inbox all three accounts are there as before and work normally.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can restore the icon to the Mail page without a hard reset ?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
try switching off mail synchro in active-sync on PC -> activate a sync once -> reboot the phone -> switch active-sync on PC on again -> sync once again -> check phone

rhtizzy, many thanks for the response and the suggestion.
Sadly it made no difference. The process removed and then restored all my Outlook mail but there is still no "Envelope" icon for the Outlook account on the Mail TouchFlo Screen.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I've got the same issue. My push mail is coming down to outlook and I even get the new mail displayed as a little envelope with the number of mail on it at the base of the screen. However the main screen is blank and says No account and I only get the option to add a new one. If I go into messaging everything works fine. Any help would be gratefully received.
Having done a good trawl around google it looks like the issue may be Intellisync. Other users who have it display the same issue. It is down to the lack of harmony between TF3D and intellisync. I haven't found a work around or fix yet although someone mentioned hotsyncing to a new outlook programme at least created the mail account if not all of the settings. Sadly I also can't sync to any desktops as it looks like Intellisync is blocking me.
Found the solution
Ok - It looks like I've found the workaround. My guess is that intellisync is added seperately and so doesn't add the outlook details to the main mail page. 1/ First make sure that you turn on the 'activesync' as this is disabled by intellisync (settings for this are in the 'settings/activesync' area of intellisync program)
2/ Make sure that your desktop or laptop has either activesync (for xp) or mobile sync software (for vista) installed.
3/ Set up a new partnership ensuring that 'mail' will synchronise.
3/ Sync with Ms Outlook. NB - I advise using a clean install of ms outlook to ensure no conflicts.
4/ Your mail account is now added to TF3D with full interaction with your account:!
Hi,
I've setup an exchange server on my HD.
I would like to prevent Outlook to automatically send/receive on fixed intervals, only manual send/receive.
It's that possible?
Also can i get a confirmation message when a program connects to internet? Something like Connect / Not connect?
Thanks
We can set manual sync to outlook in Sync menu. So we can sync anytime ,we comfortable. I don't sure about alert msg. wait for another guru.
Go to Start > Messages and open your Outlook client.
Highlight the emailaccount you'd like to sync more often and click the options in the menu.
You should be able to change the sync-interval in there.
I have the setup on every 10 minutes, but it'll consume your battery way faster since it connects to the internet more often.
Have no idea how to enable a confirmation message though.
